Noel is such an underrated guitarist he’s up there with the best and this gig proves it
I wouldn't say he is underrated at all. Think most people know he is one of the greatest guitarist
As a guitarist his guitar work is pretty simple he is however a genius songwriter.
No, just no. Hes a very good guitarist. An amazing songwriter. But he is no where near the greats. From a massive Oasis fan.
@@dene39 He IS among the greats - if not better. Just cis he's not a metal-head soloist doesn't make him any less... In fact, probs make him better!
@@dene39 totally agree he knows five chords he admits he's not great he's made five chords sound cool but far from underrated. Again from a massive oasis fan.
You lads are going to love Headshrinker. Pure punk rock.
For me, this the best live performance of this song due to the fast-paced ending. It wasn't normally played like this.
Guys, this made me so happy to watch. When I saw Liam sit down I knew exactly what was around the corner. Was in bits when Spencer collapsed at the climax haha. Go on Noel. What a song writer.
Every Oasis fan will agree that all their material in the 90's sounded better live!
I love their first few albums and have been a purist for years... but as I listen, I'm more appreciative!
Its never a bad day if you listen to Champagne Supernova
This was right at the end of the tour so if you think Liam sounds a bit croaky or whatever that is the reason! Noel's guitar work is incredible!
Oasis- supersonic live at Earl’s Court ‘95.such a great version.after 3.00 it shows how great his voice is
Great reaction guys. Try Gas Panic Rock in Rio live 2001. Best live version and nice neat solo from Noel in there. That was the gig headlined by Guns N Roses, Oasis were on just before. Classic gig
Oasis - slide away glastonbury 1995 live...prime liam
Check it out 👍
Swamp song and aquiesce Maine road 1996 1st or 2nd night both are amazing
Oasis are by far and away the best band in the world ever, never see the likes of them again.
100%
The last great rock and roll band
word!
I still remember waiting for this album, my mom driving me to the record shop on the release day, buying the CD, running into my room and just following along in the lyrics and the feeling and excitement of how much I LOVED LOVED LOVED this.
Oasis always were a live band first and foremost. Great to see you enjoying this performance.
94/95 oasis where on fire 🔥 Absolutely incredible, every live performance had something new, Liam sounded incredibly powerful, yet could still do falsetto and Noel was a tunesmith
Greatest band that ever lived
The sad thing after you discover oasis is that there's no band like oasis
So you ended up listening forever
There's no substitute....
It's the most typical extraordinary band if you know what i mena
omg exactly this
Spot on, John. I was born in 70’ so grew up w great bands from the 60’s-90’s but Oasis is my fav. It’s the way their songs make me feel. They energize and inspire me. I just love Noel’s writing and he’s pretty great on that outro w that guitar.
@@jasonq111 excatly noel somehow suceeded in injecting cocaine in to his songs it's like listening cocaine LOL
@@john_air he said he wrote those first two albums high. On Be Here Now he freaked a little cuz the process changed. He was having to scramble. I think he wrote, BHN, on vacay in Mustique w Jagger and Kate Moss. I think he had rough cuts and added finishing touches.
@@TSOTL-0302 kinda same here
but i like their 2nd album too
and their fouth suck it and see
give suck it and see a try
it's a hideen gem
Love is the law. The seahorses. Blows minds
I love that Daniel said that Americans don’t deserve Oasis, but you do because you’re awesome.
And he's playing an epiphone (not a gibson). So good. He always talks his own guitar playing down. He's awesome.
For Noel going off, try Swamp Song from Maine Rd. It's miles better than the Earl's Court version.
It's the start of the gig, an instrumental song, Liam swaggers on halfway through to "last-minute winner" type of cheers, then, after he says something to the crowd, the song literally detonates.
It's bonkers.
And to this day no-one knows what Liam said, not even him, lol.
watch the opening of maine road every other morning lol
This version does not even come close to Champagne Supernova at Earls Court 1995, their best performance of that song. Also Supersonic from Earls Court 1995, they will blow you away.
Supersonic, champagne supernova, I am the walrus. All from earls court 95 is fucking biblical
I disagree, I was brought up on there and then Champagne Supernova at earls Court. But I came across this version 5 years ago and seen Noel at his best. To be fair the cocaine injuced Be Here Now tour had a lot to do with it 😂
@@seanoriordan noel and the guitars here are the best I've heard but Liam's voice is better in 95
@@masonmennell8514 I agree, it's a hard trade 😂 but to be fair Liams voice ain't that bad at Budokan either. I just prefer the overall sound at this gig, whole band on form and the extended solo makes it better for me.
Jumping on this, everything on Champagne Supernova sounds better at Earls Court.
I saw oasis at Wembley stadium for their last official gig. The ticket was £50 give
Or take, Looking back it’s now priceless.
