When a band has songs like "Waterfront". I Travel". "This Fear of Gods". "Celebrate". "The American". "New Gold Dream". "Promised you a Miracle". "Alive and Kicking". "Belfast Child". "Hunter and the Hunted"." Book of Brilliant Things". "See the Lights". " She's a River". "Hypnotised". "Blindfolded"." Broken Glass Park". "Summer". "The Signal and the Noise". "Vision Thing". "Solstice Kiss". And many others. I know, I am watching and listening to my favourite band.❤❤❤. Great footage, marky. Thanks
I love the album big music it's top notch.theyve left their contemporaries like U2,DURAN, ECHO A T BUNNYMEN, AND MORE WAY BEHIND THEIR THE ONLY ONES STILL MAKIN BRILLIANT MUSIC TODAY
Cherise feels every note it's so evident ❤ Their New Gold Dream at Paisley Abbey was just astounding. Production wise it was immense. Hearing Colours Fly and Big Sleep was beautiful.❤
What a joy to see an 80´s band delivering and enjoying, passion for the music rather than most others just touring for the money and under performing. Hat off !
To bad the extremely talented Bernice Scott is off promoting her own new album. She was one of the shining stars in this compilation of sessions musicians. Her version of Speed Your Love To Me was one of Simple Minds' highlights in recent memory.
can u imagine U2 touring without adam and Larry this version of SM had less than half a engine no Derek Forbes the dan man no Mick no Mel or no Brian = no SM
Always the same old moans. Mick & Forbes left decades ago ,Cherisse is an amazing drummer for the retired Mel. Bands have to evolve & SM have done that. If you don’t like the 2024 version then don’t listen.
I have to agree. Simple Minds used to a powerhouse. They are not what they used to be. Reading up they chopped and changed the band alot. I saw them in '89 and was blown away. They have so many great songs and it's great to still see them out. Same as plenty of older bands not what they once were cool to hear some epic old 80's tunes live though.
Hey … have you heard Mel’s new single “Run” .. it’s pretty good (kinda country/keltic sound with pop mixed in) … who knew the dude could sing? Drumming is missed in the Minds tho
I wish Jim Kerr could realise how annoying that stupid noise is that he keeps doing (2 min 35 sec). He did it throughout the last concerts I watched live and ruined them. It makes me never want to buy more tickets. Please stop doing it Jim 🙏
Jim, Charlie - we've paid big money to see the band in your home city in a couple of months from now. This is pretty uninspiring to say the least. Where is Berenice on the ivories, your bass player looks like he'd rather be at home. C'mon fellas - bring Glasgow alive when you get here!
Thinking they were just jet lagged still. Ged is the band's longest serving bass player and extremely dedicated. Gonna take a few shows to get it in sync. I've just accepted Simple Minds is Jim and Charlie and whoever is working on the music with them. Was gutted when Derek then Mick left. Really liked the 5x5 Live and Big Music lineup and wanted to see that develop but it "wasnae" to be. Solstice Kiss sounds fantastic.
Don't know what you were watching but 'the bass player' as you put it looks pretty happy to me. He has a name - Ged Grimes and has been with the band since 2010. As for Berenice - keep up!
Living in Scotland this band back in the 80s were producing the very best of sound I’m age’s with them now and they still are delivering a sound that is unique but so brilliant in class

Thanks for All music from you
What a band Jim and Charlie absolutely fantastic best band I've ever seen live ❤❤🙏🙏
Being of a similar age to Jim I am envious of his ability to still crouch down that low.😊
i can crouch down low like that..just can't get back up.
@@TheStevehow Yeah I’d need a winch😄

Totally agree apart from leaving U2 behind, I cannot wait for the Hydro gigs tho.
Saw them in Edinburgh last summer. Awesome band.
Awesome Day out!

Love Song ❤❤❤❤❤
Epic 👌✊
I've always loved how The Simple Minds encourages and promotes new talent.
Solstice Kiss sounds every bit as incredible as I hoped it would.
Thanks for posting! Seeing them on the 17th… they are sounding amazing!
Band are looking good and having a good time
Really enjoyable footage that made me feel like I was there .
Hope to see the band when they play Margate , England this summer
So Long way they came from Scotland at their best on stage to prove music by them succsesfully must say Bravissimo ☆☆☆☆☆
drumwoman...........fantastic
Great on the spot sound n vision
Still belting it out all those yrs later...amazing
I'm 60 and grow up with this songs like this. come on , come to germany. I don't need mega light shows. Just the music makes me happy
Cherisse admirally filling Mel's shoes! Great playing ❤
She’s a size two trying to fit into a size thirteen … doesn’t quite fit? 😢
Not even close. She’s decent but no Mel Gaynor.
Mel had his time. Now she's having hers! 😍🥁
Cherise feels every note it's so evident ❤
Their New Gold Dream at Paisley Abbey was just astounding.
Production wise it was immense.
Hearing Colours Fly and Big Sleep was beautiful.❤
@@welshlad6427 Drop the comparisons and move on, and be grateful that fresh blood is driving the band.
Great Band!!!! What an awesome crowd!!!! :~)
Thank you. Well done to the maker of this, closest I've seen.
Great Video amazing sound !!!
Thanks for Alive and Kicking - it wasn't played at Hamilton because of the early finish due to the weather.
Amazing band. Still very good
Let it all come down ❤❤❤😮😮😮❤❤❤
the 80s were one of the best decades
The best
Hands down!

