- 3 vanilla builds without mods. The best Rocinante out there!
Beratnas and sésatas, you were very kind to me on my last video, so I took the time to gather all your comments and requests into a single long format, which is a first for me. I hope you enjoy it. As always, don't hesitate to let me know what you think and what you'd like to see in the future.
🔗 Inara: the best tool from E:D, now on Starfield.

Note on outposts: I don't mention them in the video because several players have told me that they don't use this aspect of the game and therefore don't have a landing pad available to them.

I really appreciate that you wrote down what parts to get from what places. Most build guides don't bother with critical details like that at all.
I'm happy some people like the shopping lists! Text is still readable? I know it's a bit small because there's so much info to put.
A little small on a phone.
@@James_BeeOk noted!
Is the shopping list on the Inara site?
Nvm I'm an idiot
The quality of guidance offered really raises the bar for tutorials. Bravo, sir.
This is a very nice comment, thanks!
This is probably the best ship Building guide I've seen. No one else shows the process of going place to place to pick up the unique items from different yards.
I'm happy you liked it, thanks!
I spent half the night watching your video tutorial building it as I was browsing through the perfect variant that's closest to the design of the Roci! A mix of steps, advice & some good laughs put together! Best Starfield Ship building tutorial video hands down!
I am genuinely surprised by not only the work of your ship but the quality of your video! I believe that more Starfield/Expanse Geeks need to give your stuff a watch. Definitely looking forward to more content especially when the CreationKit comes out
Keep up da gut wowk, Beratna 🔥
The experience you describe is exactly what I wanted to offer. I am very touched by your comment. Thank you so much!
One of my favorite things about the show are the space battles, the ones that start ramping up in season 2 after our crew of heroes settle into the Roci more. I love the way the ships move and drift and strafe one another with PDCs - and you’ve done such a good job capturing that in this video.
It looks really cool, but I don't think they are particulary realistic. I think space battles would consist of tubes throwing copious amounts of missiles and torpedoes at each other. Not the close knife fighting ranges.
The level of detail you've gone into every single part of this video is absolutely top-notch.
Thanks!!!
Can only imagine the amount of effort you put into this, very humbled and appreciative. Now to try building it :)
That's very kind of you, thank you!
Hands down the best production video I’ve seen for Starfield so far - and generally for a very long time. Awesome shipbuilding clinic, and lovely Rocinante. Love your work.
Thanks a lot!
This is exactly what I was looking for and you laid it all out the best way possible! Thank you so much!
Thanks!
Holy hell this is the most immersive guide video I have *ever* watched in my life. This is amazing work!
Thanks a lot!
this is the most cleanest, informative and entertaining Starfield build video put out, much applauded. continue the good work. 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you very much!
Finally got enough scratch for the C1 and came back here for the guide today. Absolutely outstanding video and ship building my guy!
Thanks! Enjoy the C1!
Awesome video! Step by step explanation and the nice music! 11/10 !
Thanks!
Man this looks amazing, definitely getting my perks up to build this asap.
Great video and great builds man
Top notch video, thank you for making it a lot easier to build.
Wow you listened, thanks man i will be building this as soon as i hit class B i love that you've done 3 variants for B class then C and the shoppin glist is a great touch, instant sub gained
Thanks man!
Fantastic video design man, and great ship!
Thanks a lot!
Wow, what an absolutely excellent tutorial. The production value of this long-form content, considering it is your first attempt, is spectacular. Definitely worthy of a sub and I can't wait to see what you do next!
PS: I especially appreciated the side of role-play with Amos Burton being the one to take us through the tutorial, that was brilliant.
Thanks! It means a lot.
Super nice editing on this!
Thanks a lot!
Love it man! Great job on the video!!
Thanks a lot!
I just wanted to drop you a message to say how much I appreciate your amazing ship-building tutorial. Your detailed guide on how to build an early version of the ship, how and where to gather the necessary components, and then progress to the next level as players develop their skills and resources is incredibly insightful and helpful. To me your tutorial really helps the player to optimize their progression in the game. Your dedication and creativity are making a significant impact, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has benefited greatly from your content. Keep up the fantastic work
Wow thanks! So many support I’m so glad you guys liked it!
ey dude, what a perfect video! fantastic intro very good explanation, and funny sidekicks. Also great music cut. really very, very good
Thanks! Means a lot.
