That certainly could be true (buttons vs screen). I hear auto start stop really only exists for fuel economy ratings, not because people wanted it 🤷♂️
i accidentally touched that while getting my car washed, and i had to shut the car off in order to disable it...not fun...but i just don't use that feature, i had no idea it put more wear on the engine....

DUDE this is the best car review I have ever seen. I have been making reviews for 7 years and even this taught me something about how I can make better videos WOW thanks man!
I’ve owned 3 LS’s. 1990, 2018 and 2020 Inspiration. Very very nice car. I get more compliments on this car vs. the E63 AMG I traded in. Night vs. day on quality and ride. I don’t miss the power. I could rarely use it anyway. This car has plenty. I wish the seats had better A/C venting. My back gets a little hot on hot summer days.
This is my favorite car. Personally believe that only Bentley and Rolls will have a shot against it. But then this car will still be a great value. Great choice man, and I am extremely happy for you! Also keep these long term updates coming. Would love to see something like a 6 month, 1 year or even 2,3 year updates. Keep up the good work!
Smart choice going used! I bought my used GSF and there was a new LS500 on the floor. They wanted nearly $100k. Now I could get a low mile LS500 for $45-$55k. INSANE value.
While my Lexus is not in the same class as yours, I can honestly vouch for their reliability and durability. I have a 2008 RX 350 with close to 200K miles and not one hiccup. I was about to pull the trigger on a RX 450 2017 but then the rumblings of the pandemic started and I held off. Now, I decided to hold on to this one for a couple more years and changed out all the struts, links, coils and mounts and she is riding just like the day I bought it. Lexus forever. Prior to this I had 6 Toyotas so I always stayed in the family.
I think I need to go back to Toyota/Lexus completely. They build better quality vehicles and have better support than I've been used to. I tend not to ever keep vehicles for more than 5 years but if I did it would have to be Toyo/Lex.
@@InternetDude My last car was a 2002 Camry and I left it with my dad in Texas, it now has over 300K miles on it and he uses it as a run around vehicle. In my 2013 lexus ls460l the climate control is simply amazing😎👍 ,and It gives you the best temperature for any climate. I just thought I’d mention that, because most people don’t touch on it when reviewing cars long term.

I watched your review about your Rav4 prime, really like it. How long did it take you get the car? I heard some people said they place the order 4 months ago and still have not received the car. I kinda want to switch from my Lexus that Rav4 prime for that PHEV.

Keep driving.” Me: Never do I see myself in a Lexus or a Toyota, so I went out and got a Cadillac STS 4 V8. Lexus: “See you soon.” Me: Less than two years, traded the Cadillac for a Lexus GS350 AWD. No regrets😎 Lexus: “Please, stay a while... Don’t ever play yourself.” Me: Noted.
Nice review, most people don't understand the car when it's a short term ownership. I believe they are going to do a lot more to the LS in regards to powertrain so keep your eye out!

Thanks for a great review. Anyone can drive a car for a few days and form an opinion but only someone who owns it can give a valued opinion of the vehicle. My 2018 LS 500h is the 5th lexus I've owned and I've been very happy with the quality and reliability of all of them. I simply love everything about this car and after a little tweeking to the settings of the infotainment track pad i have it working similar to the mouse pad on my laptop. (Turning off the sound and force feedback). I didn't buy this car for the zero to 60 numbers, so im pleased with the get up and go when it's needed. I purchased it more so for it's looks, the ride, comfort, safety, gas mileage, reliability and resale value. Reviewers will always find something they don't like in any car so you just have to take each opinion at face value and make the choice that's best for you to live with. I'm very happy with my decision to buy the LS 500h over the Mercedes S 450, it's everything i thought it would be. I look forward to your 1 year review of living with this luxury beast. 👌🏾
I appreciate your honesty. Although I'm a big fan of Tesla cars, I am very concerned about repairs and warranty issues. This is definitely a first for trading a Tesla for a Lexus. Hope the car gives lots of mileage and little troubles
Thanks for the comment. Personally I would not buy another Tesla in the foreseeable future. Too many problems. Too many changed policies. Too many hyped lies. Too expensive to own out of warranty. Too long to get service. etc. I think you would like my other Tesla repairs video: ruclips.net/video/4kWOburq4Fc/видео.html

