Some of these i learned but most I didn't. I've been training for over 35 years and using PivotTables since they first came out. Absolutely amazing! I thought I knew everything there was to know. Thank you!
This was great! I have been creating pivot tables for the past 15 years and have taken three PT courses. I still learned a couple of new things in this video. I am compelled to subscribe. Thank you!
great highlights Leila! I use pivot tables every single day and there a lot of tricks and shortcuts that I just learned. Massive thank you, keep up the fantastic advisory and teaching lessons. Bravo!
Many features were there that I overlooked 🤣🤣🤣. You've been my best source of learning for years ‼️ Then I act like I'm a genius that's helping people. For those who are eager to learn, I have your channel to point them to... Thank you for your great content!
Thanks for this informative video. Two features is totally new for me while I'm using the Excel in every single day. 1. Set default Pivot table setting. 2.Report filter pages. I'll start using them immediately. Thanks once again.
Thank you Leila, always learn something new by watching your videos. Conditional formatting came as an unexpected surprise. I’ll make sure to use it on my next reports :) Appreciate your valuable lessons
Happy Teacher's Day!🎉 my favourite pt features are label/value filters and show values as. Not sure if anything changed but the audio of this video is great!!!
i am information technology students everday i advance my self with excel word powerpoint access forms docs also learning new features in AI i listen to all my tech supporters. SO far this course is also the best continue making more videos i love this channel
Love the dynamic formatting idea! Love the settings for the default. Love the FILTERS worksheet. I’ll be applying these things immediately to my work product. Thank you
😁😁😁 ... Leila's back! ... Leila's Back! ... Leila's BACK!!! Morning light has yet to arrive, but with a mug of hot black coffee (and pound cake), I stare intently at the monitor and try to hang on every word ... repeatedly hitting the back arrow key to repeat what Prof Leila just mentioned ... with Pivot Table ideas popping in my head like flashbulbs. I will run out of coffee long before I will fully digest all suggestions presented in this terrific video ( ... ANOTHER terrific video ... but no surprise). I'm a long way from Pivot Table mastery (still need master the 'basics') but always look forward to the lessons taught in Prof Leila's class ... 😍😍😍 ... thank you ... thank you ... thank you. PS At the 5:20 mark: " ... he probably has to work in his language skills and tone ...". Gee ... 🤔... I wonder who could help him with that? ... 🤭
This should be the official breakfast for champions: black coffee, cake and some serious Pivot Table action.😊 Thank you as always for the kind words and your ongoing support! 🙏
I learned a lot from you, especially about Microsoft Office. It really helps me in my work. Thank you very much for the knowledge you share. May your good deeds be rewarded by God. Always be healthy and successful!
I wanted to express my admiration for your exceptional teaching skills and ability to simplify complex concepts. Thank you for your dedication. I'm reaching out for guidance on creating unique count options in pivot tables. Could you please assist me with this? Best regards, kumar P
Another great video Leila thanks. If you could make some video about building some reports/dashes using for example multiple date calendars (Ex: open_tickets_date and close_tickets_date) and good practices with slicers and pivot tables is going to be awesome.
Another amazing video, Leila! I found myself doing Excel pivot table work the same way year after year and always acquiescing to the few moments of added formatting work. Changing the defaults will make a nice difference! Thank you for so expertly explaining it!! I also love how you incorporate your sense of humor and fun into them, like the use of the BB character names and clip, and how you creatively and gently invite people to like and subscribe to your channel, e.g. the text pop-up in this one. I'm curious if you, or anyone of your followers can help. About the Report Filter Pages, once created, what's the most efficient way to copy or export each resulting tab (and the individual's underlying data) to new Excel files (not PDF) so they can be sent to the individual reps, without access to the other reps data?
Many people still underestimate excel, as if excel only has standard formula features. In fact, excel is now very good and capable of doing various things. Not only pivot tables, but excel even has a strong connection with power query which is also very strong in helping you process data. Sometimes people who underestimate excel may not know the new excel features and think it is still like excel 2003/2007.
Is there a way to keep default settings for slicers? I like to go into properties > Don't move or size with cells. Also defaulting the slicer connections to all pivot tables? Thank you! Love your channel! I learn something new all the time from your videos!
Interesting and useful video yet again (though after a gap!), thank you Leila! Looking forward eagerly to your new Pivot Table course. I am sure it will be a great value add just like your other ones! All the best! 🙂
Thank you, Leila. Even though I’ve been using Pivot Tables for over 10 years, I still find something new to learn from you. I have a question that’s been a headache for me in Pivot Tables: I have to apply number formatting to each column separately. Is there a way to format the entire table in one move or set it as a default? Thanks in advance.
Hmm, you can predefine formatting for measures in Power Pivot. But even then you have to apply it for every measure separately. There is no option to do it for the entire table.
Hi Lelia, I had subscribed your channel more than 4years, your video is very useful and I learned a lot of equations of excel, but could you please teach me how to hide the worksheet and don’t let other people to see it in google sheet? Thanks
I really really like the names you used in the tables like Saul Goodman, Gustavo Fring., Mike Ehrmantraut, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman and the Car Wash Sites,. I have a feeling i know them. Oh and btw very good explanation of the pivot tables
I find the default settings for Pivot Table options, particularly the "Show in Tabular Form" option and the unchecked "Autofit Column Widths on Update" option, to be highly beneficial in reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI).
👌💥💯🥳Haaaa this is BRILLIANT! 👌💥💯🥳 Not only your wisdom delivered in your excellent and unique way, but to reference Breaking Bad and Saul Goodman Characters in the Table. Genius! Heisenberg, Pinkman, Gustavo Fring, Walter White, Mike. I just LOVE this, you just made excel a whole lot more fun!
The last tip is something I should try... For two years I got used to using functions that literally made pivot tables redundant. (Except for cases where I needed a refresh to be manual and not automatic, or controlled by a controller) Then I started working in a new place and with Office 16, I don't have any of these functions, and I'm rediscovering the pivots... Bottom line? I learned during this time how important it is to get to know as many features and functions as possible. Suddenly I found out what the hell a function like "address" for example is needed for...😂