Amos giving the tutorial is perfect! Also great builds & video.
Thanks!
What an outstandingly well put together video & tutorial. My path is clear now...
Thanks a lot!
Absolutely phenomenal presentation and attention to detail.
Thanks a lot!
incredible! props for the intro too looks straight out of the Expanse!
Thank you so much!
Great vid. I built it from your first vid, using .25 playback speed. Great build, you earned a sub. Keep up the good work. Rocinante FTW
Thanks!
I like how they def took inspiration from the show and made Amos the mechanic look like him
the quality in your editing is insane, gj!
Thanks a lot!
Cheeky with the X-Wing Alliance music in the background of the build. Instant subscribe!
Thanks! Only the best know it!
Thank you. Gorgeous job.
Thanks!!
lmao i love that you filled the counter with coffee, that’s awesome. Absolutely true to lore.
Martian coffee all the way!
Nice one, Hoss!
I love that you added a ton of Coffee @1:38 LMAO Holden will be happy about that!
He will for sure! Thanks!!
great video hands down
Thanks!
That intro was pretty well done ngl
Thanks
This is an incredible video, the video itself is so well put together and the design is so cool and sleek, youre now my go to for ship builds.
Id personally love to see a small and sleek bounty hunter / space scoundrel ship. A ship thats a long term home of a wandering space ace, rather than just a vehicle. I really like ships that are U shaped, with two wing structures that reach in front of the cockpit a long way, with the cockpit and main living space in the center.
Thanks a lot! And noted :)
@@CaldenR how did you use your ship in the simulator btw?
I love this. I can't wait to leave work to update my ship.
I hope you will like it!
why i never knew this great channel before? one sub from me to you, mister! your videos very brilliant, the presentation without a single voice when ship building amazed me. Cause english is not my native language, so i need to replay almost every 5 minutes just to understand. Great work!
Thank you very much!
Love this Roci build.
What I love most about the ship combat is just like in the expanse you can use thrusters to turn in any direction while maintaining your trajectory. Makes dog fighting so much fun
Thanks! It is indeed fun! Still waiting for a mod that modify thrusters power to have even more fun!
Fantastic work! got yourself a sub my friend!!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome guide. Thank you
Thanks!
This is a great build. I tried it out, and it basically wipes the floor with any opponents. Even at a level 50 Rocinante C1, it wiped the floor with the Legendary Ecliptic Battleship Camulus. The fight was over so quickly, I hardly registered that it was supposed to be more challenging than a typical clash. You did a great job laying out the build. Thanks.
Thanks a lot!
excellant dude!
Thanks!
OMG the X-Wing Alliance family room music!! I haven't heard that in 20 years. Subbed
This video is now the official fan club of this music
Pure Deliciousness! Liked & Subbed! ;)
Thanks!
Best by far. I appreciate the Amos role play. For this video, you definitely get a sub.
Thanks!
Bro, i slowed down your video on the first Rocinante video you posted to build my own version of this amazing build. Love it so far, added cargo up to 10000 on it.
Nice! 10000 is hell of a hauler!
Love the Coffee detail in the kitchen.
I knew some people would like it!
This is so fun to watch! Very nice tutorial, awesome screen design, sound/music choice! Love the humor! Please make more of these tutorials! Next ship: what about the Millennium Falcon? Or X-Wing? or the Jupiter spacecraft from the Netflix series Lost in Space ;)
Thanks! Yes I'm still doubting about going Star Wars on the next one, but then maybe I would do something that hasn't been done yet, I'll see!
Thx mate!!! Great video!!
Thanks a lot!
Quality content creation is always appreciated. Have all my +1's.
Thanks a lot!
I don't even want to build a Rocinante, but you seemed to have so much fun in making this Video, we clearly can see that. Lots of Detail and motivation. Man i have to like the Video. Just a fantastic made Video. Keep on building. Just beautiful. Oh, and the build is really good. I watch Starfield Builds, but never use builds in games. But i like to see what others create.
Thank you so much!
This isn't just the finest example of detailed Starfield ship construction video that I've ever seen, it is a work of art. 😮
Thanks a lot!
Oh she's a thing of beauty.
My dude.......... amazing quality
Thanks a lot!
What an awesome video. I put her together last night and took her for a spin. Melts crazy fast and I feel like a jack rabbit using thrusters (In a class C!)
My favorite ship, hands down 👍👊
Thanks a lot! I'm happy you like it!
