Primal is just really getting a lot of love. His mainline Voyager was easily one of the best mainline figures, now this and his upcoming SS version looks like one of the best SS figures. Not to mention the really great yolo part figure. I guess Hasbro must really like this guy 🤷♂️
I think this primal should be used as a temporary Apelinq depending on if he scales with the SS, or if you pretend the mainline Maximals are younger versions from the opening.
I like the original design and figure the most, but I have to admit that this guy is pretty cool. His new design in the movie is much more realistic rather than the cheesy 90’s design which I’m still a little mixed on. He has good articulation and is accurate to the movie. For those who are looking for more realistic rather than toy looking transformers, I think it’s a must buy.

There absolutely needs to be more of stuff like the alternating mask face with future Optimus Prime figures, it doesnt seem to hard to do either unless its like a voyager figure

I was pushing and pushing to get his back to meet his chest when converting from robot to beast until I saw that small snap of robot head into the center of his abdomen and bam, the fit! Thanks for that awesome walk through transformation!!

Why are they back putting different versions of same figures like before the merge? I always bought and thought Takara Tomy versions/products to be far superior.

Just received my primal today. I am used to collecting masterpieces but this figure has such a great build and feels nice and solid and looks great for such a reasonable price that I wish I could find this type of quality TF more often.....Very pleased. I will be getting another one for alt mode.

Hasbro could learn something from takara on how to do mainline gimmick toys instead of giving us a bunch of upscaled legends class and happy meal toys,this thing is mainline in function but almost studio series in detail; Hasbro definitely needs to bring back mainline leader class.
A great throwback to the original Beast Wars Primal with all the fun gimmicks. You should do a Top RotB Primal Robot Modes and Beast Modes video once the SS is out.
The only things I don't like is the gorilla head cut in half and hollow and that the holes for the weaponizer protrude so much from the arms but it doesn't prevent you from enjoying the figure at all, it's incredible
I would have easily picked this over the SS version but I think all those ports absolutely ruined this figure for me. I love the black, the switching faces of facemask/no facemask, the throw back weapons to OG Optimus Beast Wars with the hand cannons and backpack missles but those ports man. It's like they created this beautiful, sleek, topnotch figure then they decided to put in a bunch of gloryholes in it.
While I do think I prefer the look of the SS figure I gotta say this looks epic. Love how he has gimmicks without sacrificing the articulation. Cheaper than I thought too.
Such a weird outlier. In terms of scale at least. The SS version will fit in with other figures but this guy likely won't have a Cheetor, Rhinox or Airazor to complete the beast cast from the film. This SHOULD become a standard but I fear it'll just be a "remember that one time we got a Masterpiece-lite Primal?"
