Everything is great, but the biggest disappointment is the inability to sell all these products. Waiting 48 hours for the vendor to reset is a joke, exchanging these products for ammunition and weapons is a better investment. It's a pity we can't enter into business contracts with the largest shipyards in the game to supply these products. And so for each delivery, the credits are simply transferred to your account and you don't have to worry about anything.
The other problem is if u decide on giving up on selling them and just drop the stuff somewhere. Everytime you are close to that location, the game slows down considerably. Talking about like several thousand adaptive frames, several thosands of different types of resources etc...

Most annoying thing is that it takes so damn long to sell it as the vendors only have limited funds. You end up spending a very long time looking at the countdown timer to reset the vendor (credits), unless you use it to fund meds, boosters and ammo. Also the cargo transfer is a pain, as it will only allow you to take out the amount of cargo in the actual transfer container, so can only take out small portions, let it refill and take out again, and again…. Had a similar setup, but ended up deleting it all and made a new setup with greenhouses to produce AMP and other meds / boosters, as you can both use it yourself as well as sell it and it has the huge advantage of not taking up nearly as much storage space or weight compared to the Adaptive Frames. Yeah, the Transfer Container is just a pretty decoration considering that you can directly transfer to and from your ship's cargo when within 250 meters of the ship. Even if you're grossly overencumbered you can still fast travel once you sit in the pilot seat of your ship.
Bessel III-b has allí you need, actually. Plus it has no fauna so you don't need defenses, and its environment is far less hostile than Venus
The main decision is when to build everything. I have decided to do it in my first and only endless playthrough and never do a game plus after building everything, because all that hard work and time spent in a previous playthrough is all lost. The other option is just finish the game without building outposts and ships, just to get the extra content in game plus and then build those outposts and ships. Tough choice! 🤔
I did a full playthrough of all the major quest lines and all the side quests i could find and then moved onto ng+. Once you get there you can if you like take an abrieviated version of the main quest to speed through it to the next ng. Did that 9 times and am now in my forever home. Where i intend to do all of the quests over again, hopefully find some more extremely obscure ones, build up a series of company town like outposts feeding into a vytinium fuel rod manufactury and some other pretty little outposts. Oh, and of course hunt for god roll legendaries. All while waiting to see what bethesda and modders (once they get creation kit 2) have in store for us.
You can also fall somewhere in between, as I do. I wanna do ng+10 but still I need some resources to go along, so I just build small outpost without spending too much time on them to get some basic stuff and learn about this magnificent system LOL
I built some minimal ones to get resources and cash in the first game but kept them simple, then speed ran through the ng+ toil livel 10 to start my forever build game… its upsetting losing everything as i did a pretty thorough run through for my first game (5 days playtime) but its worth it, the ng+ powers once levelled up and other perks absolutely change the game
I like the way you used the mass effect tune at the beginning to let us gamers realise what an actual game like this should be like. Wow I miss mass effect 😮💨
Nice looking outpost. I have set up something similar but I like to actually do the "fabrication" myself because it gives me MONSTEROUS amounts of XP (especially with a well rested and food XP buff) by just making them at an industrial work bench and it doesn't actually take that long. I also have a bunch of other resources funneling into my base as well so that I can produce anything else I might need in a pinch. I really like your wall idea though, and I will be adding that into my base. It would be nice if they just added walls in a future update. Seems like an odd and obvious oversight. Do you often find you need helium for power? I find I am constantly trying to funnel helium everywhere to manage just the transportation and power requirements alone.
With your voice an accent I thought you were Camel at first. Thanks for the video. I still need to get into outpost and ship building. Been massing resources n credits grinding Vanguard quests
It's so good of you to keep playing starfield now that cyberpunk is out. It's hard to go back but I know I'll finish one day and your videos are so good.
Beautiful design. I visited this planet and spend an hour wandering the swamp lands and never found an area with this much water. I guess you were lucky. My outpost system must be bugged, because the transfer ports from my other locations bring absolutely nothing. The outpost system leaves much to be desired, but hopefully it will improve over time. FO4 had a much better settlement building system. Also, don't all NPCs have boost packs? So, those walls...
Cool idea for a bathroom is to drop a Hallway on one of the sides of the room without connecting it on the other side. It makes like a small room. Decorate with toilet pictures a plunger some TP and towels and voila a bathroom lol
would love stackable habs and altering stairs or have stairs separate so you can add stairs that adjust to the Topography also floor panelling and paving.