Very imppressive!!🤩
Loved your intro absolutely amazing your extremely talented would love to see you do a unsc style frigate next
Thanks a lot!
Holy shit, the production quality of this video is amazing! Great video, the action shots, the explanations of things, and the damn shopping list! Bravo! Oh yeah, "What's your name??!!" Subbed!
Thanks!!!
Solid ship, even cleaner edits🔥
Thanks!
She's much more than just "Legitimate Salvage". Didn't expect her to dance like that in space. I could just imagine Amos hanging off some bulkhead for dear life after he decided something JUST HAD to be patched mid battle. Oh well, if he doesn't do it Naomi will and he has a soft spot for her so...
You my friend have a sub.
That went straight to my heart o7
Amos? Don't you mean "Murder Snuggles" 😅
@@Neognostic-pk5wu I just called him Bro. He is like a big brother to everyone on that ship.
I really hope we do get a series of videos, you did an amazing job with this video, even if I'm not a fan of the ship/tv series. I love the whole approach, design, the attention for details and that you are showcasing how the ship looks inside, the costs, the parts and the building process. Watched a couple of nice ship building videos, but this feels like another level, even compared to videos from huge gaming channels that focus on these kind of video types.
If I can drop some wishes, I would love to see videos on Stargate (Atlantis) - USS Daedalus, Babylon 5 (any Earth Alliance ship type, maybe the Hyperion class would be possible, Nova class would be impossible I guess), and/or Battlestar Pegasus/Galactica would be my favourites.
Thanks a lot! Annnnd NOTED ;)
Ha, didn't forget all of Holden's coffee. Nice touch.
Thank you
Thanks to you!
Love how you added all the coffee for Holden 😂
We’ll done!
Thanks!!
Depuis le temps que je chercher un build du Roci aussi poussé.... Tu me combles ;)
Ça m'as donné plein d'idées pour le mien, je suis actuellement au level 42 donc je vais me limité au c1 pour le moment ;)
Merci ! Profite bien !
Well made video. Legit thought you have over 100k subs.
Thanks a lot!
I'm a simple man, I hear the XWA soundtrack, I click like.
Allow me, dear sir, to give you the seal of respectability.
I have the "old" version you put on reddit. And yesterday I had an awesome battle where I drifted around asteroids. Totally worth it.
I'm so happy to read that! Thanks!
@@CaldenR One thing I prefer are fixed weapons over turrets. I like boarding way to much to not be able to target subsystems
Dude, the substance/quality of this video is actually insane. The actual "how to build it" aspect of this video with the cool Amos tips/tutorial pop ups, the really cool intro scene, the effort put into the beginning presentation of the versions of ships you can build, including a list of parts with how much they cost and where to buy them etc., and the music choices are dope.
This shit had me like "damn, what other kind of videos does this guy make. If this one and the trailer video are the only uploads from this channel, that would be crazy." But I see you used to make those Arma 3 cinematics which actually explains it. I watched the Bellerophon and Op Frenchpoint videos, and they were really cool.
As a side question, since I see you're actually responding to comments and this video seems to showcase your know-how when it comes to the ship building mechancs; I've been playing this game for a little bit now and have built/modified a couple ships but something I don't quite understand is how the ship module/parts selections work. I assume the parts you can choose from are based on the vendor you're modifying the ship at and your level (based on some of the wording in this video). Do you know if there's a way to get most or all of the selections at one place?
Thanks a lot! I'm happy you enjoyed it. For your question, there are two main methods:
1. Set up your own outpost and install a "Landing Pad with Shipbuilder". You'll have access to most of the basic components at home, and you'll have to go and get the "unique" parts from each builder. To find out which builder is where, here's a link: ibb.co/ctVZsys
2. For people who don't want to create an outpost, you can refer to the visual I've linked to you to find out which manufacturer is present where. And for specific components, go to the site I advertised in the video: inara.cz (on this website you can also see the level required for each part, level determines if you can "see" the part in the list, and perks requirements will just display the parts in grey, meaning you can't use it because of the perk, not the level).
There's one information to bear in mind: when you're in a city where there's a manufacturer's headquarters, the ship technician at the spaceport will have the brand's basic parts, but unique parts will only be available at the manufacturer's showroom.
@@CaldenR Thank you seriously for the detailed response. This actually makes sense. I guess it's time to finally look into outpost building. The manufacture distribution list is nice to have and I'll definitely check out this inara site as well.
