- Judgement Day turn on Damian for failing to retain
- Damian and Ripley become a 2-person crew that goes after Judgement Day + Liv Morgan
- Drew trolls CM Punk some more
- Drew faces Gunther at SS
- CM Punk screws over Drew, Gunther finally wins the big one
- CM Punk vs Drew can now start properly with both men healthy and ready to go

There is DEF more going on with the Liv + Judgment Day story. Hear me out. Dominik is actually innocent. It's Finn and Liv that are plotting against Damian and Rhea.(JD goes where Finn does and Carlito just wants a home) Remember Finn was the one that kicked Edge out and became the leader. He was the one fighting Edge, facing Seth for the title and so on. Then as Rheas popularity rose she became the de facto leader then she gets injured and Priest takes charge seeing as he is the WHC and he and Rhea always had a sort of tug of war for the head position. When Liv says she wants to take everything from Rhea including Dom that doesn't mean she wants to be with Dom but just to break them up. Its actually Finn and Liv who are together. (in kayfabe I know Finn is married) Dom really didn't know where the keycard came from cuz Liv put it on him when she fell on him at ringside. How did she get it back when she left it with Dom backstage? From Finn. Then Finn pockets it when no-one else if looking so they can presumably meet up later on. Finn wants the two threats to his top spot gone and Liv wants revenge. Now Judgment day is actually what brought me back to wrestling so I may be more invested that most lol but still I think that's where it's all heading
If they did the I quit voice over for Cody it would also make sense because they can just say the Rock told AJ to do it

So glad WWE didn’t “go with simple”. This isn’t the pg era anymore. Most fans are adults with brains who can handle complex storytelling. There will be outrage on some episodes of your favorite television. But fans stick around until the end of the arc to before completing sabotaging the creators per se.
I'm really curious how they are going to do this. I just don't see Drew losing at Clash in Scotland. What they could do is have Punk, "help" Drew win so he can taunt Drew that he is the only champion because he allowed it to happen. This could set up Drew vs Gunther where Punk either cost Drew again, or Gunther just wins clean. Of course, Punk could also cost Drew yet again at Clash, setting up Punk/Drew and Priest/Gunther at Summer Slam. My only concern is I see Otis having a big impact on if Chad Gable wins or not. I just don't know if having 2 possible title changes happen by interference in the same match is the way to go.
I think Gable wins and sets up the Gable vs Otis at Summerslam.
I can see a scenario where Punk helps Drew, that opens the door for Punk to use it against him "you only won because of me" element

I think I could overbook it even more. Drew wins on Saturday. Sami Zayn loses the IC title but he wins Money in the Bank 3 weeks later. Drew and Damian have a rematch at Money in the Bank and CM Punk causes Drew the title then. Damian faces Gunther and they go toe to toe, Gunther wins but he's exhausted. Sami Zayn cashes in and he beats Gunther. They have a rematch at Bash in Berlin and this time Gunther wins and he keeps the title beyond WrestleMania, at least until Backlash or even longer. Eventually he can lose to Seth Rollins, to Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, maybe Bron Breakker...
Agree Simon, when New Day was the WWE tag team champions it was good, next you have the Usos and the Bloodline and eventually KO and Sami Zayn but now it feels flat and unimportant fading into the background so I want The New Day the get the Gold and then have something with The New Testament 😂

I’m predicting a Punk/McIntyre double turn at Clash at the Castle
I think Drew should win clash and have Sheamus to win money in the bank. That way at summerslam there could be a triple threat rematch between Sheamus, Drew, and Gunther from their wrestlemania 39 bout with a completely new story.
(Where potentially ludwig could get involved with Sheamus, costing Drew and Sheamus the win and Gunther becoming champion while protecting Drew since he'd once more be screwed over. OR CM punk returns here and screws drew).
FANTASY BOOKING FOR LIFE
Ultimately, the Punk and Drew feud doesn’t need the championship. This is a true blood feud and the only true form of satisfaction for either of them is making the other suffer, so I am a fan of Punk costing Drew at Clash, and setting up possibly a no holds barred or Hell in a Cell match where they can attempt to m**drer each other for Summerslam
Plus giving Damien a win here and at MITB is going to make him look more credible and add fuel to his babyface push after being fed to Gunther and JD turning on him

