I bought one of these recently and have seen a number of videos about disassembling and cleaning it, but yours is the only one I've seen that has multiple angles for some of the steps and I'm finding that really helpful. It's hard sometimes to tell the correct orientation of everything if you're only seeing it one way. Thanks!
Thank you! I have a bunch of new items to cover and am hoping to make some time to film some new videos in the near future. I appreciate your comment very much!
Agreed. Why didn't I find this when I was doing my first takedown the other day? lol the other guides didn't mention depressing the bolt lock first when re-inserting the bolt. I struggled with this. Hopefully I didn't do damange to my bolt or bolt lock.
3:08 Thank you so much for including this part about pushing in the bolt lock, I've been trying to get the bolt in for over an hour, this is the 5th video I've watched, yet the first time this has been shown. Its also the best explanation and best visuals for seeing whats actually happening. Thank you big time for the top notch video, I can now continue assembling my 88 properly :)
Just wanted to say thank you. Not the most complicated job in the world, but your video made it an absolute breeze! I'm spoiled from the simplicity of an 870, but nothing to be afraid of by any means. Thank you Mossberg and thank you sir!
Ditto as to others on your efforts regarding how detailed your videos are. I'm an 870 enthusiast, now have a few Mossbergs, but there were a few areas in the dis/re-assembly procedures that were frustrating...never commented before on a "how to video" but I felt compelled to give you kudos !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched at 6 other videos on this but this one is the best, simplest and most straight forward of all... I have subscribed and look forward to other videos.
Good work. Thank you for using good lighting, a contrasting background and clear vocal instruction. It's amazing how many You Tubers can't figure this out.
Great video! It's been a long time since I did a 500/88 armorers level clean and its a great refresher! Hate when folks dont bother to call the parts by their correct names - 'Take the thingy off, wait till the doo-hicky falls out." etc.
good video, i did it all like you said and couldn't get trigger in until God showed me one of the small pins in the trigger group was sticking out, then it went fine ! thanks and God Bless
New Subscriber. Absolutely the BEST video on this procedure I've seen! Thanks! If you have suggestions on slings & sling hardware options, I'm sure those would be welcomed by many.
thank you for the video, as i was reassembling mine and when i put the trigger it pops out a little, is that good? i put the pin and then it stays in place but noticed urs stayed in place before putting the pin, thabk you!
even with the bolt lock pushed in, it only pumps half way and gets stuck. if i have the trigger assembly out it will move back and forth fully. once i put the trigger in it only slide half way back. is driving me nuts any help?
Are you having to press the action lock lever at the end of video when you cycle dry fire ? After takedown and reassembly of my mavrick to install a new different forend assembly on pump handle, using dummy rounds and dry firing the pump is able to cycle forward and back without having to press the action lock lever on the left side behind trigger. Its a new to me new gun. So I am confused if that is supposed to work that way? I though it should require my pressing the action lock lever once racking a dummy round into the chamber, to bring the pump lever backward toward handle?

Wow, thanks! I appreciate your feedback very much!

I agree with Paul, excellent video. Thank you.
Thank you! Very much appreciated!
I just recently bought this weapon. So far this has been the best video showing how to break it down and reassemble.
I have watched at 6 other videos on this but this one is the best, simplest and most straight forward of all... I have subscribed and look forward to other videos.
Thank you! I truly appreciate it.
That was the best video on dissemble and reassemble on RUclips..thanks
Thank you!

Great video. straight forward and clear. No BS
Excellent job. Template for others thinking to produce breakdown / reassembly tutorials.
Still a Great Tutorial
Thank you! I appreciate that very much.

Thank you! I truly appreciate the feedback and I am glad you found the video useful.
Great instructional video. Easy to follow with the zoomed detailed videos in the corner. Keep up the good work.
Best tutorial after looking at 6 others.
By far the best take down procedure I came across, wish saw this sooner!
Great video!! I am a new owner and this video was extremely helpful with my learning how to clean the 88. Thanks again!!

Thank you for making the best quality video. Only video where I could see what was going on
Great video! Appreciate the close ups, we were really struggling with a couple of steps.
This was actually the best assembly/disassembly video I've seen and I've watched many! Thank You!
Best video so far for Maverick 88 disassembly & Reassembly. Thank you!
Awesome takedown and reassembly video I have ever witnessed
Perhaps the best video out there on this! Are you planning on making any more videos in the future?

Thank you so much for this. I just got my 88 last week.
Nice job that’s what I was looking for! Greetings from a fellow Granite Stater
Thank you - much appreciated!
Like the close up shots that reinforce what you say.
Agreed! Bravo! Wish there were more.
best teardown video I've seen so far, thanks!
Excellent video!
Amazing video! Thanks a lot!
Nice job in explaining
best instructional video for the gun!
I. have found it never that easy to engage the trigger assembly..
👍👍
Thank you!
Great Video

I think you’re all good as long as it stays in place with the pin and your functions check works well when you’re done.
Dude, Perfect video thank you!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Very helpful 💪🏽
Excellent
Another great video thank you. How often does this shotgun need to be totally field stripped like this?
Great vid man!!!
Good job

I can't get my barrel back in place..any other tips?
It's a firearm. It's not a weapon, unless yielded as one.
What is your ammo capacity
Final capacity after I added the high capacity tube is 7 plus one in the chamber.
The audio had me thinking I was having a stroke!
Maybe it is just me but I’m having a difficult time understanding you!
Must have been some weird glitch.
KEEP THE CAMERA VERY CLOSE TO THE GUN. DO NOT TILT THE GUN. thesis one of the better videos on this gun but needs more work.
Could you go a little faster and be more vague?
