LORD STONES Walk - North York Moors Hidden Gem

  • A hidden gem of a walk to the Three Lords Stone, locally named Lord Stone or Lords Seat, on the North York Moors. The walk is a 3 mile loop, starting from the Lord Stones Country Park, where there is free parking and an excellent outside and inside café. You can take the direct route straight up, flowing the Cleveland Way or, as I did, follow the instructions on the County Park website and circular around the base of Lords Seat, which sits on Cringle Moor and then take a more gentle assent to the top of Cringle Moor and walk along the ridge line to Lords Seat, making a very enjoyable 3 mile loop.

Bee attack! 🐝 eek 😬 happy Sunday Alan great tip from Dee,ove her channel! 👏
Again another stunning location and walk in, and picture perfect day for it 👌 😀 tranquil indeed 🥰
Looks like an ideal family walk, an the instructions seemed almost full proof! 🗺🧭
Highly recommend Dee and Northern Chubby Gurl Adventures, cracking channel and people! 🔔 💥
Loved that it was so peaceful, no one around! Only that bee, maybe he was a fan!? 🥰🤗
We always bag any suspicious highpoint too lol, just incase! 🤭
Thanks for taking us along Alan, an absolute treat 🌞 more sum indeed!
The newly named Alan's seat looked ace, cracking views, good bit of swooping! Gen Explorers, Nick and Gil are absolute diamonds too, you are a good egg! 💎

I would like to think it was a fan but did not fancy taking the chance, may have been a Tea in Valhalla fan instead lol. Apart from the bee I think I only saw 3 people all morning and was the first car in the car park, so a good day and a real quiet walk, more exploring there needed. Thank you so much for watching, always appreciate it, cheers Alan

That was a nice hike Alan. It is always nice to hear that hikes were inspired by other RUclips channel videos. That was a great view from that high point. Well done on your hike. I laughed when you were swatting the bugs. It is so annoying when we have to deal with the mosquitos in the early summer. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure. Have a great day.

Loved it. The little chunk of pines before you got to the open area was nice. Reminds me of some Places around here. Beautiful panoramic shots from out there as you were ascending. Very sunny day, but weird about the fog or pollution. The seat gives you a really nice view. Lol about your swoop haha and the bees...

Yes it was pollution, we had about 3 sunny days in a row without a breath of wind, which trapped it above us, which was a shame. I would like to think that bee was a fan but I did not chance it lol. Thanks very much for watching, appreciate it, cheers Alan

I know that area very well Alan (there is a small grouse shoot on that moor, cringle and the one adjacent cold-moor) have worked up there over the last 10yrs.............A beautiful area, especially in weather like that mate, that cafe is in a cracking location. The ''pollution'' has been visible since ICI first established a chemical plant way back in the 1920's on Teesside and then further development in the 50's, along with the Steel industry(you'll probably know all this) hence the term ''smoggies'' , although its now a shadow of its former self the industry has left its legacy behind..........and you are right the high-pressure makes it seem a lot worse.............cracking walk Alan.........enjoyed your bee-attack ha,ha,ha..........ATB.......Stu/Wendy...👍