Default settings was a game changer for me. Thanks a lot Leila!!
Our pleasure! It's one of those things that can really make a difference.
For some reason default layout settings changed are not working for me. Excel is still giving default layout.
Changing the default pivot table was so BIG!!! Thanks for that!
When I discovered that I did a dance
The smile on my face needed to be seen, when I saw that.
Me too!
Filter options that replicate to each tab is one I overlooked and will find so useful in the future. Thanks Paul
When you think you know stuff, you always learn from Leila. Brilliant videos always. God bless!
Thank you. I'm always learning myself
Never Is too late to learn something that was in front of your face for such a long time.
Thank you so much!
You're a great and generous teacher.
Some of these i learned but most I didn't. I've been training for over 35 years and using PivotTables since they first came out. Absolutely amazing! I thought I knew everything there was to know. Thank you!

It is truly amazing how technology keeps transforming essential Excel features by making them more user friendly. Great video.....
I'm happy to be part of a growing organization that is changing people's lives
Thank you! As much as I use Pivot Tables, I didn’t know about that conditional format button on the side! I’ll be playing around with that soon!!
It's easily overlooked. Hope it will come in handy for you.

Brilliant! Especially changing defaults. You are a star Leila!
Happy Teacher's Day!🎉 my favourite pt features are label/value filters and show values as. Not sure if anything changed but the audio of this video is great!!!
Default pivot table as well as filter pages made my day. I also didn't know you could hide the numbers.
I would request a deep dive into ‘insert calculated field’ feature for pivot tables where you can insert various formulae inside pivot tables
i am information technology students everday i advance my self with excel word powerpoint access forms docs also learning new features in AI i listen to all my tech supporters. SO far this course is also the best continue making more videos i love this channel
I like so much the way you teach, because English it isn't my first language but I can still understand your teachings 😊.

Wow... I wasn't aware of any of those features. Impressive! I may need to consider the upcoming masterclass. 🙌
Thanks for the Filter advice. Perfect for my needs
Wow! Thanks a lot ! I dont know why I haven’t thought about but the presetting for pivot are time saver.
Thanks, great content as always...whenever I need to update my office package knowledge you're my favorite teacher ❤
I learned a lot from you, especially about Microsoft Office. It really helps me in my work. Thank you very much for the knowledge you share. May your good deeds be rewarded by God. Always be healthy and successful!
A great set of tips that I’ll put into use, first thing I’ll fix is that annoying auto resize option that I can turn off forever!
Thanks!
Great video. Thank you. I am a small business owner and use pivot tables all the time. Setting defaults will help a lot.
That's great to hear!
You are one of my best teachers ❤
Brilliant as always.. You are my go to excel person!
For me too!!!
Thank you so much!
Thanks Leila, these are some good tools that I was somewhat unaware of.

Thanks so much for this; i've been looking for ways to change default pivot table settings. This is so good...Thanks 👍

Great help thanks. I do a fair bit of data analysis and use pivot tables alot. I'll try these features.
Great! I hope they'll come in handy for you.
Excellent video, Laila. I forgot about the Report Filter feature.
Amazing video! Thanks a lot! Can't wait for the course 🙂
As always great tips

All of these were new to me!! Great post

Loved the conditional formatting of the bars, just what I was looking for for my next report, thank you!! The Jesse comment 5:13 killed me 😂😂
Love this channel. I've learned so much. I plan on registering for some these classes in the near future!
Awesome! Thank you!
@@LeilaGharani Does the site offer any training on PowerQuery, PowerPivot, VBA coding?

Fabulous... that final tip is great
Filter pages! What an awesome feature!! Thank you!
It really is!
Happy teacher day dear madam...
Excel teacher ki... Jai
Report filter pages! I didn't know that one existed! Thank you! 😁👍🏼
Happy to help!
Yup! Several I was unaware of! Many thanks!
Thank you Leila! Great tips as always! I wonder how to use conditional formatting to compare values in two columns on Pivot table. 🤔
My favorite is Report filter pages
All of these especially the Report filter pages are awesome!!... are this features available in Google Sheet? Can you teach us please... Thank you...
This is very useful information. Thank you so much for this video.
You're very welcome!
Filter reports! Amazing!

😅 I had fun optimizing this dataset.
One feature I use is the cube function, great for changing the layout of your pivot, still works with your slicers
I find the default settings for Pivot Table options, particularly the "Show in Tabular Form" option and the unchecked "Autofit Column Widths on Update" option, to be highly beneficial in reducing the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI).
Excellent Leila!!

Thank you for the wonderful tips
Glad you like them!
Leila very good. Thank you
And, did you mention about Cube functions inside your PT course?
I like the last trick. It helps me a lot.
Very informative! Thank you!
Game changing! Thanks!
Great video Leila! What microphone is the one you're using? Audio sounds amazing!
Thanks for the auto fit feature in pivot.