As an Easter egg. If anyone knows the film snatch. When Brad Pitt gets KO the song is oasis “ fuc*ing in the bushes” enjoy. Not many people know that song.
love the reactions always found it weird america after the 90s only really knew 2 songs, when the rest of the world they love loads of oasis tracks. oasis back catalogue is full of bangers.
Holy crap that blew my mind.
13:50 that solo just sends me into the stratosphere of pure rock and roll. The riff and presence on stage are unreal!

Trtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrtrrrtrtrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Cheers for following my suggestion! Nice one!
You should step to a 10years later version of Champagne Supernova live at black island studios 2008 (the gig was called standing on the edge of the noise). Anyway, it's great to see people discovering oasis for real! You're in for a real treat with the Budokan version! Best live version of the best song ever I guess...! Mad fer it !!
That's why they called them the Sex Beatles!
I spent my formative teenage years during the height of BritPop. Oasis, Blur, Pulp etc. What a time to be alive. The UK music scene was unreal in the 90's.
Amazing solo
Lads check out Morning Glory from Riverplate stadium 2009
1 of the best Oasis crowds.
Best version of champagne supernova during this tour noel was fuckin on it and the band was tight man , incredible!!!
Thank you for this! Noel Gallagher is a much underrated Singer/Song Writer/Guitarist
Fun fact: The album version of this song on Whats the story morning glory - The guitar solo was done by Paul Weller. Noel said in an interview he knows he isn't the greatest guitarist, so he got Weller in to make it better.
There’s actually two separate solos which play over each other, one’s Weller’s and the other is Noel’s. Such a great solo all together!
Noels was on the album
Guys you need to checkout the Oasis song called HeadShrinker
You two ‘yanks’ deserve oasis!! You guys are legends. Much love from Oxford, England, Great Britain, United Kingdom 🐂 🏴 🇬🇧 you know the score
You really really really need to check out the verve. And when you watch them live... you’ll understand why they toured with oasis! Fantastic British rock and roll from the ‘90s!
There’s a demo version out there with the 2 different guitar solos, Paul Weller’s and Noel’s, that is truly magical
Haha low key if I was a bloke I'd be pitching a tent over that solo. Phenomenal just doesn't cut it. Mind blown. Great reaction boys!
Those dudes would just f'in stand there and somehow make it the most exciting live show ever
Wow what a performance 👌
i bloody love Daniel's Face...proper sound r'kid
Interesting that you say they sound better live because when they recorded Definitely Maybe they initially struggled to replicate the raw energy of their live performances in the studio.
I totally agree with you. Oasis's sound was better in the live versions of the songs. As another person mentioned in the comments, Fade in out (maybe in Gmex 97 or from New York Hammerstein Ballroom show from the same era) is a good option for reaction. I would also suggest the live version of "Born on a different cloud" in Japan 2002. It's in the same album as Stop crying your heart out. The song is really underrated and the solo in the 2002 video is awesome with the guitar almost "crying" . Alan White, the drummer, should be mentioned, as well. He is very talented and his role in the sound of Oasis in the era 1997-2002 is significant. Your comments are great.
You guys should watch the Supersonic documentary, one of the points they make is that their sound is so iconic live that it was so difficult to actually do recordings that would live up to their live sound
FUCK ME OASIS IN THEIR PRIME WERE FUCKING AMAZING. So jealous I never saw them
Cigarettes and Alcohol from the Wembley 2000 gig or the Barrowlands gig if you can find it, lovely surprise at the end
Cigs n alcohol gets blocked almost 100% of the time
@@masonmennell8514 yeah I know but just for their own enjoyment it’s worth a watch 🙌🏻
@@scottcoles6873 definitely one of the best versions too
yeoup. their live versions are so hard and awesome.
Travis with Noel Gallagher All I wanna i do is rock,Oasis and The Jam Carnation whit Liam voice
I got to see Travis open for Oasis back in ‘00. It was great
It was rather frustrating growing up loving them in America, it seemed nobody understood the biblicalness of it all.
Wow !!
When you say “that was a 10/10 solo” and I’m like, you ain’t seen nothin yet mate ❤
I'm the biggest Gallagher fan ever I know every bit of music they ever do
Wow! Ihave never heard nor seen this video or song done like this before! And omg. What a fucking trip man!× Excellent fucking groove laden punk post apocalyptic trippy- acid- dropping- rock- gods on Coke greatness in heaven song! Fantastic guys and thanks for showing this so now I can sleep well tonoght after being heavily rocked out😅😊
This version is amazing and if I remember well, Liam had a throat problem and Noel introduced more instrumental parts in some songs. 98 was the start of Liam problems singing.
The Budokan... The stage where Oasis' hero's The Beatles played a rock concert for the first time 32 years earlier in 1966. Fun Beatle fact... At the time, the Budokan was considered a sacred site to some traditionalists. So much so that The Beatles received death threats. MY how times have changed. Loving the channel by the way.