@@OTSSquad Have good fun my good sir!
That's gorgeous!
Love your guide too. Were those coffee bags?? I hope they were from Mars :D
MCRN Standard Purpose Coffee Beans
@@CaldenR "Holden loved that".
I thought I recognized the background music during the build demonstrations... it's the same background music at Azzameen Home Base from Star Wars x-Wing Alliance. Very good choice!
Thanks!
Great job there “belta lauda”
Thanks!
Excellent, everybody got a guide out, but too lazy to give the main information we need to create our dream ship, that you just inspire our creative. Thank you and you can trust and believe I hit that thumb up, I subscribe. This was excellent effort.
Thanks a lot!
I love that while other ship builds look like they are built for style and for people (in universe) to gawk at the Rociinante Class Vessels look like they are built to be absolute dogs of war. All go and very little in the way of show. Half expect graffiti on the hull that states "This Machine Kills."
Thanks! Indeed look, but indeed efficiency!
Amazing work, love this! Would love any updates along the way if you find little ways of improving/upgrading stats.
I think I used the best components and now stats are balanced between mobility, stamina, cargo and offensive capabilities. Now, by changing modules you can either increase its offensive capabilities, or increase its resistance, etc. What changes next are the perks: aneutronic fusion, for example, is a game changer!
@@CaldenR What's your next ship attempt? Donnager would be amazing
jfc the production quality on your video is AAA+ def gave a like and sub and am looking forward to more from you! on a little side note what was the music playing at the end of the intro segment?
Thanks a lot! It's Secession Studios - Aberration.
NB: With me you can always check the description: I make sure all these infos are in it ;)
Insanely well scripted guide. Love the Amos Burton pseudo-quotes!
Thanks a lot!
“What does the name even mean?”
“It means we need to find some windmills”
Fantastic builds, just finished (mostly) copying the B-Class. One nitpicky detail worth revising imho, the "hump" (Stroud Nose Cap D) should be one slot further to the front. For the C-Class the location is perfect, but for B it isn't quite right when looking at the original Roci. Can be easily fixed by changing the front Deimos wing to a small type and picking a different arrangement of Deimos wings for the aft.
Thank you, and that's a very good point! In fact the B version was built from the C, which is the original, and I didn't take too much account of the fact that the B is shorter, because I was sticking to the logic of not touching anything that doesn't change (to make the build easier). I've totally overlooked this detail, and it's an excellent idea for balancing the ship's silhouette!
Excellent content 🎉 Only problem is that now I'm stuck listening to Prodigy for the next weeks😂
If I have a suggestion, essentially for us Starborn, is that if you find an upgrade path from high level hostile type (Va'ruun, Ecliptic or Crimson Fleet have some good B and C class) or for the less law abiding US colonist's ship. It always felt weird to me to that gorgeous but completely alien ship to knock on the door of Constellation 😂
Merci Adrien ! So the thing about that method (I tought about it) is that it requires a tailored path for various scenarios. So, I propose a "max cost" if you decide to buy every component by yourself (never happens). You'll naturally spend less the more advanced is the ship you buy/capture.
Focus on ships that need essential parts like reactors or engines. The shopping list is also here to show you the priciest things so you know where to save money.
NB: for people who are using mods, consider using "Lower Ship Registration Fee" if you think that paying 90% of the price of a vehicle to register it doesn't make sense.
Between Star Gate ships and The expanse eventually I will have to buy this game ...and the system to play it. If you haven't already a Daedalus class ship build would be phenomenal.
And the more you wait the more mods there will be!
Absolutely love this! My only criticism is maybe put out a video for the C2 from the ground up. Unless I may not be understanding that you built the first through 3rd in stages since you can’t get all parts from one location?
Thanks a lot! The idea was to have a Rocinante that you can upgrade according to your level. People who want to build the C2 from scratch can, and I've put the total cost at the beginning of the chapter devoted to it, but I haven't done the whole build to avoid the video going on even longer than it is now. I totally understand your point of view, I was just already afraid to publish a 33-minute video, so imagine 50 :D
@@CaldenRanother issue I’m having are parts that should be at certain vendors will randomly stop being available. Currently lvl 86. New Atlantis will randomly stop having viking cockpits or the landing gear. So I’m hopping around a lot lol
@@devilscrye You can go if you want on inara.cz to see which part is available where, because the Viking cockpit ( inara.cz/starfield/ship-module/1423/ ) and the Nova NG-20 landing gear ( inara.cz/starfield/ship-module/1652/ ) are never available in New Atlantis :)
@@CaldenR that’s basically what I did. I have a bug where the Cydonia and Neon Shipwrights have walked off from their area off into the far distance. I also built an outpost with a landing pad and ship builder. I was able to do a majority of what I needed there. I’m about 95% complete with the C2 version. I just need more credits. Again, amazing build video!