Love the explanation, real easy to follow - nice and clear. I've not started Outpost building but cant wait. I got a question though, In terms of selling product - you mention that you can load up from your ship - How is that done? Guessing you then have to visit stores to sell in the end, shame they havent implemented a launch pad for auto delivery to vendors.
Gorgeous! Here you are killing it and I can't even get my Cargo links to deliver mission items..Yall make it look so easy. Do you have a tutorial how to do this?🤞😁
It seems to me that this kind of outpost building would be more suitable to an EvE-like game where nearly everything is player built so there's reason to build more than just one easy item. Even X4 seemed to have a better economy to integrate into since prices of items fluctuated. An overly complicated way to make iron daggers really. I'm still going to try my hand at making a cool outpost though. :D
If you hit your rotate key on a storage container while it's snapped to another container, it'll rotate through all the possible snap positions for that block of containers... or more correctly, any build piece, if it snaps, you can rotate it to move it to all other possible snap locations so you can find the one you want to actually snap to.
Could you do a bare minimum version of this 😂? I just want an example of small extractor setup maybe limit (2) & (2) storage outpost connected to maybe one or at most two outposts..I am looking for a planet that has iron & aluminum , with alien husbandry & greenhouse capabilities 😂 But, just the bare minimum to make adaptive frames & to finish building up those two possibly three outposts with habs & decorations.. I don't need crazy 20000xp an hour or credit printing lol Great Video though thanks 🙏🏻
👍🏾Looks nice. I hope they increase the silly amount of money most vendors have. Waiting around to sell all the junk that accumulates when I transfer ships is annoying. I am just jettisoning stuff on landing pads now. Maybe the citizens will start complaining and someone will fix this.
Mate!! Thanks for your videos ive just started playing and im trying to get my head around building my base and figuring out how to keep both Sarah and Andreja alive lol
That is an awesome setup and overview, but the question is... How to sell all that? You would end up spending all your gaming time selling it, with no time for anything else. Is this exercise just because it is a fun part of the game to explore? And if you are in a pinch for money you always have a massive amount of stuff to sell? If only there were a cargo link equivalent for selling the products... Also, ATTACKS... Does your base ever get attacked? If yes, are the walls high enough to where the enemies can't boost pack over them?
If you are on PC and don't mind using mods, there's a great one for richer merchants. You can have them with 10x their normal starting amount. You still have to wait for resets some, but it's much easier to sell when they have 50k credits instead of 5k.
i experienced a problem with out post...I have a high powered computer and plenty of RAM...i found that the more I made resource gathering slowed down wait time and cargo links slowed down game play as in FPS...that is why i don't do cargo links...i can take the wait slow down, but FPS...not cool, Do you think this has to do with the real time effect on cargo ships ? is there a way to make this use my 128gigs of ram?
Now what we need is for Bethesda to make an alien walking over water and across any terrain, to test all the outpost builders in the galaxy. That I would like the challenge.
Pretty cool. I'll be nitpicking here, but, the cooking station should ALWAYS be in the kitchen(for esthetics), not in a craft area . Or is that just me? 😊 Great content! Have a great day
I'm trying to locate a similar area as your on Symra IV.... Is it swamp? I'm not seeing any ponds like you have....any help/info to locate the area similar to yours?
Great vid... Can you have more than one outpost on one planet, just wondering why you have several planets with AL outposts, and not just several outposts on the same planet.
Because not all planets have the needed resources. You put outposts on other planets so you can mine different resources and have them shipped to your main outpost.
If you have gabs in your wall just fill it in with refrigerators because refrigerators don’t click to one another that’s what I did I don’t know if it actually keeps anything out yet though
I just don't get what you're supposed to do with all of those adaptive frames. How can you sell them all? Why wouldn't you just make them on Bessel 3 b and get the XP too?
I'm curious about how you sell your fabricated items. Do you have to keep hopping around from place to place to sell and then sleep, sit or wait for 48 hours because the vendors run out of funds?
Great setup, I'd much rather sell adaptive frames that are made passively than loot every single corpse I come across for credits. Translates to more time adventuring and less time sorting inventory. I noticed in this outpost example, the intersystem cargo links didn't have helium connected to power it, is it only required on the outpost that's exporting resources?
helium is only required if you're exporting to another "system" as in another star. if you need to use grav drive to go to another outpost, then you need Helium to ship stuff to that outpost
You need to make most use of your outpost, we only have 8 and you are having an entire outpost extracting a single resources. I built mine with the same logic but extracting as many resources at once. Find where the resources overlap to build an outpost. I've 3x in a single planet collecting 8 resources like aluminum, iron, lead, beryllium, alkanes, ytterbium, helium, water. All from a single planet with all 3 outposts connected. A single outposts is extracting at least 3 resources.