Noel at the height of his lead guitar-playing!
You need to watch oasis on mtv unplugged its just noel playing guitar and singing whilst Liam sits in the crowd. It's awesome
Please react to
Fade In Out - Gmex 97
All Around The World - Gmex 97
Cigarettes & Alcohol - Wembley 2000
Aquiesce - Wembley 2000
I’d like to suggest “A bell will ring” at Manchester in 2005. It’s a somewhat short rocker written by Gem Archer.
Would love to see some oasis acoustic tracks like talk tonight and married with children
Queens of the stone age are the tightest rock and roll band out there by fuckin miles.....for a long long time, I'm from England and seen them 5 times
You guys should react to The Swamp Song live at Maine Road 96 (1st night). It will blow your mind.
Everyone deserves oasis!!!
Noel’s guitar playing 97/98 was on another level. Cocaine is a helluva drug!
cast no shadow/my big mouth live in knebworth 1st night .. trust me
What a solo, not bad for a council estate lad from Manchester
Weller also made a contribution to a few oasis tracks
You guys should check out Noel performing Live Forever on The Late Late Show. It is the best version you will ever hear of the greatest song ever written
Would love to see you guys react to Queen’s set at live aid 1985
One of my favorit songs came out of their first amarican tours..it was going bad and the band was tired firght and. "partying" so Noel gave up went as far as he could... some randome girl took him in for like a week.. no one know where he was... he rested abd cleared his mind...so when back to the band... thanks to this unknow women (he dosent reme er exatly where he was kr his name....(or razy party bindg??) Thanks to these 4 days we got Noel to complet the tour.. allow us and Canada 🇨🇦 to know who they are.. if that noe enough...we get Talk tonight... most of us' i try to Noels amasing voice!!!... if u haven't done talk tonight...its so full or real raw emetionss!!!
Liam Liam Liam!!!!
Also In liams defence he sang many to the level Lennon sang twist and shout or money, who I think said fried his voice singing the one tune a night.
At this point oasis were the biggest band on the planet , in tour sales and record sales and best live band on the planet !!!
Yeeessss haha as requested.
Freebird vibes at the end
Check out the libertines. Brilliant band from my childhood. You might have heard of Pete Doherty from the band.
Fucking shite compared to oasis
@@bigsmoke8571 Who was comparing them to Oasis? Do you randomly chime in with that when anyone mentions another band?
Pete is inferior to both gallaghers and so is his music
I saw oasis live but was to pissed to remember a single thing
Cum on feel the noize Maine Road 2nd night is a classic show of energy. Stand by me acoustic by the pool is also amazingly chill
You guys should watch wonderwall - Rio 2001, it’s the best wonderwall out there
love the FREEBIRD moment comment ❤️
I remember they where Ill in this that’s why Liam has a frog in his throat
Shock of the Lightning
Noel hates be here now but the live tour was their most successful and Noel’s soloing was epic and made him up there with Hendrix and slash
OK, if you want to get things right, listen to Gas Panic! album version first, then go for the live version at Rock in Rio in 2001. I'd say that if there is another live performance on the same level as CS at Budokan, this is the one! Mad fer it !!
Champagne Supernova at Earls Court 1995 and at Wembley 2000 are so much better vocally! They are insane.
😂 trust me, you don't want a glass of dirty champagne
Also love Pearl Jam who I've seen 4 times in UK......oasis once at the etihad.
In a lot of people's opinion and noel himself, says he ain't the best guitar player ever , and he isn't but at thus point in 97 , 98 he really showed his guitar skills and went for it , maybe he got more confident as they got to become biggest band on planet but also the cocaine probably helped him come out his shell, but noel was fuckin great during this tour !!!!
oasis - morning glory david letterman show
Please do morning glory live at germany
Apropos of nothing here, guys, but I'd love you to react to Rory Gallagher's Out on the Western Plain (Lead Belly). It's old school, let's say, but Spencer could sing it.
Oasis are the true Great Britain band
Gem allowed for Noel's tunes to be played as Noel had created, particularly on songs like this (Champagne Supernova), The Masterplan, Morning Glory, etc, etc... So why is that I prefer the classic, 'Bonehead, Guigsy, & Whitey' lineup so much more??!!
Lads if you love oasis cigarette and alcohol will blow your mind.
The last great band of the punks the pride of Manchester England planet earth simply epic
Columbia also a great song live.
Fun fact aswell, noel is left handed but couldn't afford a left handed guitar at the time so learned to play right handed.
nah, boys. They didn't miss anything. They sure added, though😉
noel gallagher says he’s a below average guitar player
Champagne Supernova live at Cardiff 1996, the best Champagne Supernova performance, ever. This one may have a long guitar solo, but all the '98 shows did, and Noel was just compensating for Liam who sounded like a fucking frog this night. First and second night are much better, good video though guys.
React to oasis in mtv vma 1996