Not sure this is the place to vent but my bud that works for Lexus of Orlando told me to keep my 17 LS460L and forget about the LS500 and wait two years for the new redesign. The LS500 is not as luxurious and Lexus has cut corners and cheaped out on many things that make the 460 a better car. Mostly more expensive build quality, V8 and more refined. Any one have both that can offer a first-hand opinion? The 500 colors are mostly fugly too, that purple brown all over gets old quick. Thanks, Bob in Vero, 25 year LS owner.
This is the right place to vent, Bob! I haven't driven a previous LS but I can say I'm sure the V8 would have smoother power delivery. As for more refined, I'm not sure. The biggest complaint seems to be with the run-flat tires on the 500, which mine were replaced with regular tires. I'm happy with the ride. I feel that the interior is "next level" better in so many ways over the previous LS's more simple interiors. I'm not real tall but headroom can be a factor depending on your seating position, compared to the older LS's. I'm very happy with quality and luxury of this car, no complaints at all there. The large luxury sedan market is completely dying out, everyone wants SUVs these days. I still appreciate my LS500 every time I drive it. It is a great car, but every car has some pros & cons. Fortunately for '21 they put in a touchscreen which would be my biggest complaint for the interior. Now that Lexus is bringing back the V8 in the IS maybe they will bring it back for the LS in 2022?? Who knows but we'll see.
Ma sha Allah. You are right on this brand. Nothing comes close to Lexus over all performance and reliability and comfort. Thank you for your honest opinion. I am planning to buy 2016 es300h. In shaAllah. What Tesla you had. Be safe and enjoy this beautiful car
I do agree Lexus needs to make their hybrids as plug in hybrids like they have in the Toyotas. Even the plug in hybrid porsches can get 40-60mpg due to the plug in capabilities. But I have hope for Lexus because every one of them I owned kept me safe when people hit the car, quality was top notch, never needed anything beyond normal maintenance and gasoline. Glad you live the LS, I’m looking out for the 2021 redesign
Cool! I’m actually considering the 2021 hybrid LS. I’d really, really prefer a plug-in but that’s not an option yet . We are going to trade the other Tesla off for a RAV4 Prime as soon as we can get one here.
@@InternetDude I was originally contemplating the Porsche Taycan but I think I might not be ready for going full EV just because of multiple injuries from the past that don’t need to be aggravated with instant torque. I fell in love with the LS500 in 2018 when I was originally going in to test a GSF and loved the redesign and the twin turbo V6 which has better fuel economy than a V8 but with V8 power delivery. I will likely still get a fast car as a weekender just to get my kicks at the track (I miss racing at NHRA 1/4 mile drags). I feel being in my 30s with all these injuries that comfort would appeal more to me than neck jerking. Have you looked into the updates the 2021 is getting? The hybrid sure gets some nice upgrades and the twin turbo v6 gets a boost in torque and ride quality.
@@InternetDude thats why I contemplated the Porsche Taycan as a single car by having the Turbo S and have both a daily and weekender. Sadly I live in an area that has too many shit drivers so I worry more about others hitting the car both in motion and while it’s parked than anything else. I mean it will all come down to next year when we finalize our house and then I can car shop (our current high rise has no place for an EV to top off while I’m home without someone messing with the car). Least my optioned are narrowed down , just have to actually see and feel all the 2021 updates and refreshes for both daily commuters to see where my heart and money go.
I ordered my 2018 LS 500 . I hated the runflat tires and at 7,000 miles I replace them at a cost of $1,027.It made a world of difference on how the car road and how much quieter the car was. I’ve enjoy the car
My 2019 LS 500 has run flat tires. I want to replace with regular tires. Has anyone been able to find a temporary spare that’ll fit in the trunk with proper lug pattern on the rim?
@@InternetDude I have a 2019 LS500. I want to replace my run flat tires with non run flat tires. Were you able to find a temporary spare that’s fits in the trunk? Thanks
I don't need such a big car but I love the luxury and quality. I wish they made a slightly smaller sedan or an estate with similar interior quality done with cloth and not leather.
I drove the Lexus ES350 this week and it is a bit smaller. I found it rode nice but had less features and had more wind noise. I would prefer a slightly smaller car as well. Estates are not very popular in North America here so there really aren't many available from any automakers.
You should be proud of yourself to own such a beautiful car in so many ways...The Japanese are way-way ahead in automobile manufacturing refinement and reliability as displayed in this gorgeous example ! Love the colors and interior !! Congrats and thanks 4 the video !!
You just need an ls either a 430/460 or 500 they all have that special feeling the way doesn't have and in some cases I prefer the ride of the ls460 over the ride of the ls500 depending on what I'm going for but for all around I was enjoying the 460 and yes I drive both!!
This is something I always come back to when I hear about Lexus and gas mileage: if you can afford a Lexus, and I can, you ain't gotta worry about gas mileage and fuel economy!!
@@InternetDude I've never driven a hybrid myself, but I've read comments from some Lexus owners that you get a "feel" sometimes going between power sources..that's why I'm personally staying ICE until Lexus comes out with a complete EV...then I'll consider one.
Sometimes there is a slight feel but the vast majority of the time you don't even notice. The hybrid version is much quieter and smoother, because around town the gas engine is off a lot of the time. I'd rather have plug-in hybrid more than a full electric.
I really enjoy your video, I have the exact sameLexus LS 500 2020, I haded for around seven months. I pretty much agree with everything you said on the video. Not having a touch screen is a pain but after a while you get use to it. I do have to say for a car this big almost 5000 lbs the gas miles is great, I have been driving GSs for many many year and the gas on this car last me as long as my other GS350 6-9days. If your going to buy a big luxury car I would recommend this one my opinion.
Thanks for the input. Believe it or not I’m actually considering the updated 2021 LS hybrid. These are such great cars overall and 2021 gets a touchscreen.
I've had both Tesla is fun (model S) and actually more comfortable than the LS500. I'm 6'2 and it's shocking how tight the Lexus feels. The LS interior is much nicer to look at tho. But, the fact the LS has no remote smart or touchscreen is baffling. The touch pad was a terrible idea. In, the end i believe the Lexus will be a better value overtime.
