My mage keeps getting 3 stars on return from the same dude like 7 or 8 times , while everyone else gives her 5. I am going to change her to a strider because screw 718daboi and his 3 star giving punkass
You get all 3’s when your pawn dies in service automatically. 718daboi is just maiming them.
Or he just skips the stars, bc the automatic mount of stars you can give is 3, you can make 4 or 5 or even 1 but the automatic is 3

or he could also be a magick archer and be using your pawns as fuel for Great Sacrifice, just like bullets
Did you know MK can parry the ballistas at Shadow Fort with lightning riposte? Right from the opposite wall, which makes it the highest distance Arisen attack, I believe.

Love the mystic knight appreciation. And the magic cannon bit is too true, except i use two or three to make the game lag with my magic machine gun
I once combined it with elemental skills, ruinous sigils, and holy furor all at once.
It took my ps3 like 15 minutes to process 15 seconds of gameplay.
If you have sigils out plus pawns sigils at the same location plus the 2 or 3 magic cannons then that lags for me.
That perfect block montage was excellent.

I've always loved 'offensive defense' play in rpgs. Mystic knight is the most fun form of it I've ever run into.

I fought Grigori as an underleveled strider my first playthrough. I vividly remember it taking about 40 minutes, all my pawns dying, and sheer resolve to win.
My second I went in as a Mystic Knight and buried him in less than 60 seconds.

Really nice to see an MK main doing montages again.
I remember feeling dang invincible with those perfect blocks and GCs. I think the only thing you need to worry about are attacks like the rift vortex of the Daimon's 2nd Form. You could laugh at anything else being thrown at you and with that fighter skill that extends perfect block frames, pretty much everything is shut down.
I used to not think much of this game when it first came out, thought it was way too punishing in the early game for low level characters. In a sense, I still believe that but I've been giving it a real chance this time around, learning the mechanics and enemy weaknesses and whatnot and it's made a big difference. All that being said, if I was still on the fence before, I'm fully on board now thanks to your channel. Your videos aren't just hilarious, feel good, builds but you even share what you know with people. It's really helpful and you got a damn great sense of humor. Had know clue the Dragon's Dogma community had such a gem.

Mystic Knight perfect blocking is probably the most satisfying counter gameplay mechanic in an ARPG to me.

I remember going through all the vocations, from the elite assassin to the unhinged disaster master(sorcerer) and I came across this dude with the goofy oversized shield. Needless to say, after several hundred hours of playing as him I think I'm starting to like it.

to this DAY i can't perfect block for squat and I still find Mystic Knight hilariously fun. im sorry the timing just.... I don't know, I might have Phillip J. Fry's 'stupid fingers' or something i'm always too early or just eat the hits forgive me i'm a mystick archer main I just ain't used to actual combat without setting myself on fire
I did not know you could parry the wall of fire at 2:50 nice work. And tbh, the fact that you can actually parry that instant death spell is pretty neat even if the timing has to be super precise

Abyssal Anguish and Blitz Strike works similarly to the parry. It triggers the energy burst like 20 times when a direct hit.

If you have a Steam account I will fucking buy it FOR you. Totally serious. When the game ported to PC for the first time, I bought eight copies so JUST people could experience this game. And no, for anyone else, this offer does not extend to everyone. I only have so much disposable income, and vetting is tough once one person has expressed interest.
Playing MK and parrying the entire game is an absolute pleasure. I'm sticking to playing a sorc but that sh!t is as fun as it is strong

I hope in DD2 Hybrid classes get some sort of "hybrid" weapon too, like a magic mace for mystic knight, for example.
