Did you ever take the plunge? My wife and I are about to embark on the journey, in Heathfield, East Sussex and are always keen on hearing others' experience.
Well done for opening your micropub in the midst of a pandemic! We filmed a lot of London & South East area micropubs for our documentary including The Dodo, The Little Green Dragon and The River Ale House. We finished last year, otherwise we would have LOVED to follow your journey. We'll have to come check out The Stag & Lantern in very near future. :)

@@thestagandlantern It totally does make a good story! We are so proud of all the micropubs that have gone through the pandemic over the last 18 months, and have managed to keep business going. Just found this and your story resonates. I came across micro pubs in around 2013 and the idea has always stuck with me. Life for in the way but now actively pursuing the goal. So yeah keep up the videos and content.

@colingilham1312 unfortunately not, I'm disappointed but the footfall around here is tourist based, I think it would die a death during Winter..