Add perfect starships to outpost 😮. IRON STAR 7 UC. GoldStar family of ships. GoldStorm and GoldSpear or Gray Angel Unique Legendery Starfield only starships. Thx again man and have fun
The vacation planet where Sarah and I got married it was great, I forget what its called but Im not sure an outpost can go there but if it can Im doing it for the Memories SARAH I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU
They set it up to where the game doesnt actually start till close to the end, it was deliberate, you can tell by the skills, how much they cost ,how quick you get xp and how certain things are lvl/skill locked, so that second playthrough must be cool
the outpost system is pretty good but it needs a few things, external walls for one, but also it would be nice if there was a master cargo link or something that with multiple landing pads. Cool quest idea would be after ng+ if the ship companies start coming after you to try to steal your ships tech
yes, and being able to craft medpacks and stuff aswell, also another one i thought would be nice is ship presets so you can just buy it when you ng+ instead of building your ship over and over @@EdwinRucci
With a potentially planned space station construction element to future DLC I thought it would be cool if you could partner up with the ship companies to have them open show rooms on your station. That way you could get ALL ship parts together under one roof. No more hopping around for a Cabot Bridge, a Pinch 8z Reactor, etc. Basically it would be fun to make a Galactic Mall out of your station.
Love the outpost man! And for all the “what’s the point” people out there. It’s something people enjoy. So what’s it matter to you? Yes you have your own opinions about it but maybe only express it in the multiple hate videos of the game. So your negative ilk can just stew in the same place.
So what's your character build look like for this kinda setup? How many skill points did you spend on this and how long did it take to raise them to that level? Also, where are you getting the He-3 for your landing pads?
Okay - A couple of questions here. First, this is a beautiful Outpost, and elaborate system of resource and mining outposts feeding resources into it. Well done. How do you make a foundation under your Habs to raise them up? How do you make the raised foundation? I haven't seen any way to do it, and can't find any hotkey combo to do that? Second... Adaptive Frames?? Really?? Why adaptive frames? Why not something more valuable? They aren't worth hardly anything, and you have to sell huge amounts of them to make any serious cash. So, why not make something more valuable??
When you put down Outpost Airlock you can rise it to some extend, I know that when you press 'E' to accept placement you can use 'W' button to rise or 'S' to lower it if I'm not mistaken. I don't know button equivalent for a controller. Also I think he is making adaptive frames because there is a lot of iron and aluminum in this system and this is just only one outpost. You can make something different. I would do the same not for profit because regardles of what kind of material you would be producing you can't actualy sell it in larger quantietes other than waiting 48 hours to restock vendors credits (what I find a little stupid and time consuming) but I think it's a good way to exchange frames for anything of value from that store, like ammo or better guns so you never spend your actual money.
Oh man I did not know that inner system links required no fuel. Now I feel stupid hopping from outpost to outpost (most in one system). With single link from my copper outpost to my Beryllium and Aluminum (and Helium 3) outpost, I only have to go to one outpost to craft enough Tao whatever (which sells for three times the amount adaptive frames do) to clear out two cities worth of related vendors.
Needs a dedicated transport to a warehouse for each of the big box hardware stores where they cut you a check. Selling these at 11k per day is annoying, but necessary to build cash for ship building. They need a follower whose job it is to sell this stuff. They could implement this for high level characters that have built at least several outposts with nuclear plants to avoid the get rich quick schemes and reward the industrialist. I have a simple AMP production and it takes me forever to sell these at 11k per wait period.
Starfield devs literally left out the little things that would've made the game so much better. Outpost walls, foundations, and the fact you can't fly your ship in and around planet atmospheres. They got it right with Fallout 4 as far as build mode goes. Why they dumbed it down doesn't make sense.
i found this planet a few weeks ago it awesome for an outpost but the fauna will spawn into your habs and under the structure you build which is very annoying after awhile.
It's a nice build, but it's just a convoluted money machine that makes way more of anything than you're ever going to need. Just pick a spot with 3 or 4 resources, 1 miner for for each and then have plenty of storage. Set up 4 planets sending everything to your main base and you're set to build anything you want anywhere you want. You can then do actual mining contracts as well. There's no need for dozens of extracters. I do like the walls you built. It's pretty silly that applicable stuff from the FO4 building system isn't in here.
