When I was a kid my friends and I found a six foot blacksnake that had been injured in a fight. Probably with a raccoon. We took him home and cleaned up his wounds. Nursed him back to health. We had him for about three months before he was well enough to set free. He was great. Never hurt a fly and would gladly ride on my shoulders all day.
Such an adorable cutie. I am so happy that you and she are so good together. My brother had has lots of snakes, I have not, but I know how they can indeed get to love a person and its actually a cool thing to happen.
Can't believe I'm gonna say this, being someone who is afraid of snakes...but DAGGUMIT!! THAT IS A CUTE SNAKE!! Especially the PUFFS!! Lesson learned...Be open to NEW THINGS!! 😁😁😁
I wish people would do a little research.. they are very cool animals but they don't like to be out and handled all day. The exhale of air signifys stress and means they are ready to go back to the enclosure. (Assuming it's not a respiratory infection, as it doesn't sound like one)They are ground dwelling snakes that live in burrows, "a hiding ball is a happy ball" beautiful blue eyed lucy though :)
Ball pythons actually love attention and handling and no it is not an infection , it is merely like she said , a sign of curiosity or a greeting my ball python can’t wait to come out and won’t go back even after hours of play and he loves to hug at me and sometimes if I huff he’ll huff back. So please do Your research or ask an owner of the pet before you make assumptions based on the internet , as it not always correct
What type of snake is she. Yes you can see she is affectionate towards you. So lovely to see how she interacts with you. She knows you love her. It's wonderful to see and you are right I never thought there would be such a wonderful connection but she knows you love her. May God keep you and your dear snake safe.❤
Same for any animal. However if the animal is highly empathetic, it can actually be a mimicry response to connect to the owners life and interests much like how babies and children try to mimic what they see us doing, animals do this too. Seriously. If you have an animal that likes sitting on your computer/laptop, get them a fake one to lay on next to you. If they choose the one with heat, it's the heat, if they chose the fake one, it's mimcry. Some guy did this with his cat and found the cat often chose the fake laptop so that it could be apart of what he was doing. Either way though, it takes trust for any beast to want to be out and around you regardless if the reason is heat seeking, they still trust you won't eat or harm them and they respond in kind.
Vixx Celacea There is another explanation that is more straightforward. When you’re on your computer, you’re not paying attention to your pet. So they may come to get some attention. If they stand on the side they don’t get a lot, but if they stand on the keyboard, most people you pick them up and put then down somewhere else and then stroke them or speak to them. So they actually got what they wanted from standing on the keyboard.
Dizzz127 yeah snakes have no emotions like other types of animals and humans. There’s a reason why they call people snakes. Snakes only feel primordial feelings necessary for survival. The snake tolerates the owner at best. Uses her for heat at worst. Not to mention he associates patterns when they get food. So they see the owner as a provider for food so they develop that connection. Everyone is different but I’d rather get a pray mantis then a snake just cuz I know snakes will never truly feel emotion or true affection to their owner. It’s not a bad thing at all. It’s simply how they are. Nature is a beautiful thing
What a great name for this darling creature. She's lucky to have such a good mom! Snakes are far more scared of people than we are of them. This snake is chill because her mom is, she's had to learn to trust. I hope their story can put love in hearts where before there was fear.
Ok hold on- - "Its gonna grow big to eat her whole" - Royal (or ball) pythons don't get very big, or at least big enough to eat a human -"She defanged the python" - No, pythons don't have fangs, they are constrictors, they kill their prey by slowly squeezing it to death - " Is she venomous" - As I said in the last question, no - "she has no teeth" - they have tiny teeth that curve to the back I hoped this answered y'alls questions
Ball pythons do actually puff sometimes! Though it's not because they're excited, they do it when they're stressed. But yes, if you can hear the snake breathing it probably has RI
I was wondering why would it be so "affectionate" or cuddly, and I think I figured it out with your coment. Maybe because Opal spends too much time outside of her enclosure, she gets too cold, therefore, she rushes to the first warm thing, that may be her human, or its computer. It would make sense that she has a respiratory infection if she spends too much time out in the cold, right?
@@dianah4016 maybe, I wonder if she has a thing to help warm her in her enclosure like a heat pad or something instead of just relying on a human or computer for heat
Its not even just simple love. A lot of reptiles imprint on their owners, know their smell, warmth, heartbeat, voice, etc. Even if it isnt love there is care there!
It depends. They don't bite for no reason, the owner must've done something such as maybe smelled of something they would eat such as mice or rats or it could've been threatened. There is always a reason
I love snakes always have always will, but also respect them and know to stay away when told to. This snakes is just adorable and so sweet, my first time seeing a snake in person was when a classmates dad showed one off as a show and tell I was 10 we were asked if we wanted to touch I didn’t hesitate.
All snakes are cute in my book, snakes are something that people shouldn't really hate or fear, they should be respected and loved, it's a shame how many snakes get killed each year in someone's backyard
@@reptiguy1645 snakes with venom are feared. But many ppl think all snakes are dangerous. Even the bite of a ballpython is a joke. There is nothing to fear from these peaceful animals.
@@davidamajako961 I know that, I'm just saying that these reptiles need to be respected more, and that people who hate or have a phobia of snakes need to get over that and like snakes more, I hate that there's always a venomous or non venomous snake in someone's yard that always gets killed or like something where someone hates snakes because of a bite or something that was caused because the person either scared or stressed out the snake
My cornie does a similar behaviour of coming over and saying hi when she’s crawling around in the terrarium, though I could never just let her crawl about freely outside of it 😂 She’s very insistent on being in places she’s not supposed to be(such as inside my PC at one point) instead of sitting and chilling out. the puffs could be a respiratory infection, so, not cute

My guess is the snake is attracted to heat that’s why she loves being on the owner and on top of the laptop. 🐍 ☀️
Exactly! It looks like for someone that have a Python, she doesnt know much about snakes!
@@jr8573 That's rubbish. Archaic way of thinking. We know a lot more than that now.
What a great name for this darling creature. She's lucky to have such a good mom! Snakes are far more scared of people than we are of them. This snake is chill because her mom is, she's had to learn to trust. I hope their story can put love in hearts where before there was fear.
Ok hold on-
- "Its gonna grow big to eat her whole"
- Royal (or ball) pythons don't get very big, or at least big enough to eat a human
-"She defanged the python"
- No, pythons don't have fangs, they are constrictors, they kill their prey by slowly squeezing it to death
- " Is she venomous"
- As I said in the last question, no
- "she has no teeth"
- they have tiny teeth that curve to the back
I hoped this answered y'alls questions
@@savage_babe173 jfc
@@chocolatemalkshake7046 most snake cages have heat lamps or heating rocks
That's a cute snake. You can tell she loves her human mom. Thank you the dodo for showing us this special snake.
Its not even just simple love. A lot of reptiles imprint on their owners, know their smell, warmth, heartbeat, voice, etc. Even if it isnt love there is care there!
@Provocateur maybe she uses the snakee...
Look up the Big ass white Python that bites his owner no thanks. He also raised it
Toxic And Friends same can be said about dogs, cats, birds , and any other animal .
It depends. They don't bite for no reason, the owner must've done something such as maybe smelled of something they would eat such as mice or rats or it could've been threatened. There is always a reason
Never knew a snake can yawn.. Haww Omg that's cute 🐍😍
