When every second counts, you gotta have the best of everything. 25 years of experience is a hell lot of practice. Claus understands what it is to be part of history.
I wonder about that bottle exchange when the pacer reached for it. I thought the pacer might have been needing a refreshment, I hope he got it. Every piece for a strategy ideally has to be in place, and if the pacer is not refreshed enough then he'll fade sooner so he could lead less for Eliud. Claus is a big inspiration also besides Kipchoge
Why am I sitting here ugly crying?!? OVER A GUY HANDING A RUNNER A BOTTLE?!!? Oh yeah because he's basically pure happiness and joy and encouragement and passion put into human form. LONG LIVE BOTTLE CLAUS
There's no way eliud doesn't get a little pumped up when he sees his water guy all happy like that rooting for him. Best of the best in every categorie for eliud, better go fast!
Today, I learned that there is a first time for everything; including bawling your eyes out over a video of a German man handing out bottles. Absolute legend.
This is a great behind the scenes story. And with all the craziness, hatred and division in the world it is great to see two men from totally different backgrounds take care of their business and have such joy in doing it. Big time kudos to Bottle Claus for showing such enthusiasm for handing off a bottle of water.
Not at all. He could only be German the way he acts. There is no way he could be from another country. I can say this being raised in a few different European countries.
@@EGL24Xx Its really not. Kipchoge did the marathon in 2:01:09 at an average pace of 33/kph. A quote from bottle Claus himself “Then you have to rush to your bike and sprint to the next water station 5km away, passing all kinds of lead trucks and bikes, meaning you have to ride about 40 km [per] hour and then start the same procedure over again. Why don't you try and bike at 40/mph for 2 hours
@jacobbailey2950 did you fail math or are you just saying random numbers. Kipchoge ran an average speed of 21 km/h. Unless you really think he decided to run an extra half marathon+ just for fun. You bike for 40 km/h for two hours, you will overshoot the finish line by about an entire marathon. If I have to ride 40 km/h for 7 minutes at a time, waiting 7 minutes to start again, that's going to be very easy.
Wow, this just pretty much rocketed to the top of my list of favorite RUclips videos ever! I laughed, I cried, I loved it! What a wonderful personality! Fantastic work, both Bottle Claus and the producers of this video! Thank you so much!
I love this beautiful, feel good story!!! A great connection between a man who wants to help and another who is grateful for his help. Such passion and joy!
Eliud is so soft spoken and a man of very few words but big action. Very humble. Our Kenyan G.O.A.T amd was genuinely happy to meet bottle Klaus for the 1st time in 4yrs. Awesome
Absolutely loved this video! What a great story. If you consider kipchoge had problems in Boston after missing a bottle then you can understand how and why Claude celebrates every successful handoff.
I am a Berlin Marathon volunteer and it is an honour for us to support every single participant. Claus is our best role model and hero for passion and love of the sport ❤
Oh this guy was just awesome handing our legend the water. God bless you man. As for Eliud, everytime I watch this tears just come to my eyes. Thank you for inspiring generations and thank you for the discipline and humility that catapulted you to become the goat of world marathon. These videos are simply timeless. We can watch and rewatch and they're new each time😁
the impact and wisdom I learned from this video is insane. It just captures so beautifully how any person with passion, can make there job and what they do look like an art in the most extraordinary sense. What a beautiful soul!
I absolutely love the passion and joy "Bottle Claus" has for Eliud Kipchoge and with how much emotions he does his bottle-service! Imagine being greeted with such thrill, we would all be able to excell in what we are doing! Watching these great humans cooperating: chills and tears of joy! 💪🏽💪🏿👑❤☀️😍

Aaaaah- Come back bottle Claus. Where were you for Boston 2023? Kipchoge missed picking up his water then took 6th in the marathon. We needed this lovely pairing :)
Great video, to see the coordination that goes into this is amazing. Bottle claus had to be on his game too and and knows just handing off a bottle does help his runner. Just a feel good video and wish more people were genuinely this positive and cheerful to each other. But the running community are most encouraging and positive people I’ve ever been around.

I am a pretty big kipchoge fan myself i get it. You just dont understand. How dedecated Kipchoge is.
In all honesty, I have never seen such a boisterous German. His energy and dedication is admiringly awesome. Wish him great health.
And he is a North German to boot!
We must have stolen him from a foreign tribe.
i thought the exact same thing.
@@messi9991 Are Germans from the north more reserved?
@@MtbEMS definitely
Pure passion and emotion what a guy.

Even at the Airport 😂😂😂

@@heneedsomemilk2877 Yes, but it matters a lot how long they can pace.
True. He understood the assignment 🙂
Kipchoge deserves to have the best people. SuperHuman runner and just the calmest, most easy going guy.

Bottle Clause goes over and above all German stereotypes. Love his energy!!!
That’s just like hitler lol

Even cycling at or above Kipchoge's running pace is seriously hard work. Bottle Claus is a strong dude.
Loads of accelerations as well! Big effort for him too
Then waiting with the bottle in advance, tremendous!
On a road bike like that? No, it's basically a walk in the park, especially because the course is very flat.