Thank you for another epic post. That outpost is savage. Hopefully they'll add an online option to have other players/friends for bounty hunter squads, general game play, etc. I feel that element would be a huge step in a direction games with similar potential haven't quite hit yet. Fallout 76 had the right elements, but lacked the space/star wars elements.
i've landed on the planet about a dozen times and haven't got any lakes. plenty of coast lines though Edit: I did finally find a sweet spot but it took a while.
The system for daisy chaining resources is awful. It's fine for doing one type like that, but I attempted to build an outpost that produced all the components, and eventually gave up. It gets incredibly complex once you have multiple outpost linking into each other, spreadsheet required. The inorganic resources are the easy part as well, when you get into the organic resources it's a whole other level. Just need outposts to be able to share all resources with all outposts via those links.
I highly doubt console players make huge income in this game. They did everything they could to prevent it by giving merchants pocket change to buy it from you. It's the same way in cyberpunk.
Everything is great, but the biggest disappointment is the inability to sell all these products.
This is where I'm stuck.. Built a couple outposts in previous NG+ and now I'm thinking I should just beeline for NG+10 and be done with it
You can also fall somewhere in between, as I do.
You're a good man.
Any chance you can make a short on which Biome of the swamp land did you land? I can’t find the wet spots for the life of me.
With your voice an accent I thought you were Camel at first. Thanks for the video. I still need to get into outpost and ship building. Been massing resources n credits grinding Vanguard quests
Haha we actually sound very different in person but I can see the similarities on videos
I've been waiting for this video 🙌🎉
Hope you enjoyed it!
That's a pretty impressive outpost. I wish I could understand how all this this works. It just confuses the hell out of me.
Me too. I’m struggling
ITs NOT THAT BAD A LITTLE MORE INDEPTH THEN SHIPBUILDING
Cool idea for a bathroom is to drop a Hallway on one of the sides of the room without connecting it on the other side. It makes like a small room. Decorate with toilet pictures a plunger some TP and towels and voila a bathroom lol
would love stackable habs and altering stairs or have stairs separate so you can add stairs that adjust to the Topography also floor panelling and paving.
Coming to the atomic shop next month....wait wrong game.
This is so cool! I am going to start making one like this for my character. So cool.
Gorgeous! Here you are killing it and I can't even get my Cargo links to deliver mission items..Yall make it look so easy. Do you have a tutorial how to do this?🤞😁
Took this exact concept and added inflow of 4 other resources led copper and 2 others won’t need to leave ever
Wow that's fantastic I'm just starting my first five outpost and it's driving me crazy lol😂😅
Laugh tale! Tgat deserves a sub!
Hi great tutorial.. please those ships coming and going, are they all yours, of are they just random?
Mate!! Thanks for your videos ive just started playing and im trying to get my head around building my base and figuring out how to keep both Sarah and Andreja alive lol
How do you slowly rotate items in the build mode like you did?
Can you show on planet about where your at? Been looking for something similar on that planet with the small water spots
good call on the mass effect soundtrack for the intro
How can you scan the planet or moon surfaces like craters or mountains from your ship.
I also would not stack storage containers because you can never reach to get product out of the stacked boxes... Unless there is some trick to it?
Now what we need is for Bethesda to make an alien walking over water and across any terrain, to test all the outpost builders in the galaxy. That I would like the challenge.
Love this base, so cool.
Pretty cool. I'll be nitpicking here, but, the cooking station should ALWAYS be in the kitchen(for esthetics), not in a craft area . Or is that just me? 😊 Great content! Have a great day
In crafting area makes it easier, in kitchen fits aesthetically better.
I'm trying to locate a similar area as your on Symra IV.... Is it swamp? I'm not seeing any ponds like you have....any help/info to locate the area similar to yours?
Swamp, yes. Just got to look around!
I found a spot! Thanks!@@Dantics
Do you have to sell the frames yourself or is there a way to automate the sales
Because that makes too much sense lol.
I might be dumb for asking this but where do i sell those adaptive frames?? Like i see people constantly farming them but where do i sell them??
I'm curious about how you sell your fabricated items. Do you have to keep hopping around from place to place to sell and then sleep, sit or wait for 48 hours because the vendors run out of funds?
Do you have to sell all of it manually? Im probably gonna start building outposts this weekend.