McIntyre is alone on the Clash At The Castle marquee. No Priest, even in the background. And we know that Triple H is not big on swerves and "subverting expectations". The outcome is predictable precisely because any other result just would not make any sense.
Could make SS match a triple threat match between Gunther vs McIntyre vs Punk. It would help ease Punk back in and carry on the feud.
Dont forget that WWE had Sami Zayn lose at his home to Roman (Which this crowd was insane btw) so i wouldn't be surprised if wwe do the same here
I like this booking! McIntyre losing the championship to the last two MITB winners... Both times due to interference from Punk, who also is a former two time MITB winner.
Just gotta say, whoever did that thumbnail has got me tripping. Drew looks like M.Bison or Sagat on the old street fighter 2 box art. Once you see it you can't unsee it.
Jey will win MITB and pull off a heist on Gunther like Seth Rollins did since he’s already lost to Gunther multiple times, and WWE has made it clear they want him to have a title before the year ends and he gets stuck back with the bloodline.
The idea that Drew could win the title at Money in the Bank and then lose it to Money in the Bank again woulc be hilarious
You're point on AJ I can see happening. He "copied" the Worlds Strongest "Retirement" announcement. Wouldn't be surprised if they go the recorded "I quit" route. Cody yelled it on Smackdown. He'll probably say it again this week. You could have the Good Brothers mess around in the truck with the audio as well. I've never really seen Cody use a submission to win a match. This match is more suited to AJ.
I hated how Gable cowered to Otis in the corner, before Otis decided to stick with him. He should have shouted in his face, told him to stand down or whatever. Chad shouldn’t fear Otis at this point. You need to build to that. It felt like Chad just gave up all his power over Otis and the group in that moment. 😞
Nothing about Chad so far is building towards him actually being in control. He rules out of fear and insecurity. He’s been being portrayed as jealous and desperate and bordering on insane. He is a good wrestler, but his inability to win a title on his own is manifesting as him trying to maintain control over the Academy.
My hope is something along the lines of Punk showing up as a distraction for a false finish. Announcers say "Punk just screwed Drew Again!" Only for Drew to turn it around and win.
Let's be honest being rubbish on the mic is really what halts him. I don't think anyone denies Ricochet's wrestling ability but it's hard to get far if you can't talk unless you are paired with a top tier manager
WWE needs to use mangers more in general but for someone like Ricochet it seems like such a no-brainer. He's absolutely dynamite in the ring.

Here's a pitch. Drew wins, Sami loses. MITB in Toronto: Sami wins the case in the opener and halfway through the show Drew and Punk cut a promo and Punk leaves him laying. Sami cashes in immediately. You have massive moments in Glasgow, massive moment in Toronto. Drew getting hit with Mitb twice in 3 months is hilarious. Summerslam is Punk v Drew and a wrestlemania rematch for the World title Gunther v Sami Zayn. Drew and Gunther to win
What is Punk helps Drew win the title at Clash, so that when they do have thier match the title is on the line too, and Punk claims something along the lines of “when I beat you, you’ll actually lose everything”
I don't think we should rule out any outcome from that world title match
I think it'd be best for everyone if Ricochet was a free-agent and performed in as many promotions as he can for a couple years. This way, he can build his reputation and get the superstar status he deserves. Idk if people truly get just how much more there is to Ricochet. He could have good promos if paired with the right person and not written to look like a gimmick
Before he came to WWE I was most familiar with him as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground and he was _awesome_
Just a thought… maybe the Judgement Day reforms as Drew, Finn and JD after they turn on Priest at Clash leading to a title change.
Finn can have a kayfabe beef with Priest dating back to when Priest almost cashed in on Seth/Finn. Also Priest was in charge at War Games and they lost.
It makes Priest a face and frees Dom to have the Liv angle that will lead to Rhea becoming a face.
Think of the pop that Drew, JD and Fin would get as they close out the show with the belt.

it'd be interesting to see Punk make a mistake and accidentally cost Damian the title in an attempt to cost Drew the match. Drew would be so cocky afterwards. And then Punk would gain an enemy in damian and the judgement day

I don´t think you ruin a long term story just because you don´t want to piss a specific crown. Storywise makes no sense for Drew to take the title off Priest. Oh and for the love of God, people stop saying Punk v Drew for the title at SummerSlam, Gunther already has that match.

What if Drew wins at Clash at the Castle and CM Punk simply STEALS his title just like The Rock did to Stonecold? So Drew is called Champ but he doesn't even have a title to show for it because Punk is holding it hostage. It's a bit silly but its not something you see all the time

I hear everyone complaining about too many belts in wrestling. But that is so ignorant, and I'll tell you why. If we only had 1 heavy weight, 1 set of tag team, and 1 mid card belt for each the men and women that will be all they have on TV. That 1 champion for each belt would be the only people on TV every week. Multiple belts mean more story lines.
Go back to AEW. They have enough titles for AEW, WWE and TNA.

Whats wrong with people eh?? What makes you guys think that SummerSlam is Automatic Win for Gunther if even Drew is Champion?? Only reason gunther win last SummerSlam was because he was real close to beating Honky Tonk Man's record for longest IC title reign otherwise he would anyways suffer fate of falling at hands of Drew. Drew was the first to pin walter on main roster too. He is no match to Drew be it promo, storytelling, selling and both are equally good in ring.

To be fair, the PLE after SummerSlam is Bash in Berlin, so Gunther could very well just allow Drew vs. Punk for the WHC to happen at SS, so that Gunther can challenge the winner in his (surrogate) home of Germany.

Just a personal hot take Simon: Despite the fact that they are currently rivals and they hate each other very much in kayfabe, maybe in real life too, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre being forced to be a tag team and even having a world tag team title run would be unexpected and absolutely mind-blowing.
