These showmatches are a treat to watch. Great atmosphere, no animosity no bitching or anything of the sort. Just 2 friends going up against each other in the best game ever made, with the 3rd friend doing the casting. We really can't ask for anything better. Should create a fun cup (invite only) of (former) top foreigners in the same setting as you guys do these showmatches, should be fun and nostalgic. Unfortunately though there is always 1 guy we'll have to miss every single time, talking about Geoff obviously, but wherever he is, he'd be pumped!

There's something magical that happens when either Artosis and Tasteless commentate/cast Brood War games. The passion and deep knowledge of the game are really noticeable. Every small decision feels significant, interesting, and part of a larger story.
Storms stack and stuff, too. The casters in SC1 are extremely powerful, like you'll almost never see a zerg not go defiler. Plague and Dark Swarm would just break SC2 lol

That bottom right was a headache. Denied by a single marine, takes the natural, gets harassed all game, pylon wall preventing gateways from rallying out, nooo tassels
He could have probably sat a reaver there or a templar w some cannons and been able to save tons of probes, but hindsight is a bitch like that. I think his rally points were also hurting him a lot like Arty mentioned. Glad his wrists are better though, give him some time and I bet he'll improve a lot
@@PawsAndKeys he had the Econ advantage even without failing to set up further expansions. His micro was his downfall. He was just slightly off. He needed a little more speed to win another couple exchanges
Honestly, I'm really impressed with Tastless and how he played. Even tough he lost al the games they were all close games and he showed a lot of skill.

man I loved this series ! I was rooting for tasteless so hard !! considering the huge difference in skill between him and special ( avg 190 vs 350 apm lol) I think he did great ! I mean he really took all the right decisions in terms of where and when to attack but he just didn't have the skill to pull them off ! watching that arb forgotten at the bottom of the natural was soooooo painful lol
Tasteless needs to fix his rally point habits. If he did that, and his armies weren't so disjointed.. i dunno. At some points it felt like i was watching a broken replay where units just stopped doing things.

I feel like he would've crushed that third game if he fixed those two things.. I think if he fixed his rallies, it would've helped him keep his armies together better. Instead of having to check each main to select the units, then check each natural to select units.. if he fixed his rallies, it would've saved him time in the end and he probably wouldn't have struggled so much to keep his armies together. Setting the rallies would've take like 15 seconds or so, and I know how valuable that time is when terran is breathing down your neck.. anyways, I was just kinda sharing my thoughts is all.
Special is looking healthier, thinner, and better groomed than the last time I saw him on video. It seems like taking some time off of starcraft 2 has really been good for him.
In the third game Special realized it would be too boring to just go and kill Tasteless with 2base push. So, he put his third cc and made a show. He is a real PRO who know what people want to see. Respect! But I still cheer for Tasteless ;)
Yeah, Special took his foot off the gas in the third game. He gave tasteless a chance to complete most of his build before harassing and attacking him. It was really sporting of him to give tasteless a chance and show off a nice long third match.

can you explain why you think TVP is so heavily favoured for P? Because it seems like Terran can just comfortably turtle till 2/2 and then literally walk over protoss...obviously late game toss can get out of control big but other than that im like ????????? whats the problem

Tasteless needs to make 2 stargate scouts with speed first before templar tech and robo support bay with sheild battery support. Scouts are great against mech and can easily harass mineral lines while retreating quickly to recharge shields.
@@GuilleSMasini why not? If Terran disrespects Protoss and ONLY makes Tanks and Vultures, why not make scouts to punish Terran? If you get gas heavy you can make some arbiters

Tasteless is really out of practice and has only been back to BW for like a year. He needs to improve a lot based on this series.

Cannot get over how long stasis lasts, you just wouldn't see that kinda thing in a modern RTS game.

Tasteless is way too rusty and slow with an APM around 200. 250 is bare minimum to be decent, which is around what Stork plays at.
