I tried to do one of these today,a 2014 model,at the part where it tells you to put remote in hand it says learning failed,didn't even ask me to press unlock when it was in my hand. I did a 2012 xf three days ago with a fully prox key but it was the key with chrome on both edges,that worked perfectly!

I have a 2015 XF and am facing this problem. My fobs work fine. The problem is i changed the secondary battery, in turn THAT battery disconnection activated the internal immobilizer. It’s well known issue with Jaguar, and they are telling me they are THEE ONLY ones who can fix, but i just had to bury a brother and can’t afford $180 initial plus per hr diagnostic check, when i already know what the problem is…. 😭 🙏🏾 help me!!!!
First try to push and hold the start stop button for 10 second when the gear come up move it to d and back to p and push start stop button if doesn't work chang the start stop button
I contacted obdii and they told me that with the sdd diagnosis it is not possible to update or align ... can I contact you on whatsapp to explain better?

For this car you have to start with unlock smart key before it will allow add key