Oh man Teslas are lots of fun. It is true the headroom is not like the old LS, I can say I'm 5'7" so not a big deal to me. With that said I find the seat comfort overall is better on the Lexus however the seat cushioning is softer on the Tesla. I think it also depends on the year because the 2018 Model S I had was a tight fitting seat whereas the seat in my 2015 Model S was flatter and more comfortable in comparison. Yes, the touchpad was a mistake. They used to have a touchscreen in the LS, then went to touch-pad, and realized they are dumb and in 2021 they went back to touchscreen. I just uploaded a one year + update video last week, check it out. I believe once older Teslas are out of warranty they will depreciate like an anchor, like an old Mercedes. Battery replacements are $20K range so that will essentially total the cars when they are older. Tesla does not care about long time customers, only getting fresh blood in the door.
@@turnne Not in the least. I was looking for reliable luxury. The last two european cars I had gave me the luxury but not the reliability. And, the engine on my ls now is quick enough for what the car is intended. Do I miss the linearity and smoothness of a v8 750LI? Yes. I loved mine. But it did not compensate for the air conditioning always conking out or the suspension dropping at 70mph while I was on the freeway.
@@jpreyes1028 I understand . The Lexus LS has been more reliable than the Germans from day one However...the LS hasn't sold very well in many years and cars like the Mercedes S class outsell its more than 3X..and at a much higher price So..I wonder if the typical European buyer is ever considering a Lexus On the other side of things cars like the Genesis G90 are 'touting" Lexus quality at 20 percent less while offering a V8 engine
@@turnne Mercedes will always be a status symbol. When people get out of that "hey look at me" phase of their life, which most never do LOL, they will appreciate the Lexus. Also, the leasing market is quite big so people don't have to deal with a mercedes for more than 3 years. I do not expense my car out to my business and keep it for awhile so reliability is top of my list, luxury second. Lexus just gives me both as a long term owner. Plus, the residual value of Lexus is quite good.
U don't know how long it have been waiting to see someone who actually owns this car, does your have the executive rear seats and how good is the massage and I see u r looking for a PHEC, I really feel you should consider the RAV4 prime that's abt to get released as a second car, it would be the quickest and most efficient crossover in it's class and I bet u would get around most of the day on ev mode too
Great to hear! My car does not have the massaging rear seats (exec pkg), just massage front seats. I really do enjoy the massage feature, I use it often. I am interested in the Rav4 Prime, maybe it will replace my other Tesla? Hmm...
Trading a Tesla for a Lexus LS is quite the upgrade. That said, I hate that front grille. Plastic cheapens the appearance & Lexus isn’t about appearing cheap. Personally, I prefer the ES but any Lexus is guaranteed to be comfortable & reliable.
So you're the one that bought this 2018 LS 500. I've been watching it on AutoTrader for the past few months. But when I checked it a few weeks ago, it was gone...😥 Great video 👍. I thoroughly enjoyed your honest and unbiased feedback about your experience. I hope to get my own one day spec'd out exactly how yours is. Eminent White Pearl with the White Semi-Aniline Leather and the Executive Package. I really like the Panoramic Moon-roof and how Lexus made the entire roof black. Just purchased a 100k mile 2010 LS 460 for $12k. I feel like I robbed someone. It is absolutely the best car I’ve ever owned and I’d take it over a new American car. The adaptive cruise control is a game changer. I looked at several newer models and was ready to spend up to $25k but quickly realized I liked the touch screen much better than the mouse/touch pad system in in the later models. Don’t get AWD unless you live in Canada!
I intend to do a one-year update video very soon. If you have specific things you want me to answer, let me know as I'm still thinking about what to include.
Here was my choice a used 2015 LS 600hL (25K miles) or a LS 500 - I choose the LS 600hL with the extended warranty. Time will tell if I made the right choice.
All cars do not have the same ride height on all 4 corners. They do this on purpose to compensate for such factors like the weight of the driver, gas in the tank etc.
AMAZING car !! Like I just commented on your initial post, I have a 2013 Lexus E350 with now only 36k miles. Love this car. Lexus/Toyota is the BEST reliability/dependability of any automotive company in the industry!! I would love the LS500... But after my ES350 is paid off in about 4 years and I’m closer to retirement ill be buying a 2016 Corvette C7 Stingray with 7 speed manual ! Good luck ! Yes any German car is an empty $ pit as they age (over 5 years old) and with over 50k miles ! in fact i traded in a 2013 BMW X5 for my 2013 ES350.. That piece of crap cost me $2,500 to $3k over only 8 months, front end work, leaking rear differential, broken door lock ... Couldn’t sell that piece of crap privately and took a major loss when i traded it in... My fault for not doing research on high mileage BMW’s especially the X5. New Subscriber.. like your style
Ok, just found your latest video. Awesome choice of ride! LS is one of my all time favourite among all the cars I ever owned. Very nice choice. You went from worst workmanship in the industry to the very best! I hope you enjoy the dealership experience as I did in the past. It's nice to visit the local dealer and they know you by name.
You mentioned smelling coolant... I have 2 cars that do that too... my 16 ES350 and my 19 Subaru Legacy... I'm writing it up as venting from the overflow bottle... neither leak coolant, level is always the same.
Update: I found a local deal on a 19 LS 500 with 15,025 miles in perfect shape and... score! $66,000, sold my 17 LS 460 with 25,500 miles for $42,000 and in love again! Window sticker says just under $94,000 incl. Panaramic Roof and 20" chrome wheels, most every option except 4WD, Exec Pkg. and goofy hybrid. Car flies and 23 speaker Mark Levinson Reference (?) sound system better than my ears can hear. Black leather, wood trim and oh what fun. Go for it, if you can find one! Read that they are slow sellers so not making many and hard to find around SoFlo. Oh yeah, Tesla Plaid sounds oh so cool two but at more than double the price think I'll wait plus Teslas are starting to look like old Dodges now. LS 500 much faster than LS 460 and sport plus mode with traction control off and ten-speed auto with paddle shifters a blast even though Tesla does go the fastest, I breeze past the charging ports. The massage function is a hoot, too.
When I see someone drive this car I think they are not only rich but smart. I don’t think that with Tesla owners.

