A bit of an unfair comparison TBH, Not everyone owns an exotic pet such as a Burmese python and there are very few who do, but there's estimated to be around 89 millions dogs in the US alone, Of course there's gonna be few attacks from rabid, untrained and violent dogs. I won't disagree with what you said about pythons causing less death but the thing is, most people can handle an angry dog and it's bite but I don't think many can handle getting constricted and swallowed whole by a python, sure it's less likely but being attacked by a python or any large snake is far more dangerous than being attacked by a random dog (except the rabid ones, those are an exception)
i recommend watching snake discovery on youtube. i know a lot of people who watched her videos and slowly started to be less scared. my snakes are absolutely wonderful and i hope everybody can see how great pet snakes can be :)

@@joelspring6201 oh i get having phobias. i have claustrophobia and thalassophobia. snake discovery is very educational based. there are even baby snakes and turtles hatching on the channel. baby snakes are very cute and so helpful for trying to get over a fear.
Green and yellow Burmese pythons have temperaments, not saying they are bad but they don't make the greatest of pets because they can be volatile and bite randomly. I'd recommend possiblity a garter snake or a hognose

Just as capable of killing you though. Their generally pretty gentle and even tempered but I don't think I'd want to interact with a larger one by myself, just in case

As a general rule of thumb for snakes if they know they can’t eat you they will not try and in order for a snake to eat you it would need to be truly massive (we’re talking 20+ feet long). The only way for a snake of this size to kill you is if it were to accidentally strangle you if you let it wrap around your neck, which if you’re used to keeping large constrictors you’re going to avoid. You are far more likely to be killed by a dog than a constrictor.

Your pet snakes are the cutest! They dont look scary like some snakes. The pythons arent venomous, just large. As long as you dont let him squeeze you, should be okay! Lolol His face is very loveable. Those cute cheeks lolol!! Heres a kiss 😘 just for him, or her if its a girl. 😊 Iam only fearful of poisonous snakes lol Some kind of little snake got in our house while the tile guy was putting in new flooring, and he came downstairs to the lower level kitchen to use the coffee maker lol 😂 and he spent hours outside cutting tiles, and that little snake showed up on the floor near right where the tile guy walked. Iam thinking it probably fell off his jeans and came in on his clothes most likely. I dont know what it was since I dont know a thing about snakes 😂 I just knew he was very scared and needed help getting back outside. I carefully picked him up and carried him out the backdoor and carefully placed him back in the grass out in our yard. That poor frightened little thing! I bet he was happy to get back outdoors. 😇

As somebody who has a major phobia towards snakes, I must say this Python is kind of cute and I never thought I would say that about a snake.
