I’m still in love with this vacuum cleaner after 1 month of use! Easy to use, great suction, very easy on my back. This is a quality piece of equipment-something that is rare in today’s world. So glad someone said I should look into Miele vacuums.

I also came here for that and someone posted on a blog to take a small flathead screwdriver and lift the button very gently at the bristle end to release it. I hope this helps.

I have the Blizzard, and I LOVE it. It really sucks, is quiet, not too, too heavy, and I so appreciate not having to put vac bags on my shopping list, and driving across town to pick them up. I called my friend to tell her when they went on sale. She said, "Thanks, but I still love my ol' Miela" (20 years old, it is!).

The store I bought mine from didn't mention the fine dust filter, that I can recall, so I'm glad I happened to watch this three years down the track. I've tried two expensive vacuum cleaners previous to the Miele and this has been the best, by far.

I not only find the vacuum to be excellent design, but this is one of the best demonstration films I have seen in a LONG time.
It is VERY quiet compared to other machines and has incredible suction. You will need to turn DOWN the suction at times. The first time you become ADHERED to a rug or the floor you will realize that full power is pretty incredible on this machine.
This machine is fairly unavailable in Portugal. I had to ship it in and am not sorry I spent the money. So far it has been durable, but I am not a heavy user. I hope my product durability continues.
Comment: As to stairs... ANY CANISTER OR STICK machine is going to have to be lugged up and down while using. Why would a video demonstrating the physically obvious be necessary?

For such an expensive vacuum cleaner, it needs better attachments for dusting. I still haven't found an alternative for dyson's dusting tools but I hate that they've gone cordless.

    • @DogHairDontCare
      @DogHairDontCare 2 года назад +1

@@Waterislifer do you have carpets? If so, then the c3 cat and dog + some aftermarket attachment heads. Expensive vacuum for sure but that head makes a huge difference. I bought one for my mom's house where I use the non electric driven hose for my house. Air driven turbo brushes just don't compare to power brushes. Bagged vacuums are the best for pet hair because it's like a trash compactor and condenses the fur. Bagless are not good for pet owners in my experience.

Hi! I just have one issue- I simply cannot get the dusting brush to telescope to the using position. She clicks it down so easily in this video- Mine seems to be glued in the upper position lol and my husband and I have really tried everything... I was hoping I would see a trick or a button that I wasn't pushing that would solve this mystery, but alas, the woman in the video effortlessly and magically clicked it into place...Please help!

Worst vaccum cleaner I have ever had especially the attachments. No problem with the suction of floor head, but for dusting, vaccum lounge, no tools! I had a Dyson for 12 years until motor ceased, attachments so great. Thinking of selling this frustrating machine!

In case anyone is wondering; you gotta press the little half circle part down. Tricks is; do NOT press hard! I came to the video same as you guys and then said screw it I'll figure it out.
I used to bare down on that bit like my life depended in it.
We talking a gentle press, and either pull out or pull back.

Patience and persistence? Introduce yourself to these concepts in life and you will grow as a person. You press on both sides of the brush and on the front tab of the brush to adjust it. I wondered too but found the solution after watching this video and gently trying trial and error.

Jessica- I have the same issue. It's stuck at the top of the hose, and if I magically get it to the bottom position, it gets stuck at the there as well. And it's not user fault- I have brought it to the dealer and they can't figure out why this is happening, either.

The On'Off button and cord rewind buttons are poorly designed and/or poorly placed and should be changed or moved elsewhere on the unit. While vacuuming, and as the hose moves here and there over the unit itself, the hose will often HIT the top of the On/Off button or else the Cord Rewind button. So often, while I'm in the middle of vacuuming, the unit will turn Off or else the cord will start to Rewind. Not good.
The problem is not just the placement of the buttons, but the fact that they PROTRUDE out. If these buttons were more FLUSH with the unit...if the buttons were more FLAT vs protruding, this would be less of an issue.

SEB 217-3 power head stopped working after one year despite regular cleaning out of debris. I can't figure out what is wrong, all looks intact.
Guess what Miele -- if you're going to build in obsolescence there's no point in me forking out hundreds for something that will fail despite being careful with it (because I don't have money to burn I am actually careful with my things). I will not buy you again. I shouldn't have to find an expensive repair place after slightly over one year of careful use. It was bad enough paying $5 a pop for you tiny vacuum bags but I thought if the vacuum did a good job I would pay.
    I learned my lesson!!
I guess I will go back to buying cheap vacuums because I don't want to feel like a sucker buying a new power head after 1 year.
And this will be deleted in 3...2....1....