What do you think of the new 2021s? I may upgrade in a year. Touchscreen 👍
This is a great car. Solid choice.
100%!
Thanks. Noted! I really like Bentley, the Continental GT is my dream Bentley. Maybe some day...
Smart choice going used! I bought my used GSF and there was a new LS500 on the floor. They wanted nearly $100k. Now I could get a low mile LS500 for $45-$55k. INSANE value.
That is cheap (the used ones). Surprising considering Lexus holds it's resale better than the competition.
Drove from Naples to Miami and back (4.2 hours of driving)..only used 1/2 tank and I was cruising 82-105. Awesome!
Right on 👍
While my Lexus is not in the same class as yours, I can honestly vouch for their reliability and durability.
Honestly, I see no other reason to own anything else but, trust me, if money were no object I would have an Alfa Romeo or Aston Martin as a fun car. One can dream.
I have my first Lexus, an is250 AWD. Love it!
Nice!
In my 2013 lexus ls460l the climate control is simply amazing😎👍 ,and It gives you the best temperature for any climate. I just thought I’d mention that, because most people don’t touch on it when reviewing cars long term.
Good to know! I have no complaints on my 2018 LS500 so far.
Tesla have an "image" of quality, but Lexus got the actual quality.
I think most people don’t think too much about quality when considering Tesla....
Congrats, I would keep the Lexus forever, I drive a Genesis and I love it, I am never selling it. Reliability on these automobiles are a 10.
Right on! Genesis is a top quality brand but I'm not sure they have the high resale that Toyota/Lexus does??
@@InternetDude Lexus resale value is a notch higher, but reliability are the same, just to add a quick note. Stay away from Range Rovers the worst reliability ever when is comes to SUVies.
I also own a Rx 450h 2020. It has touch screen. Really like it a lot. Glad that Lexus gave the touch screen to the Rx. Very comfortable to drive. very smooth.
Lexus seems to have got the message and is putting touchscreens in everything as they update the models. LS, RX, ES, etc.
I watched your review about your Rav4 prime, really like it. How long did it take you get the car? I heard some people said they place the order 4 months ago and still have not received the car. I kinda want to switch from my Lexus that Rav4 prime for that PHEV.
@@GuuiYae I told the dealer I would wait for one in August. In December they said I could put in my color and trim level preference, and then it arrived in February.
@@GuuiYae a lot of car production has shut down due to chip shortage, it’s hard to say how long the wait will be right now. Try calling smaller dealerships, you may have more luck come with them.

