Go for it!! I’m about halfway through tech school and I can tell I’m going to love it. The classes can be challenging at times but just make sure you study and you’ll be golden!! The timing kind of worked out perfectly for me to get it because I got it like 3 (ish) weeks after going to MEPS. But this job is definitely worth the wait!!
When becoming flight crew (like you) are you required to jump out of a plane as part of training? Can you make a video about your job and the requirements. I’m 4’11 so a lot of jobs I think won’t accept me
It was my #2 pick! My recruiter told me to only put 1 or 2 on the list since aricrew does have less lots than jobs like security forces or maintenance jobs. That being said, they are always recruiting for every job! If you're trying to go aircrew my best advice is to pick your top 3 and put those on the list
@@faithwagner Nice I am a little jealous, I'm in the process right now but I have a heart defect so I don't think I can pass any flight physicals but I wanted to do aviation. I even scored a 93 asvab so I could pick about any job. Going to MEPS on Wednesday for army and trying to get an intel job.
If you already did most of this stuff at MEPS, including the additional Air Force stuff, are you required to do it all again at BMT for the flight physical?
@@gladysgarcia4070 no duck walks at the flight physical lol and the length just depends on your medical history and if there's anything that would stop you from flying
Kinda wish that I had brought lotion because literally everyone’s hands were ridiculously dry (we came in the winter tho so not sure if it would be this way in the summer) and garter straps since you will wear your blues multiple times throughout and will get them inspected. As for what I wish I didn’t pack there’s really not anything I can think of. I have a video of what I packed from back in January if you’d like to take a peak :)
@@faithwagner actually thought I had asked this on that video - must have switched just before 😅. Thanks for taking the time to answer - much appreciated!
I still have like 2 or 3 more weeks to go until graduation for it but it has been very difficult so far. The course is designed to be that way tho since it’s supposed to weed people out. The class has already lost 2 ppl due to testing. That being said there will be things that come easier to you than others. Like for me the math is stupid easy but I have a harder time remembering all the definitions since there’s so many of them. It’s definitely challenging but very rewarding
Bless you
Going to back to lackland in a couple days for a flight physical as a Cross trainee into an aviation career. Not looking forward to doing these 😭😂
I want to get special missions aviation so bad, any tips. Did you wait for your job to be open?

Yeah I think for all flying jobs you have to be 5’3 and as for the jumping out of a plane part, most likely not until much later down the road
How was the process of making your job list? Was special missions aviator your #1 choice? I have heard there is not very many slots open for aircrew

Unfortunately yes you have to do it all again but it’s not that bad
Do you have to re-do the duck walk? Lol, I honestly didn’t like it. Is the medical interview as quick as it was at MEPS (like 10-15 minutes)?

@@gladysgarcia4070 yes! All enlisted aircrew, SERE, and special warfare
