    Nice one Chris. Badly flooded rivers can be great as you've proved here.
    There was a huge trout - maybe caught just after the Great Storm of 1987 that someone caught in a flooded pub car park :)
    Where I am there's a short canal and lock that bypasses a weir(for boats). Every year the river floods and all the fish end up in that short bit of canal - provides some good fishing for Roach, Perch and Pike.

    Thanks for this, I was all but done on my local river till the waters dropped some more, but thought I'd try the twitching approach used in this video using a smaller weedless jig bait - one 12.5lb and a 7lb in the same short session in a place where I mostly only catch jack. Thanks!

    Hi, you're going to have a very beautiful pike. I also catch pike, but unfortunately there are not too many of them because fishermen take them for food. Keep going and I wish you much success. Greetings from Prague.

    Can’t believe how much of your fishing has been done around Morrison’s. you have made a lot hole channel out of a tiny stretch of the idle ! Now that’s smart haha. Anyway I can guarantee you don’t have as many pike lures as me lad. You should drop in one day and take a look of them and the rest of my gear . Only in ordsall !!!

    I recon my part of the country has better pike, barbel, chub and zander especially the zander as I haven't seen you with one yet.
    Your perch are something special and the few big roach are hard to beat around my way. Too many predators to take them out.

    Great video !!! Looks like you had a really good day stepping out when others wouldnt dare !!! Congratulations and a big like from me . Looks like you was using fluorocarbon leaders . Controversial subject but good to see people with confidence in it . Fishing is always evolving and it good to see people moving with the times . Can i ask what breaking strain fluorocarbon you used on both your light and your heavy set up ? Im a river fisherman and lakes just dont appeal to me . Problem there is what breaking strain fluorocarbon leader do you use . You never know if pike are gonna have a go or not . The forums never give you an answer you can be confident in as everyone has different views . Where as seeing it in action like with you fishing here . Thats something you can take full confidence in !!! Would love to know what your using breaking strain wise for both light and heavy set ups using fluorocarbon leaders . Hope to hear from you and look forward to your next crazy vid !!!

    Good session Chris. Lovely chub, second Pike and the Perch...I kind of expected you to take a Pike from that little drainage ditch junction...it looked a perfect ambush spot.😉 Next time don't forget your landing net and please, PLEASE, when you're expecting Pike USE A WIRE TRACE! It only takes them to roll and bite once and you've lost your lure and the Pike is stuck with it. Fish safety first mate.☺

    • @xmiiamiiheat1875
      @xmiiamiiheat1875 4 года назад +1

      no net is better than a net because your hold the fish with your wet Hands thats better, but dont do the fish on the ground, only wet gras

    • @EddiePedalo
      @EddiePedalo 4 года назад +4

      @@xmiiamiiheat1875 Dropping fish onto concrete and dragging them over rocks, and through bankside snags, is not preferable to using a net. When you are roving, you don't always get a nice bank to land fish on by hand. There is no reason not to use a net, other than laziness, and that is doubly true for novices... never wade into a flooded river either.

    No wire trace?

    • @paulw6183
      @paulw6183 4 года назад +1

      It seems a lot of fishermen just use braid as it's tougher than mono and I'm guessing gives you more control over the lure, I'm not particularly experienced in pike fishing but personally I always use a trace incase I leave a lure or hook in the fish. I would of thought a pike could go through braid easily.

    If you are into puddles and stream fishing, credit where it's due for having the balls to admit to animal cruelty for your own personal gain (youtube/Facebook). Always nice to have a bend in your rod.. I can get that dangling a banana out my car window in Tipton. (no animal cruelty) upon advice to avoid descrimination I have been advised to add Wednesbury.

      I'd rather be a homeless smackhead than a Syrian Refugee.. Better odds of survival. No-one ever likes hearing the truth.. Do a little fishing and pretend it's not happening.. Pathetic.