Thanks. Yes it is an amazing ride.
Enjoy it
He said he wasn't a Toyota fan boy.
Lexus: "All In due time, my friend". "Keep driving."
😁🤔
I said years ago I will never find myself in a Toyota car or a Lexus car.
Lexus: “All in due time. Keep driving.”
Me: Never do I see myself in a Lexus or a Toyota, so I went out and got a Cadillac STS 4 V8.
Lexus: “See you soon.”
Me: Less than two years, traded the Cadillac for a Lexus GS350 AWD. No regrets😎
Lexus: “Please, stay a while... Don’t ever play yourself.”
Me: Noted.
Just got my new 2021 LS500. It’s fabulous so proud of it
Awesome!! 👍
Is it a bit underpowered off the line? Mine has turbo lag, not much power for a second or two after accelerating.
How is the touchscreen? I wish I had one.
@@InternetDude haven’t punched it yet, only has 12 miles on it. Almost didn’t fit in garage
@@InternetDude touch screen works great no delay. They got rid of the mouse still has a pad you can scroll with I just use the touch screen
Nice review, most people don't understand the car when it's a short term ownership.
I believe they are going to do a lot more to the LS in regards to powertrain so keep your eye out!
I know Lexus has announced an upcoming EV (not LS though). I wish the hybrid version of the LS wasn’t ridiculously expensive.
You are driving at 100 and it looks like the car is parked wow look at that stability fantastic 👍
😁
11:32 : In some countries, this being the top of line Lexus sedan, is owned by very affluent. Most of those are chauffeured around which explains why you find great leg room and features for the rear passengers.
True. Being driven around is not the norm here.
It's a LEXUS, Beautiful Car Beautiful Review. Congratulations
Thanks!
That steering wheel looks boss. Looks like it is soft with good grip.
It is! Much more premium than the Tesla's wheel IMHO, better feel.