@@MizzesB yes, he used to play with A-ha, and Morten Harket solo
Brilliant!
Big music set list
Love Song & a few others, wasn't on Big Music
Quero ver essa banda magnífica aqui em São Paulo, Brasil.

wow he brings out the rocker in everyone in the crowd
Great venue
Who is playing the bass on waterfront, as the bass player wasn't playing when it started ??????
The backing track
How much more of it is on tape ?
If there's no live Berenice (and her solo on Hunter & the hunted), this 2024 tour I'll miss.
Where is Berenice?
@@nylhood Who cares she's shit.
Your loss
Hunter and the hunted 🌹
Having the Sparks opening / intro track reminded me that The Darkness come on stage to
“ Arrival “ by ABBA .
👍👍👍
I travel ❤❤❤❤❤
Vogliamo Mick, Derek e Mel ❤
Let it all come down. What a great song. Street fighting years its a bit underated in my opinion. A masterpiece.
I wish they played Seeing out the Angel from Sons And Fascination the most haunting and Atmospheric song they did apart from Hunter And The Hunted.

Yep, you can never hear what he's playing, just poses around
They should be playing in Las Vegas
Feel like throwing all me minds vynal in the skip after this knackers, its not there best!
Reel to Reel Cacophony!!
Ronald Villiers rocks out.
Happy to have seen the SM in 1986. Now is just a pale remembrance. What a pity...
SPARKS!!!! SO MAY WE START
To bad the extremely talented Bernice Scott is off promoting her own new album. She was one of the shining stars in this compilation of sessions musicians. Her version of Speed Your Love To Me was one of Simple Minds' highlights in recent memory.
Did they need the big school clocks in the stage wings?
At 1.47 the bass line cuts in - The bass player never plays it after too 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
And what about berenice Scott???
Who's the guy on the keyboards ?
They were so brilliant. A long time ago. Now crap!
Why do I hear Sparks?
Never the same after Derek Forbes left , its just the Jim and Charlie show now
The female singer dressed in black is the same backing singer they had in the 80's?
No
No that was Robin Clarke.
No hay komo .el batero original de la banda.era seco.
Only in NZ
What do you mean by this?
Holy fu@kballz when did Jim Kerr become such a hot daddy bear? 🥵🥵🥵
I notice that they’ve got yet another new keyboard player . What happened to the blonde girl from their past couple of albums .
He is Erik Ljunggren, used to play with A-ha and also Morten Harket solo
whats that yellow thing in the sky !!!!! lol ☀️
cherisse sossei druns arrebenta
can u imagine U2 touring without adam and Larry this version of SM had less than half a engine no Derek Forbes the dan man no Mick no Mel or no Brian = no SM
U2 currently performing as U2 without Larry
U2’s last album Songs of Surrender was 99% just Bono & The Edge
Always the same old moans. Mick & Forbes left decades ago ,Cherisse is an amazing drummer for the retired Mel. Bands have to evolve & SM have done that. If you don’t like the 2024 version then don’t listen.

makes me sad..........
was free to the audience ?
Where is Mel Gaynor these days
Who's on keyboards now?
I appreciate the effort but you lost me when you cut off midway through the songs and then restart sometime later.
lol
2 original members, 5 non original members. No SM for me anymore! They are shit these days
Hey … have you heard Mel’s new single “Run” .. it’s pretty good (kinda country/keltic sound with pop mixed in) … who knew the dude could sing? Drumming is missed in the Minds tho
SM is Jim and Charlie thats the spirit the rest of the members are hired musicians
Flogging a dead horse sad to see 😢😢😢
Is this the real simple minds or a Kareoke version. A shadow of what they were.
y siguen subiendo videos grabados anda a saber con que el audio es un asco
I wish Jim Kerr could realise how annoying that stupid noise is that he keeps doing (2 min 35 sec). He did it throughout the last concerts I watched live and ruined them. It makes me never want to buy more tickets. Please stop doing it Jim 🙏
