This feels like the perfect song for a villain plotting. Imagine, the villain pushes open a set of large doors as the song begins, just echoing emptiness, then begins to walk slowly forward, hands behind their back. As they walk, ripples form below them, water? platforms? who can say, but they continue to walk as the song slowly picks up. Colors begin to form around them as they walk through the emptiness, just darkness all around them, the doors from before completely gone. Then, as the first beat drops, the room starts to take shape, all around them is a lair, color like a nebula within open space, the villain walking upon nothing but the ripples of some unforeseen ground, orbs and bubbles float around them. The past, records of previous battles, information, knowledge about the villain's foes, all glimmer within, and still the villain walks on, placing their hand against one, grabbing it as they pass. As the song fades away, they leave the lair and bubbles behind, continuing slowly back into darkness, fading away into the nothing from whence they came. Ready to plunge the world into the same darkness they exist within.
There's a lot of stuff! there's Ambientmusicguide, free music archive (oddly enough) Coldnoise has good ambient music on soundcloud too! And if in doubt, search ambient music on youtube. :)
It feels compressed. And it should be, because you are in a cramped mine,
This feels like its a track from LSD: dream emulator.
+Mogami Keiji It kind of reminds me of both the Pantune Music mix of Proffessional Problem and the Morgan Giest mix of TV river.
I'd disagree. Osamu Sato has a bit more... Dissonance, whereas this has far too much structure.
this sure is a soft breeze
yes,yes it is
I almost never hear past 0:40 because Pepper Steak always ends up cutting in before that part.
sadness, dark, experimental, statics and bass, reality analogy, death (off) is the true peace but bring peace while alive too, do not be a destroyer

I love it when people let their imagination blossom like you have right here, it was an enjoyable read!
I think this song is Awesome!
admit it, some of the off ost could qualify as minecraft music
Some of it totally can. The ending of Desperately Safe in particular stands out to me :)

It's called ambience. Hope this helped!
nocturneproductions Thank you very much!
Do you have an example where I can get this from?

Specifically, I think it's sampled from the angelic "Ah's" and "Ooo's" that are used in most of the soundtrack, but extremely slowed down.

Was this the mall music from Zone 2, or whatever it was? I think it was this one anyway...
