I just ordered the kit and the engine your using, thank you!!! Great review and build,!
Another great video. Really enjoy your presentation style. Lovely looking model, just wish I had the storage space to keep one...!!!
We have quite few rv 8s at my field mostly from flex innovations foamies but we only have 1 of these about this size and my friend loves getting low to the ground with it lol! You will love the rv 8 I’m getting one as well around my birthday!! Congratulations!! She’s A Beauty!
I look forward to low, smoke passes.
Beautifully done! Appreciate the super helpful building tips that can apply to any other ARF build. Looking forward to the maiden flight.
"James Bond would be proud" 😂😂😂
Lovely build once again, greetings from the Netherlands ❤
Good looking plane, Fitz. Great build demo as well. Hopefully this crazy weather lets you try it out soon. Stay safe, my friend.
@@TheRekitter , Thanks, bud.
Very nice, can't wait to see her fly! Good luck, thanks for sharing.
This might be my next project. Wish it was bit bigger though. Great job!!! Looking forward to seeing it fly.
Hmmmmmm. Might need to get one of these too add the unopened boxes of things i needed. One day ill be a responsible adult, possibly
@@RubyS.1 , a man with a plan!
😂I’m not sure but this Ruby might not be a guy. At least last I looked.
Have one also, decided to go electric with badass motor/speed control/prop. Flies great, but did need a fair amount of weight in nose to balance with one 6s 5000 battery.
Love those Seagull planes. I would enjoy putting that one together.
I looked up some pics, and I think it`s a really attractive plane, especially for a kit (:
There`s one painted like a Spitfire on Aircraft Exchange (2022 VANS RV-8), looks real nice 😎
your videos are like a pleasant breeze, keep it up!
Great video Keep up the good work Enjoy watching you
Seagull never seems to get an arf right, even after all these years there are always issues. The only way I’d fly one again is if they gave it to me like they do for you.
It's fun to watch you build every time. I'm wondering about clamping the wire locks, I usually go through the clamping lock once more before I clamp these together. Have you experienced that this has slipped afterwards when you only go through it once?
I used to do that as well, but I've so far never had the once-through slip.
Nice !😊😊😊😊Happy New Year!🎉🎉
Love your build videos! What is the brand of the screwdriver tool that you use the electric one?
Can you post a link to the fuel breather you used?
Nice!
Hey Fitz, where did you get the cool little disc sander that you use to square up stuff. I can't find anything like it.
Not sure what you are talking about. You have a time slice?
@@HobbyView It may not even be in this video, but I a pretty sure I have seen you use like a 3 or 4 inch bench top disc sander at some point
How did you get the led flasher unit to work? I got one but won’t flash the lights. Have you got a diagram?
No diagram, but be careful that you use the correct input wires. Easy to confuse the input from the output.
@@HobbyView I have these correct, red/black wires to battery. Battery to module, module yellow/black to led. No flashing I don’t know why
@@simonpallone7888 , Did you try another module, that one may be damaged. Also, did you open it up and try flipping a switch or two?
Fitz!! Love your build videos! What is the brand of the screwdriver tool that you use the electric one?

Do you mind if I can I ask where do you fly your planes? Is that a So Cal field? I fly out of Castaic Lake in CA. Canyon Crosswinds.
Awesome looking plane! I wonder how the performance of this plane compares to the Flex Rv8 60E foamy.
We'll see. I had some fun with the radio programming which I'll talk about in the flight review video.
Where can i get the smoke injectors from?
I got mine from Legend Hobby.

it is not clear whether the structure of the main wing is 'normal'. specifically, the wing should have a load bearing main spar that spans the width of the fuselage, located at thirty percent of chord. i know there was a spar. but, how far did it extend into the wing halves.
I've not heard of any issues with wing spars on models from this company.
Looking forward to your maiden flight…☺👍
Looks like a great sport model. Good alternative to a stick or 3D plane.
Where did you get the nice spinner? TruTurn quit making thiers.
@petercyr3508 , I think it's actually an old Tru-turn i had laying around.
I notice that, judging by the box, it's not an Old Crow, it's an Old Grow 😮. Hmmm... 😂
Imagine the look on a draftees face if you were to tell them that in the future, you would be buying toy airplanes from the enemy after losing a 10 year war.
Ok whats the real cg point
High-tech servos are a total crap
If a board inside one servo fail, it will paralyze all system on plane and it doomed,
What’s a better alternative? As I’m new to building these toys. Thanks
@Hype_RC better are the spectrum metal gear digital standard, this are the best option for all I know,
Futaba are too expensive, savox lost their quality, they are failing more often
And high-tech are obsolete and have a dangerous feature, that fucking the hall receiver system down....
And think about that, if you're plane will lost , and hit someone or continue straight into a house or somewhere and will hurt or kill someone, you're done...
Go for spectrum metal geard digital standard servos, they are excellent and accurate...
I build my planes for 35 years...
@ that’s good to know some history. I love hearing people’s experiences. I’m new to the hobby since 2021 and have over 40 foam planes. I’ve used agfrc servos in many of my taileron setups and have some 32082S HS -82 hi tec servos and have really enjoyed them so far. I’ve had quite a few factory servos fail especially on my Spektrum eflite series planes. A half dozen fms metal gear ones. But most have either been bad from the maiden or after 70 plus flights. Only lost one plane in flight and it was an Eflite t-28. But I didn’t do the preflight checks I do now. But I’m doing my first Balsa plane and that’s an entirely new thing. I really appreciate your input. I’m not trying to loose. A beautiful balsa plane!
@Hype_RC foam was not exist at my time, it was,al nitro and balsa, a pure rc....
@ lol pure RC! I remember turning my RC 10 into a nitro buggy in the 80’s . I still love the smell of 10% when I smell it. But I remember the airplane guys always playing with their wood during the winter months lol. Now this hobby is so much easier to get into. Folks don’t need to be retired to enjoy it anymore. I’m glad because it’s loosing the battle against real estate expansion and liability insurance. And we need all the new money we can to keep things going or it’s only going to be a past time for folks in the vast expanse that may not sustain itself.