I had a 95 Escort GT 1.8, loved that car. Kinda wish I had it again, it was very fun with the 5 speed. I am pretty much Toyo Lexus for life now I think too 😉
Of all the car review videos I see of this car, I see a majority of positive things only. All those people cannot be wrong. Smart choice by smart people

Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm really excited about the rumoured LSF. 4.0L V8 Twin Turbo 600bhp!
You mean lc f?
Great video, thank you. I'm happy you left the Tesla family to join the Lexus family!! Lots of information!!
Glad you liked it! I still have another Tesla Model S, but who knows for how long...

The interior color combinaition is heavenly
I agree!
I’m considering getting this new with the kiriko glass package. This will help!
Go for it!!
Hi great car i also have a Lexus LS460 had it for three months love it. Its a 2016 only had 60,000 miles on it and its smooth enjoy your car.
Very nice!
LS 500 is awesome car to drive. You are lucky! I agree with you- plug-in hybrids are the way to go.
😁
Turn heads all the time yet sporty and luxurious at the same time, make them want what you have , already , own it 😃
👍
Ma sha Allah. You are right on this brand. Nothing comes close to Lexus over all performance and reliability and comfort. Thank you for your honest opinion. I am planning to buy 2016 es300h. In shaAllah. What Tesla you had.
Be safe and enjoy this beautiful car

@@InternetDude I always felt. Tesla is a technology car not a luxury and way too expensive. Very blan interiors
Aloha snack bar.
Yes I’m liking the 2021 updates. I’d like to test drive one.
If you would rather have only one car you could go the EV route and baby it during the week....
Thanks for the input.
My 2019 LS 500 has run flat tires. I want to replace with regular tires. Has anyone been able to find a temporary spare that’ll fit in the trunk with proper lug pattern on the rim?

the es350 wise Japanese grandpa lol...such an awesome ride in person they look even more incredible
Can't go wrong with ES or LS...
@@InternetDude I drive an es350 and it's basically the same thing honestly. I don't think I can handle a bigger car lol.
You should be proud of yourself to own such a beautiful car in so many ways...The Japanese are way-way ahead in automobile manufacturing refinement and reliability as displayed in this gorgeous example ! Love the colors and interior !! Congrats and thanks 4 the video !!
Thanks, I still appreciate the car every time I drive it. So many nice little touches in the interior, the looks, etc.
stay tuned, I plan on doing a one year update video soon.

No problem 👍
Fun Fact: The “500” in LS500 is a subtle nod to how much dollars it costs you at the gas station!
Oh no gas is cheap now, it’s more like $400. 😂
I stare at the lights when they are behind me it’s set up so nicely it’s almost like they are floating or something.

You just need an ls either a 430/460 or 500 they all have that special feeling the way doesn't have and in some cases I prefer the ride of the ls460 over the ride of the ls500 depending on what I'm going for but for all around I was enjoying the 460 and yes I drive both!!
Hey if you can upgrade then why not. Remember shroud has no pockets. Get it and enjoy it.
if lexus made the LS500 F-Sport with the glass trim it would be absolutely 100% perfect
That glass trim is 💯
This is something I always come back to when I hear about Lexus and gas mileage: if you can afford a Lexus, and I can, you ain't gotta worry about gas mileage and fuel economy!!
That's true, I can afford the gas too. My next car will be a hybrid though, I just like that it's way more efficient, and quiet. Oh, and smoother.
Love your LS!
😁
I have a 2021 LS500 and really enjoy it
Great to hear!
I really enjoy your video, I have the exact sameLexus LS 500 2020, I haded for around seven months. I pretty much agree with everything you said on the video. Not having a touch screen is a pain
but after a while you get use to it. I do have to say for a car this big almost 5000 lbs the gas miles is great, I have been driving GSs for many many year and the gas on this car last me as long
as my other GS350 6-9days. If your going to buy a big luxury car I would recommend this one my opinion.
Thanks for the input. Believe it or not I’m actually considering the updated 2021 LS hybrid. These are such great cars overall and 2021 gets a touchscreen.
InternetDude sounds like a great option
I’m having a hard time between a BMW 740i and a Lexus LS 500, but the BMWs styling is more understated (which I like).
Lexus will need less repairs I would say.
What a car and excellent review thanks
Thanks
Thank you for using the metric system.