@@devilscryeGood luck to finish the build then! Have fun!

@@RackBoy Ah si tu découvres je ne dis rien alors ! Mais si tu veux savoir plus en détails tu me contactes direct et je te raconterai.
First of all let me say that this, sir, is a masterpiece and I absolutely love it! However I have a question. I noticed that you had a max crew of 5 and all of a sudden it jumped to 8, what did you change to achieve that? Thanks in advance
Thanks a lot! Sometimes there’s some display bug of that number in the ship builder: you put crew stations but it refreshes the number only when you start adding components that require crew to be managed (engines, weapons, etc.). Don’t focus on that, if you think the number is not correct, save your ship and come back in the builder.
Holy shit is this insane! Thank you so much!
Can you make an Upgrade tutorial from C2 to Vanguard? This weapons looks so amazing ❤
Thanks! That's actually very easy you just have to remove the weapons and put 6x Vanguard Hellfire Autocannon + 6x Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector. 6 for each because they use 2 Max Power (so you can max 2 columns). Then if you want to upgrade other modules, feel free to!
And how is it possible to get these angles for the weapons? Sorry for my bad english!
Got it! Thanks!
@@FcryCola Check this out: ibb.co/PZjqgGn
Perfect! Thank you so much ❤
Supertop Xwing aliance music XD
I made a few modifications... First, I added Taiyo Braking Engines to the front of my Slayton Engines. Second, I used a Hopetech Armory because it has a mini-brig. And, I used a Deimos Bumper Set along the top row of habs. Now I'm trying to get that 3rd person flight camera mod working, so my nose isn't stuffed into the backside of my ship. 😜
Nice build! You have an issue with the camera mod I listed? I think it’s juste some distance values tweaking in a file?
Hell yar she look great
Awesome! Thanks for making this!!
By the way, is that "Amos Burton" a custom NPC that you can make; or is that your player character? I don't own Starfield yet but I was wondering if the game allows you to make a custom crew as I would love to have James Holden, Amos Burton, Naomi Nagata, and Alex Kamal. 😃
EDIT: Maybe also have Bobbie Draper onboard as my marine.
You can reproduce any head, and you have presets given by the game, in these presets you've got kinda Naomi and Amos. Game is cleary a love letter!
@@CaldenR Awesome, that's great to hear! I'm going to wait with purchasing Starfield until Bethesda has released all the DLCs and then get a complete edition. Won't have the time to play atm anyways as I'm loving Baldur's Gate 3 and also waiting on that Cyberpunk expansion that comes out in a few days. So my Starfield playtime will have to wait for now but it will be cool to fly around as James Holden with my crew in my very own Rocinante one day thanks to your build video!! Thanks!! 😃
@@DanakarEndeel I'm clearly missing something here. Who are all these people you're talking about? Is it from a movie?
@@CaldenR I've encountered also a NPC that looked very much like Naomi
@@DarkElfDiva They are characters from the tv-series "The Expanse". It's a sci-fi series consisting of 6 seasons and is available on Prime Video (or DVD/BD). The Rocinante is the name of the ship they fly around in.

@@nerdoutreachprogram5358Ahahah! Have good fun my friend!
Awesome build. Any chance you can do a video with the final build from scratch?
Thanks! The Vanguard build is actually the C2 with just another paint job, a stronger shield, less cargo, and 6x Vanguard Hellfire Autocannon + 6x Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojector instead of the normal weaponry set. This way for the Vanguard weaps: ibb.co/PZjqgGn
hehe, I recognized the music from just idling in Star wars X-wing Alliance.👍
Then you are one the best!
Every YT content creator should take this video as a blueprint on how to make a tutorial.
That may be a bit of an exaggeration (there's always room for improvement), but thanks for the thought! I really appreciate.
Yo great inclusion for the ashford quote
I'm happy someone liked it!
