Hi Lindsey. My hair goal was to grow my bald patch back, which I have been trying to do for 8 years now. I only found out about hair teas earlier this year. They have helped a little, I have a tiny bit of new growth in my patch. I have stuck to finger detangling for the last 3 washes and I have less hairfall now. I try to be much more gentle with my hair now. I have gained 5.5 inches of length in the last 18 months praise the lord! My goal for 2025 is to be as gentle and consistent as possible and possibly achieve mid back length hair. ❤🙏🏾
Praise the Lord!!! Glad you are seeing a bit of growth with the bald patch...you will get there. Wishing you the best with your hair in the coming year 🙏🏽
I did not reach my goal this year. But I do believe this year wasn’t about growth physically, but spiritually when it comes to my haircare philosophies and beliefs…and how that translates into identity, confidence, and worth. ❤ and I realized more of us need the types of content that doesn’t focus on haircare and length retention tips, but the spiritual aspect of it. And that sets us up for better success in 2025. Thank you for being an inspiration.😊❤
@ Awww thank you Hazel!!!! Same!!! 2024 was just becoming reacquainted with my hair and figure out what it loves and doesn’t. 2025 will be all about consistency. 🥹🌺
That's why I keep saying our hair is not "Just hair"...there is definitely more to it😊. You seem to have connected well with your hair this year. Wishing you and your hair the best in the coming year.
I reached several of my goals this year with your help. 1. I began a wash day and re- moisturizing routine. (the days are marked on a calendar)😊 2. I use the Harmony Natural products and the tea rinse recipes as well. I watch one of your RUclips videos on wash day as I’m doing my hair.😅 (It helps)! You’re such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and encouragement. Happy Holidays
I have never been so connected to hair in my life. Praying and loving my hair has cause substantial growth! I speak life over my hair and it is flourishing! Thank you for all the wisdom that you have shared. I truly appreciate all that you have done, it's has been a blessing! Continued blessings to you Queen!😊
I have met many goals this year. 1) I have learned (from YOU!) to embrace my hair texture….to be gentle with it….to ‘get to know’ my own hair. 2) I am successfully taking care to moisturize my ends and keep my hair in protective twists. 3) My strands have grown like crazy and I was almost frightened by it! I have no styles for my hair bec it is now fully waist length (thank goodness for shrinkage!!!) and I have learned patience with it thru your encouraging videos. 4) I spritz with teas, oil and massage my scalp with herb infused oils. And last but not least…..Taking the time for Re-moisturizing my hair completely….not rushing thru it. Thank you for these videos that encourage us to stay the course with our natural hair journeys. ❤
I didn’t meet my goal but I spent this year learning all hair techniques and saw lots of length retention as I mastered my routine. The biggest challenge is self acceptance while carrying my hair out with no wigs, no braids and in a protective style, ends tucked. I still struggle with it now and I just hope it gets better. I’m impatient for visibly long hair but I am beginning to believe through evidence seen in my own journey that my hair will get there. I just hope to feel beautiful again some day.
Hi Lindsey, I’m a new subscriber & while I’m NOT new to taking care of my natural hair I AM looking to break a bra strap hair plateau. I have seen retention so I know it’s healthy and I know it’s growing but I am just OVER being at this same length for the past year or two. I’m setting myself up for a breakthrough in 2025 (May the almighty make me/us ALL SUCCESSFUL in this endeavor) and subscribing to your channel is step 1. Step 2…ridding my hair care cabinet of ALL products that have ingredients I can’t pronounce. Step 3. Consistency. I can do this. God willing…I know I can. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I'm happy for everyone that reached their hairgoals. Unfortunately i had a setback due to sleep deprivation post partum. My hair grew but it's thinning. I did everything i could but did not get enough rest. So hopefully next year will be different.
I met my goal in terms of length, but I suffered a couple of setbacks, and I learned a lot about my hair. The biggest take away was that our crowns are alive, and our strands are not stagnant. What worked a few years ago may not work today due to changes in age, hormones, climates, etc. So we have to really observe our hair and adjust on the journey, whether it’s products, washing frequency, styles, etc. I can’t believe I’m still trying to figure out the perfect washing frequency!! But hopefully I’ll get there in 2025. Thanks for all the encouragement this year! 🥰💕💜
I would say this was the year of pivoting and a lot of change in my spiritual life and personal life in general. It was as of June where I really got introduced to expanding in my natural hair journey. September was when I started and learned about low protective styles And I started doing mini twist and have been doing it monthly for four months now. And I’ve seen so much of growth I would say right now my goal is to get to waste length and I’m still not there. But I have gotten a new confidence of rocking my short natural hair and it feels good.
I met some of them! Good reflection. I mostly wore my hair in mini twists throughout the year and practiced finger detangling (the only exception was my wedding and pre-wedding event). I retained way more hair with finger detangling, which was so encouraging. I learned that I don’t really like doing mini twists despite enjoying the aesthetic - it felt daunting to take them out, so I’d consistently put it off, then they’d get tangled and I’d have a hard time removing them, only confirming my earlier hesitation to remove them in the first place. I will continue practicing finger detangling in 2025 (I may use a comb once every ~4 months, we’ll see) but switch to medium-sized twists and incorporate more twist outs to enjoy my hair’s volume. I love your channel, thanks for this reflection q!
I’ve seen an immediate improvement in my hair health after using the product and have ordered for some more. Thank you please never change the product recipe.
I reached me hair goals of learning how to finger detangle and exclusively doing it for a year, moisture training my hair and learning how twist my hair better
I didn’t think to set any goals at all this year for my hair. Next year will be a great time to set concrete and clear hair goals for my hair and to put the effort in to achieving growth, length and thickness. I thank you for posting inspirational videos about hair and I believe that black hair can and will grow and flourish.
Hey I’m a first time father of a little black girl. Her mom is great but is not well versed on taking care of natural hair and really doesn’t like the feeling of hair on her hands. I don’t mind at all tho. I’m educating myself on natural hair care and ma’am I loveeee your page. This is exactly the type of page I was looking for on RUclips. Thank you for sharing all your information. I humbly request a book or condensed source of information of all the different topics you discuss (product, hair science, teas, techniques, styles). I’d really appreciate it and would pay money for something like that. Because currently that source of info doesn’t exist, especially not from someone as knowledgeable as yourself
Thanks for sharing this lovely video. I hope that you achieved your hair goals this year. I hope that you’ll also achieve them in 2025. Cheers 🥂 to maintaining our hair’s health.
Not quite.. I didn’t retain as much length because I was not trimming efficiently… was afraid of losing length but I decided to get rid of them and get a fresh start
A valuable vid--thank you. I was successful in getting less hairstyles with added hair. I mostly had my own hair only this yr. And i did mostly protective styling this yr, and mini twists. Also used teas and made masks regularly. Next yr i want more length retention and to regularly scalp massage to try and improve a few areas in my hair life. We'll see!!❤
Hello, I did get to shoulder length, but my hair is still thin in the very front and crown areas. I will continue using Amla and Bhringraj powders. I have been using these powders since February. I also use tea rinses. I was hoping for more progress with the bald spots.😌 Hopefully, in 2025 I will get some major results.
