That last shot in the dark proves that the 425 is one of the loudest steam locomotives in the world ever since Frisco 1522 was retired. Also, I was given the great honor of riding in the cab on the last ride of the day on Saturday the 8th. Great fun it was. Chris and the lads always put on a class act whenever the 425 is running.
Amazing video! Your work is just astonishing. 425 is such a gorgeous steam locomotive and you do a wonderful job capturing it doing exactly what its designed to do!
Awesome video! I love that SP 6 Chime. I too rode in the cab on the very first trip, Saturday, 10:30, there was a different crew. I love the locations you went to! I found myself in West Hamburg and Leesport. Awesome video again!!
Wow, just an amazing production.. I mean it tells a complete story with not one lick of narration or music. You let 425 tell the tale in her “words”. Just wonderful.
Loved the ending of the 425 pulling a short freight train. And also seeing the sparks shooting into the air was pretty cool to see as well. Awesome video!!!
You hit it out of the park with this one, Chad, intercutting the in-cab and trackside scenes -- as at Peacock's Lock Bridge, and during the pacing shot, and coming under the Pennsy bridge -- excellent work there. Other favorite scenes include the coming and going under the kennel access-road bridge; Carter Jones whistling (more than once!); the changes in focus at 6:38 and coming into PN; the curve at 7:55+, with the leaves blowing in the slipstream as the train passes; the gorgeous pan across the field and the rock cut in the next scene; the engine coming to a stop just past you at PN; and the close-up of the drivers as she backs away from you. Oh, and the after-dark shot at the crossing -- wow! I love the way the class lights resolve out of the headlight blob, and the sparks from the stack, and the light on the running gear as she screams past. The best story-telling you have done so far: A+.
Oren, not only did Chad hit it out of the park, the bases were loaded as well! Carter Jones' quill was pure perfection, laying down Rule 14L exactly as it was intended, without a lot of extra gingerbread as so many other engineers are wont to do. ~Bill Stephens

Nicely done; the cab views complement the pacing, run-bys, and that great night shot. Thumbs up.
You definitely did this trip justice, fantastic scenes all around!!!

Thanks Oren, I really appreciate all of that! Now I just need a ladder and a taller tripod to see about getting these shots you keep talking about 😝
@@BlueCometProductions Plenty of time for that, young man!

This is fantastic! Keep at it Chad!
That guy loves to fire up that whistle, wonder the train doesn't run out of steam.
Great video love it!!!
Fantastic shots!
ES MUY LINDO ESE TREN ES MI FAVORITOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They should decorate the locomotive with the paraphernalia on the front like the blue comet. Then all they would have to do is reletter it!
I just so wish that the RBMN would let 425 be part of their fast freights.
Мне очень нравится паровозный гудок! Паровоз сильный, красивый!!! Природа очень красивая. Замечательно! С Уважением, Россиянка.
Is there a place I can look up the schedule for 425’s trips?
Y’know, I wonder if the SP 6 is the same that was on OP&E 19...
Turn it up.👍👍👍👍
What whistle was it wearing
Great video Chad!
Great video!!! The quality is phenomenal, what camera do you use
Thank you! I use a Canon T5i
Blue Comet Productions Ah ok, I use a T7 for my pictures but a simple and cheap little Somy camcorder for my videos.
Blue Comet Productions it would’ve been cool if they would’ve let shovel the coal
Blue Comet Productions do you use a mic other than the built in one?
Epic
How did you get a cab ride on this beautiful adventure?
One word: money
Do you use a mic other than the built in one?
Train wistle sound like the southern Pacific 3751 locomotive
In this video is 425 sporting an SP 6?
Or a PRR? Not entirely sure but whatever it is, it fits her so well
Who's running 425 in this video?
Great video!
Where dose she run at
It'll be awesome if Norfolk Southern supports 425 in the future after they get the ban on excursions revoked.
Очень красиво едет паровоз!
15:33 425 is shooting sparks
I put The Polar Express music over the run by scenes and I think it suits the train well.
Oof
That’s hot
train#425😐
