- Eliud Kipchoge just won the Berlin Marathon 2023, which means he has won the BMW marathon for the fifth, time, that's a world record. We didn't saw a world record or a sub two hour marathon on it's own though. But that didn't make the marathon less exciting!

What's crazy is the guy running beside him tried to keep kipchoge's pace and absolutely bonked.
He did so well until he couldn’t anymore… hopefully we get to see more of him. Maybe he will be the guy to break Kipchoges record
One.of the reasons tht made eliud seem like he has ran along way alone it's his pace setting time frame.. running each 5km wthin 2.5mins was a high speed for this guys to keep up with..
Guy's PB was 2.08 and he was on a 2.01 pace and with a guy who's PB is 2.01.
Fuel wad sure to run out before the race was over.
Like most other goats in other events his dominance came at a time of many gifted marathoners.. the competition was tight and he stood out as the best among the best.

Can he remain the top marathoner? It looks like he's reached his prime, and there are some FAST guys knocking at the door.
There is not much time between Kipchoge and some other really great runners.

Signs of decline are evident. To have stayed at the top this long at his age is truly remarkable. Truly remarkable. We are blessed to to still have the GOAT 🐐 performing at this level at his age. Younger runners will take over, it’s inevitable.
One more or 2 more years he can run , he is unique , he is mentally far better than young runners and old runners ..he is well equipped with knowledge …young runners specially Ethiopians are crazy hungry , they take hat ever they get along the way ..

I understand, I´m sorry but It´s hard already to edit a two hour marathon down to five minutes. I worked 6 hours on this and had to decide beforehand if I would do women or men. Tomorrow I might make a video about the women😉.

I do not want to hear that world records. They are all bogus in that every world record has been paced. How about running a world record time on your own without the aid of pacers?

The same pace makers if you are not good enough they will leave you behind and remember they swap the pace makers with fresh ones at some point.