Thanks, the nice video helps out a lot. It can be confusing if you're a new player.
4:22 desk pop
Everyone’s doing it
You need to make most use of your outpost, we only have 8 and you are having an entire outpost extracting a single resources.
If I heard correctly, you are making frames you can sell, but you are not getting the experience for making them?
Shooting up your kitchen, bro!
Guard might get nervous, a man approaches with his weapon drawn.
Love the base name!
The vacation planet where Sarah and I got married it was great, I forget what its called but Im not sure an outpost can go there but if it can Im doing it for the Memories SARAH I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU
Is it difficult to protect all these outposts.
I wish outpost managers like Lin and Heller can just take care of the selling of resources for profit
They set it up to where the game doesnt actually start till close to the end, it was deliberate, you can tell by the skills, how much they cost ,how quick you get xp and how certain things are lvl/skill locked, so that second playthrough must be cool
Waiting for vendor resets is an issue for me. Every time i wait when its over and i go to get up the game locks up.
the outpost system is pretty good but it needs a few things, external walls for one, but also it would be nice if there was a master cargo link or something that with multiple landing pads. Cool quest idea would be after ng+ if the ship companies start coming after you to try to steal your ships tech
...and an ammo crafting table!
yes, and being able to craft medpacks and stuff aswell, also another one i thought would be nice is ship presets so you can just buy it when you ng+ instead of building your ship over and over
@@EdwinRucci
With a potentially planned space station construction element to future DLC I thought it would be cool if you could partner up with the ship companies to have them open show rooms on your station. That way you could get ALL ship parts together under one roof. No more hopping around for a Cabot Bridge, a Pinch 8z Reactor, etc. Basically it would be fun to make a Galactic Mall out of your station.
that would be amazing in they did something like that@@XoRandomGuyoX
Love the outpost man!
And for all the “what’s the point” people out there. It’s something people enjoy. So what’s it matter to you? Yes you have your own opinions about it but maybe only express it in the multiple hate videos of the game. So your negative ilk can just stew in the same place.
So what's your character build look like for this kinda setup? How many skill points did you spend on this and how long did it take to raise them to that level? Also, where are you getting the He-3 for your landing pads?
That's my question... How do you supply HE3 to the inter-system links?
all his resources are coming from outposts in the same system so he doesn’t need He3
Okay - A couple of questions here.
At least on the xbox when I start building walls of storage container eventually outpost becomes unstable and opening the scanner crashes the game
A dozen of skill point, 1000s of resources to build... adaptive frames.
Can you show us the footage of you actually building it because I can't believe you built something that big in an outpost space!
HOW are you stacking habs?
Starfield devs literally left out the little things that would've made the game so much better. Outpost walls, foundations, and the fact you can't fly your ship in and around planet atmospheres. They got it right with Fallout 4 as far as build mode goes. Why they dumbed it down doesn't make sense.
Starfield is light years behind Fallout 4’s settlement building system.
Let's be honest, as much as we would all love for them to make their outposts system better it's more than likely gonna be moders that do it
1:34 who's flying the ship?
i found this planet a few weeks ago it awesome for an outpost but the fauna will spawn into your habs and under the structure you build which is very annoying after awhile.
Would love to see how you are selling the materials.
Is there any glitches found yet so we can ignore the build limit and build endless
Thank you for another epic post. That outpost is savage. Hopefully they'll add an online option to have other players/friends for bounty hunter squads, general game play, etc. I feel that element would be a huge step in a direction games with similar potential haven't quite hit yet. Fallout 76 had the right elements, but lacked the space/star wars elements.
lol building walls out of storage crates is the personification of Starfaild.
I got lost in daisy chain 2. Why are there 2 interlink systems here. I think I need a diagram lol
he's just doubling up the input amount going to the final spot.
how u spelling that planet system
Where abouts did you land on the planet?
i've landed on the planet about a dozen times and haven't got any lakes. plenty of coast lines though
Edit: I did finally find a sweet spot but it took a while.
@@SBHinkdid you find the wet spots on the coastline swamp?
@@Karazy i think it was small water circle inland
One thing I wondered when I had a lot of creds in starfield... what do you even buy
just do the indy yourself and make the exp and money, plus u can do another more expensive indy appart with all the other planets
Not sure if my game is bugged but i find 0 water on that plant
i had one of these but it bugged somehow and when i travel there it crashes the game :( SO MANY BUGS rn
Negligent discharge @4:22 😅
