1:04:17 Custom chart increments. Awesome. Ie, the turkey shoot ranges with the 410 TSS y'all were discussing. Discussing 40 yard ranges. And clearly with archery, ranges that matter in 10 yard/meter increments, out to 40/60/100 yards... If, ballistic terminal performance is maintained.
Love the App, can we please add the Fury AB to the devices that can connect. Would love to be able to range multiple targets with the Fury and build a range card in the app on the fly. It would be great for competitive events so we have our dope card after we have scanned and ranged our target array while on the clock. This will save time from having to write the AB info we get from the fury after every range.
Perhaps I missed it, but does GB offer a section where you can select your specific scope? Then display the reticle with the distances overlayed on top? Ala a competitors app from another forbidden land?
1:10:22 Ryan. Advice if you have the Pro level. Multiple. Rifle. Profiles. So.create your rifle. Profile. Then copy it, and experiment with test profiles, knowing that you have your reliable. Profile established and saved. Great way to consider making changes to the rifle/bullet pairing. Or for Ryan Muck, for his custom load outs, Or, for any of us, considering bullet selection. For the application.
1:01:45 I have a question. Does GB work well with archery/crossbows ballistics? For Bow or Xbow accuracy? Most of the math sounds nearly the same. Velocity at launch. Grains for projectile. Distance. Shot angle. Etc etc etc. Ballistic Coefficients Are clearly different, with shaft length and such. But... Archery Geo Ballistics?
52:48 The combination, of allowing a spotter, with perhaps the razor range finder GB. Spottiing, pinning, and updating for the rifle partner... Who can then just reference the E Card.
went to install on my android: "Geoballistics collects location data... even when the app is closed or not in use" that's pretty unacceptable. i don't need the extra battery drain and privacy concerns. can you provide a defense for why my ballistics app needs to know where i am at all times?
Does Geo Ballistics have shotgun solutions? Just watched some of your shotgun episodes, And the versatility of the load outs, perhaps even more than some of the 308 or. 30-06 versatility... Except perhaps for longer ranges... Of course... But one rifle/shotgun, firing very different ammunition options depending on target..
i don't recall hearing height-over-bore mentioned, just zero distance. is that a factor you can enter in this app? *Edited to add that it does, you can see it as an option when they are setting up Mark's rifle info
Height over bore is used in several other programs. Changing the height over bore in these other programs changes the data significantly. I can't see how they can leave this out of their program.
Do you have to have pro version to link with impact 4000? Mine won’t link and a buddy tried his app and that wouldn’t link either. Neither of us have the pro version.
you guys are doing a great job of showing what it will do BUT!!! you are not showing how to do it which buttons to push to get this menu or add this or that Please... everyone is not a phone geru.... thanks
Too bad you guys couldn't get the creator of the app on the show. He was Max Ordinate's podcast and his story is pretty amazing start from a hunter with a need for shooting solutions.
Why does Geobalisitics give very different solutions to say something like 4 DOF on angled shots? I haven’t had an opportunity to shoot a 15+* shot to see which is closer. But they are miles apart
Tried it far too many screens to enter ballistic data and you have to enter a new range every time you want a new comeup . A range card built from the JBM site on your stock would be better than this . If you are going to design a ballistic app you need code programmers and real shooters to calibrate so the options and interface is good .
@@camonly849 Charts are no good to me too hard to see and no on the fly range and wind changes . The best free ballistic app I have found as far as quick solution changes while your at the actual gun is Ballistic AE's HUD display . It's got limitations like all free apps but the HUD display is very quick useful and easy to see . See if they delete this comment .
excellent podcast.....very informative to me....new guy to longer range fun. Just added a Gen3 5-36X56 and have been looking into rangefinders......
So helpful! Thank you!

Would really like to see a reticle view which shows you exactly where the aim point is on your reticle.
That is a great feature in Strelok
Started using this app based off of this podcast. What is the recommended way to provide feedback on the app?

It would be great if this podcast was distilled down to a concise tutorial on the app.
Can you say what you are using to get your shooting solution? Is it a basic BC solver or something more complex like 4DOF or AB?

Jim you should look into 338 Razorback if your looking for an SBR. It's a really unique cartridge

When using the map and placing pins the solution isn’t displayed at the bottom of the screen. iPhone16. 😢
What am I doing wrong?🙏
is it possible to put in the data from you zeroing situation, like airpressure, temprature, etc. so it calculates from there?

No it does not. That one thing I hope gets added with Vortex purchasing it and infusing R&D money into it.

12:50 it shows height over bore is an option.

If you have impact 4000. They said it free for you.
Maybe I missed it (I listen while driving to and from work) but how so you change the settings from MRAD to MOA?
You change it on the rifle profile. Yea that suck but that’s the only way.
I couldn't get my Kestrel 5700 elite to connect to the app? Anyone know the reason?

I wish there was an option to enter a zip code to get online environmentals from somewhere other than nearby me
We need rangefinder binos that work with the app
Wind and angle need to be revamped
Need that new rangefinder
Can I use METRIC units, including MIL ???
Yes, they are showing it in mrad in the video.

Hit the chart button and it tells you all your come ups on all the increments you set. Easy.
