What they should do is have Punk show up at Clash at the Castle and instead of screwing him like everyone thinks, he instead helps Drew win the title. So you get both a happy ending in Scotland and it drives Drew more into insanity and obsession over Punk setting up the title match at Summerslam
okay, but Drew losing and then winning the MITB to win his belt would be great. He would be great with that. Also, after shitting on Damian for winning the belt with a cash-in it would be a great character beat
Simple booking:
There is DEF more going on with the Liv + Judgment Day story. Hear me out. Dominik is actually innocent. It's Finn and Liv that are plotting against Damian and Rhea.(JD goes where Finn does and Carlito just wants a home) Remember Finn was the one that kicked Edge out and became the leader. He was the one fighting Edge, facing Seth for the title and so on. Then as Rheas popularity rose she became the de facto leader then she gets injured and Priest takes charge seeing as he is the WHC and he and Rhea always had a sort of tug of war for the head position. When Liv says she wants to take everything from Rhea including Dom that doesn't mean she wants to be with Dom but just to break them up. Its actually Finn and Liv who are together. (in kayfabe I know Finn is married) Dom really didn't know where the keycard came from cuz Liv put it on him when she fell on him at ringside. How did she get it back when she left it with Dom backstage? From Finn. Then Finn pockets it when no-one else if looking so they can presumably meet up later on. Finn wants the two threats to his top spot gone and Liv wants revenge. Now Judgment day is actually what brought me back to wrestling so I may be more invested that most lol but still I think that's where it's all heading
If they did the I quit voice over for Cody it would also make sense because they can just say the Rock told AJ to do it

So glad WWE didn’t “go with simple”. This isn’t the pg era anymore. Most fans are adults with brains who can handle complex storytelling. There will be outrage on some episodes of your favorite television. But fans stick around until the end of the arc to before completing sabotaging the creators per se.
Punk screws drew at clash. Drew wins mitb. Loses to punk at ss and cash in on Damian to win world title this protects Gunther from losing too
I'm really curious how they are going to do this. I just don't see Drew losing at Clash in Scotland. What they could do is have Punk, "help" Drew win so he can taunt Drew that he is the only champion because he allowed it to happen. This could set up Drew vs Gunther where Punk either cost Drew again, or Gunther just wins clean. Of course, Punk could also cost Drew yet again at Clash, setting up Punk/Drew and Priest/Gunther at Summer Slam. My only concern is I see Otis having a big impact on if Chad Gable wins or not. I just don't know if having 2 possible title changes happen by interference in the same match is the way to go.
Agree Simon, when New Day was the WWE tag team champions it was good, next you have the Usos and the Bloodline and eventually KO and Sami Zayn but now it feels flat and unimportant fading into the background so I want The New Day the get the Gold and then have something with The New Testament 😂
I can see a scenario where Punk helps Drew, that opens the door for Punk to use it against him "you only won because of me" element

I think Drew should win clash and have Sheamus to win money in the bank. That way at summerslam there could be a triple threat rematch between Sheamus, Drew, and Gunther from their wrestlemania 39 bout with a completely new story.

Whoever goes up to meet Gunther is getting SPANKED. So Damian Wins at clash. Gunther beats Damian at SS.
Ultimately, the Punk and Drew feud doesn’t need the championship. This is a true blood feud and the only true form of satisfaction for either of them is making the other suffer, so I am a fan of Punk costing Drew at Clash, and setting up possibly a no holds barred or Hell in a Cell match where they can attempt to m**drer each other for Summerslam
