My pastor ok ‘d my narcissist ex too . He told my mom later he was teaching me a lesson . I’m not even sure why you would advise a life changing thing in someone’s life and use it as a lesson . And he prophecies too so I really trusted him . I did t want to use my feeling at the time to make judgement . It has been a nightmare . This man almost killed me.

🙏🏼 your right about taking responsibility but I don’t believe you should take full responsibility. You were a young women seeking support from a man “of status” presenting as a man “of God”. You were mentally manipulated/abused and that is not your fault. In this world of healing mentally and physically and the rest of it we put a lot on taking full responsibility but I think it is a dangerous way of gaslighting ourselves. Xxxx
Thank you so much for your comment! I agree, whilst I take full accountability for my actions I am also aware I can’t keep blaming myself. Therapy has certainly helped with this too. It’s part of the healing process as you said to I believe do such. We are to reflect and examine and take ownership of our actions which is what I believe I have done. Thank you again. ❤️🙏🏾
but the truth is sometimes you've got to change, especially on a religious Journey if its for the good. But if you feel like you can't be with someone unless they embrace everything about you at that current time (mind you, you'll definitely change anyway unless you're dead lol) then you should try to find someone like that. But my guess is this is a reason why a lot of people never marry bc life is about compromise / change and revision
Yes you are absolutely right. But change must come voluntarily, not by force! I surely changed and as you said, change is constant. I am talking about a change that is done with force, manipulation and control. Not the healthy change that is constant and necessary for every individual and marriage. How can someone repeat the same thing for 10 minutes using even the same words? You have 0 respect for people's time. Also would be lovely for yourself to take some accountability. Nobody can make you do anything. You married him because you wanted that.
Really sorry... You were only 24 not yet fully mature, your pastor misled you at your young age.... Marriage is such a personal decision .. decision should be between you and God...if you have a loving supportive family, they should be very key as well... Puting a pastor,bishop,prophet in the position of Jesus is dangerous, only Jesus is our mediator.they are just human with flaws...many pastors are also narcissistic & controlling. Remember: Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately corrupt;who can understand it. Mark 10:18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. 1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
