Suggest you save this page when you do get one that has the Red Loctite on it when you find that it doesn,t screw off easily it may keep you from destroying your magazine tube . a word of cautionary advice, set the receiver deeper into the jig, flush with the fore face, to avoid twisting the receiver. Great video and thorough coverage.
Well I didn't watch the video but I don't need to and I have no clue what you're talking about about worrying about twisting the receiver that stuff just basically falls apart once you take that screw loose on the end of the magazine tube so what are you talking about? you don't even need to put it in a vise ive done it 50 times literally on my lap.
The Maverick 88 comes in many configurations. Just order the one you want and you won't have to do this. The result in this vid is their #31046. 7+1 12ga 20" barrel.
Much less $$ too, but the build is fun and for people who are doing it in stages. It started when my brother bought the basic version of the gun and we looked into the mods that were available.
It's expensive to buy all these parts and do it yourself, but it's fun and I enjoy it because I get to learn a lot about this kind of stuff and it comes with a bit of pride when you take it to the range and people are like "wow where'd you get that?", and you can tell them that you built it.

@@wespeacock793 Just had to look up what “bbl” means. Apparently you were too lazy to type ‘barrel’ so you used an abbreviation that doesn’t even make sense. Great work.
Thank you for the video it was very helpful and I subscribed. I was hoping someone could answer a simple question. Any pictures with worded details would be much appreciated or any advice. Thnx
I've been searching for a light rail or a light mounted in the pump grip. No such luck. I also want to keep my short 18.75 barrel and the light in the pump grip would be great. Mag extensions are also needed not to exceed the length of the barrel. Even if it gives no more than one or more shots. One shot can save your life. Do you have any info? Hi Brogan - that’s an ATI brand folding stock. I believe that they’re out of Wisconsin. You can find their products on their website www.atioutdoors.com/product-category/shotguns/maverick/maverick-88-12-gauge/ Check out my video on the installation at ruclips.net/video/zLglTsTanBk/видео.html
ATI also makes the Scorpion Grip for the AR-15 which I have on my AR and highly recommend, especially if you have any problems with your dominant hand.
I have a Maverick 88 with an 18.5" barrel, do I need to get another barrel so I can install a high capacity tube? mine is 6+1 right now. I want both my barrel and tube to match in length.
It’s a little over $200 at Brownells - they have great coupons from time to time that could get it below $200 if you follow them. I assume it is an 8 shot magazine tube if you load 2 3/4” shells. I would also recommend a bbl/buffer tube reinforcement brace.
I lucked out and bought mine at a pawn shop and it already had the 20” barrel and 7 round mag tube
That’s awesome - they make several variations.
Hard to find videos on extended maverick 88 magazines
I found that to be true too! That’s why I figured I’d make one. 😂

Does it line up with a 28 inch barrell

do you think this kit works for one chambered in 20 ga?
You would definitely need a kit specific to the 20 gauge as the magazine tube and barrel would be specific to the gauge of the firearm.
