We have the Ogo, and it’s great, but put locktite on the big screw on the bottom of the bucket! We noticed a smell and I opened it up and a pile of unmixed waste was on top 😮 The screw on the bottom that connects the gear to the agitator had come loose. So the agitator was not turning even though the motor was turning. This also happened to someone else I know. Simple fix. I put blue thread locking compound on the screw and it has been fine ever since. I check it just to make sure. Other than that, we are really glad to ditch the black tank hassle. We save water and don’t need to find dump stations. Easy to use and easy to clean and you don’t have to worry about a black tank hose bursting.

I think the OGO is a good choice. I made something very like the Nomad they make, using a 5 gallon bucket, a smaller deli bucket w coconut coir, and a smaller size clear detergent bottle from TJ’s. As a female (who sprays…🙁), I put a nylon tube in the bottle opening and a female urinal on top of that. I have a pool noodle around the rim, and a gamma lid if I take the noodle off. This works for me as a car toilet for occasional use. But if I have a need for more, I’m going with the OGO.
Btw, that bottle can’t possibly be 24 oz. I’d check how much liquid they want added against the actual oz size of the bottle.
Good on you for handling this, and the diapering, and the cat box.

I have to say, I am very impressed not only with your grace toward such a sketchy chore but also with the way you presented the review. Kudos, best I've seen. I am curious, however, on how it will go after a bit of a ' blow out' usage situation that inevitably happens. Will you please give us an update after such a time please? It's like having the low down, nitty gritty on the worst case scenario situation that will give us viewers the full spectrum review and what to expect. I think the automatic power stir is great, but am interested in knowing if a manual emergency stir is an option for possible power failure situation. Thanks for sharing! PS. I have a feeling Isaac might need close to 9 mos timeframe to feel comfortable with the idea of changing the human catbox for obvious turn about reasons...lol 😂😆😂

Great video! I have this toilet, installed a few weeks ago but have not traveled so I have not used it yet. Actually watching someone else clean it was great. I knew it was an easy process. There is no need for "gloves" or shoes! Not sure what the issues are with the comments about that, all you are doing is dumping the contents into a trash bag! When diapers are changed, do you all of you wear gloves if you're cleaning a cat litter box do you wear gloves? Anyway, thanks for the video. I love my Ogo!

I don't know where you are but in France the pellets apart from being completely natural and without the smell of litter are much cheaper than bags of litter (well I have a cat when she goes to poop it's still 5 minutes or you have to hold your nose, but the wood absorbs the smell very quickly) and I need to change it much much less often. It is doubly economical. Since I started using pellets, my litter bill has been divided by four.@@LeaveHerWild

Hi Jaylena. I just want to say that I would only have a Cinderella toilet 🚽🚽🚽 they look so easy and quick to clean as you just do your buisness and press a button that macerator which burns every thing to ashes. I have not used one but for me I think that visitors would have no problem using it. No smell and when it comes to emptying it there is nothing to throw away apart from ashes hence the name Cinderella toilet. It's obviously a personal thing but I have become really grossed out with things like that, to the point that I actually wretch.. I have had three children and it never bothered me at all but now I am hopeless.!! LOL. I have not commented on your channels for some time but I never miss watching your videos and Isaacs. Just wanted to say that I love 💘💘💘💘💘💘your new home and I am really looking forward to seeing you and the family visiting the fifty states 😂😂😂. That coconut peat that you put in the pot was already moistened. It didn't need the water. Coconut peat comes in a large compressed super dry block that has to be broken apart or else buy retail in small super dry blocks and soak to get it to that lovely fluffy consistency that you poured into the pot. I'm sure you don't need to give it extra water when you use that made-up coconut peat.
As I'm sure you already know there should be no smell/odour come from the pot when you empty it and there should not be any need to wash the pot out either.
The composting process uses beneficial bacteria to begin the composting process and if you wash the pot out you get rid of all of that so it has to start all over again. If it can be allowed to compost naturally you should easily be able to go 28days before emptying. There didn't seem to be much in the pot this time which I assume was the first use? So if you left the residue in the pot it would help the next batch compost quicker and better. So no need to wash the pot after emptying.

Why. Not put the bag into the bucket and then put the material in the bag…then, you can just take the bag out and dispose of it…then repeat process?!😎

The toilet cleaning works great the only thing that i would have to get is a lid for it to put on it when i carry it though the house an pair of plastic gloves . I always have to wear gloves when i clean the bathroom, i’m a germ freat😢

Could you put trash bags in the bucket? That’s what I have for my “black out” toilet. If we lose power, we have no water because we’re on a well. Imma just lift that garbage bag of coco core and waste right out and throw it in another bag.

I don't think so. The agitator would not work with a plastic bag in the way.

I put a plastic garbage bag in my bucket, and when done, just tie up the bag and get rid of it, that way I don't even need to clean the bucket.
