- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies arrested 160 people in a seven-day operation focused human trafficking in its area.
Deputies said the arrests from “Fall Haul 2” included school teachers, a state corrections officer, and a Disney employee. Twenty-six of those charged were said to be married men, and 15 of the arrests involved people from outside of Florida.

I am a lifelong Floridian who moved north 5 years ago. I lived in Orange County for six years but never Polk. I have to say that I watch ALL of this Sheriff’s press briefings to this day. He is one of a kind and I love his dedication to laying it ALL out there!
Edit: I love the work of PCSD but please don’t forget that the victims can include males as well.
no joke it's both men and women - it just seems with these types of crimes that it's females, but it didn't sound like he forgot the male victims. Females can also be perpretrators too.
I work at a women's rehab/shelter. We see many women who have survived horrific abuse at the hands of these sick traffickers. Some have been trafficked since they were kids. Thank you with all my heart to Sherriff Grady and all involved with treating these women with the respect they deserve. And thank you for bringing the perpetrators in. They are everywhere, in everyday business, right under our noses.

I know there are some real punks in law enforcement, but I believe that there are many more good and honest LEOs than there are dirty ones. This is what I call “transparent justice”. They are simply provided with a couple days of food and safety and then released back to the streets with no money and no one to protect them. They don't take an oath to the law, they take an oath to the constitution. Any law that violates the constitution, they should ignore but they don't. Just like enforcing concealed carry permits when the second amendment gives you that right but they will cite you for not having it. It's a civil rights violation and potentially a lawsuit as well.

The only things concealed carry laws state is that you keep your gun out of public view. Remember that the 10th amendment states that anything that isn't specified by the constitution is left to the power of the states. Nowhere in the constitution was it written as to how arms are "beared".

I’m from Kentucky and I watch these videos of sheriff Grady’s arrest news conferences all the time. He does great work down there in Florida. He’s one of a kind and Floridians are lucky to have him. He is determined to clean up his county and state and keep the citizens safe. Thank you sheriff Judd Grady for arresting all these child predators and violent criminals.
Every city, county needs a sheriff with his love of the people and takes to heart that criminals should be caught, arrested and prosecuted and jailed, no matter who they are. He is a hero to so many.

Our governor Ron DeSantis just fired our Florida state attorney because he was openly and blatantly just refusing to prosecute crimes including trespassing, harassment, prostitution, shop lifting if it was less than a few hundred dollars, and he made a big media circus of mouthing off saying he would never prosecute abortion providers no matter what Florida decides to change the laws to. Regardless of your personal feelings on the abortion issue, I think most reasonable people could agree that the whole point of this guy's job is to prosecute and convict guilty criminals and it's not up to him alone to say some people can just walk free, but he was doing exactly that and when he got suspended the media reacted with HORROR and OUTRAGE that a duly elected public servant could get fired by a governor! The past 3 years in Tampa has had the highest crime rates our city has ever seen because the criminals KNEW they could basically do whatever they want and wouldn't get arrested and charged until they committed a more heinous crime, and we've had no shortage of those. Our new state attorney is now in place who fairly and impartially tries cases based on circumstances and evidence only not progressive justice and the county is doing better already in two months

what I love about this Sheriff is this is who he is. He has been doing this job for years and keeps winning reelection without much hassle. The more national attention he gets, nothing changes. He isn't interested in pursuing other offices.

Everyone loved him. He was great at teaching, he genuinely loved all his students, and he was looked up to. A lot of us loved to hang out with him during lunch break. Before he left he even promised to download a movie so I could watch it with him during lunch.
Seeing him get arrested for this… part of me is wishing that he was wrongfully accused and the other part is having a hard time swallowing the huge pill of which nobody can really be trusted anymore.
Well please try to forgive him for his weakness. He felt he needed to pay for sex. Sex addiction is a real problem. He needs psychiatric counseling to figure out what is driving his self destructive behaviors.

Strange. I'm a Christian and I know my Bible and I never knew that God intended to make people cops to enforce civil laws made by people which often conflict with divine law. I don't remember Jesus arresting and throwing the prostitute who came to anoint His feet with oil in jail. Sheriffs are elected positions, police chiefs are not. Sheriffs have to be held accountable while the politicians control the police. If all of the leaders in the police force were elected they would be far more accountable.
Police are nothing but revenue collectors and minions for the mayor. They will never work except for the corrupt. Constitutional sheriffs are the ones who uphold the law. Police are trash.
Strangely, there are few PDs that actually commit to human and sex trafficking related investigations, including child abduction and trafficking as well. Usually, base level information gets reported to them, they put it in their system and forget about it. I'm proud of this PD for actually assembling a criminal investigation into what many would consider the gravest crimes against humanity. Respect!

Unfortunately, most small to medium PD's don't have the resources to push an investigation beyond a sexual battery and false imprisonment case.
The criminal investigation ends with the victim(s) and suspect(s) at a single scene. I work for a medium sized agency and the farthest we've gotten were suspicions of human trafficking, a victim here and there and a lot of empty hotel rooms with suspects with only nicknames who disappeared before we showed up.
When you hook the victims on drugs, the suspect becomes their "boyfriend" and the cops become the boogeyman with handcuffs.
I wish more victims would understand that some of us don't care about their fentanyl possession. Some of us just want people to be free and enjoy their constitutional rights.
I imagine Sheriff Grady Judd doesn't have many friends among big Corporate Execs, Banksters, Judges, Attorneys, and high-level politicians in FL--because he's working so hard to prevent them from exercising their proclivities...

I'm not even from Florida, I just love watching Sheriff Judd"s news conferences. He is extremely likeable, he honestly reminds me of Andy from Mayberry. I bet he's an amazing Dad and Grandfather. Sheriff Judd is exceptional at his job because he has a strict moral compass, and a man with such unshakeable values would never deprive his family of the interaction and guidance that comes from your father or grandfather. Actually , there was one press conference following the Fourth of July where he spoke of a weekend of how he enjoyed spending the entire weekend with his grand kids8 doing everything from water balloon fight, roasting marsh mellows, watching fire works and my favorite freezing wintergreen Lifesavers' so the he and the kids could chomp on the making them spark in the dark. He even gave a little science lesson to the kids about what makes the LIfesaver's spark in the dark, which is apparently called triboluminescence. So yeah he has absolutely no time to share with his family. Other than that.

Great efforts by everyone involved! Had a big prostitution ring busted in my area last year and they're still active in finding more connected to it, more houses were found last month. Really opened up my eyes to how low-key these things are in communities.