2 years with mine and I will never buy another euro car again.
Right on!
@Jose Paulo King
Do you miss the customization, technology and V8( or V12) engines that the European sedans offer?
@@turnne Not in the least. I was looking for reliable luxury. The last two european cars I had gave me the luxury but not the reliability. And, the engine on my ls now is quick enough for what the car is intended. Do I miss the linearity and smoothness of a v8 750LI? Yes. I loved mine. But it did not compensate for the air conditioning always conking out or the suspension dropping at 70mph while I was on the freeway.
@@jpreyes1028 I understand . The Lexus LS has been more reliable than the Germans from day one
However...the LS hasn't sold very well in many years and cars like the Mercedes S class outsell its more than 3X..and at a much higher price
So..I wonder if the typical European buyer is ever considering a Lexus
On the other side of things cars like the Genesis G90 are 'touting" Lexus quality at 20 percent less while offering a V8 engine

Great to hear! My car does not have the massaging rear seats (exec pkg), just massage front seats. I really do enjoy the massage feature, I use it often. I am interested in the Rav4 Prime, maybe it will replace my other Tesla? Hmm...
Great video! Shares some light for those looking for a quality luxury vehicle.
Thanks. I’m working on another video right now, should be live in a few hours.
Trading a Tesla for a Lexus LS is quite the upgrade. That said, I hate that front grille. Plastic cheapens the appearance & Lexus isn’t about appearing cheap. Personally, I prefer the ES but any Lexus is guaranteed to be comfortable & reliable.
Thanks for the comment. I like the grille, but it is controversial. The interior really sells this car, it is so awesome.
InternetDude agree, definitely another level above the ES.
So you're the one that bought this 2018 LS 500. I've been watching it on AutoTrader for the past few months. But when I checked it a few weeks ago, it was gone...😥
Great video 👍.
Just adds a bit more luxury to this flagship.

That's where I saw it too, I had a bookmark for LS's across Canada.
The 2021 LS (Facelift) now has a touchscreen.
Yes, that's great news. Lexus also announced the 2022 ES will get a touchscreen. They finally heard the complaints ;-)
Yes you stole that. These are great cars, I’m in Canada so the AWD is very helpful here.
The touch screen is coming for the 2021 LS500.
Good video, would like to see more long term reviews as there are just not enough out there.
I intend to do a one-year update video very soon. If you have specific things you want me to answer, let me know as I'm still thinking about what to include.
“I traded my tesla for a Lexus “ top notch . Love how he does the conversion miles / gallon to km/ litre
Thanks
Here was my choice a used 2015 LS 600hL (25K miles) or a LS 500 - I choose the LS 600hL with the extended warranty. Time will tell if I made the right choice.
Both good choices IMHO the 600 will likely be a smudge more reliable in the long, long term.
All cars do not have the same ride height on all 4 corners. They do this on purpose to compensate for such factors like the weight of the driver, gas in the tank etc.
I plan on calling Lexus this week so we’ll see what they say, it could be normal!
We own couple Lex and so far so good.

Nothing wrong with your ES. Ugh no way would I own a BMW out of warranty. Heck I wouldn't purchase one, lease only. Money pits they are...
InternetDude yes exactly. Unfortunately I learned the hard way ! Bottomline line is got rid of that BMW as soon as I possibly could!
Good trade lol 🙂 I love my Lexus RX400H...best daily drive Ive ever had.
Nice 👍 I only wish the hybrid version of the LS wasn't so expensive over the full-gas LS or I'd just go buy a new one.
Great video! Thank you. ill share it in my blog
Awesome, thanks!
I like that I can call them and they answer the phone and I can get an appointment in a week. Can’t actually talk to someone in Tesla Service.
You mentioned smelling coolant... I have 2 cars that do that too... my 16 ES350 and my 19 Subaru Legacy... I'm writing it up as venting from the overflow bottle... neither leak coolant, level is always the same.
OK. My coolant level stopped dropping although I do smell coolant occasionally, I'm not worried anymore since the level no longer decreases.
Great! Check out my newer one year update video.
Very nice car indeed! Better than the Tesla for sure.
