Respect to Chris rea, that guy has been through the mill health wise, I think he has a great attitude that’s what keeps him going.
My dear wife is a 'Boro lass. We used to go see Mr. Rea every tour in the 1980s at Newcastle City Hall.
Chris Rea: What a lovely man!!!
Used to go in his dad's cafe when a young un in the Boro Chris Rea LEGEND
Can you just imagine sitting in on a couple of pints with those 3 guys ? Priceless ! 😆👍🍻
Easily pleased
Yep, sitting there, a Guinness or two, a good chat with lads who aren't entitled and self-centered like a lot of people seem to be these days. 🍻
Legend has it that one night out.. Chris took Bob home and gave him a bath... and also popped an egg in it for him.
What a nice guy Chris is...
@@fingersTitan 🤣 that's exactly what I'm talking about! 👍
Going strong at 71 even with his somewhat 😳 health issues.
Still has his sharp wit, excellent song writer. Petrolhead too. Keep 🤘🏼 Chris
The difference between Sting and Chris Rea is, Chris Rea has talent 🤫

Even though I don't understand every word.....I'm a Chris Rea fan since 1990 and very happy to see this interview. Love his music and his voice. Greetings from Germany

Nothing but the very, very best to you and yours, Chris. Take care, bonny lad.
Ti adoro Chris....x sempre nel mio cuore❤
Three great gentlemen, well done
Ahh, wonderful video. Just enjoying it in the bath with the customary floating fried eggs, lovely.
It's raw eggs, surely!
Never a fried egg lad. Too greasy.
@@TheRevWillNotBeTelevised .. less greasy than water without egg in it?
Great guitar player, almost never gets mentioned. Kudos Mr Rea🥇
Big fan of Chris Rea....
Love Chris Rea. Driving home is still a classic Christmas song
Absolute legend!
Absolutely wonderful real life real people
This is just wonderful, Chris you`re a hero, and one of the very best lad :) Bob and Paul are not to shabby either...;-)
Easily the best bloke alive in the music 🎵 industry- tons of respect ✊ for his humility and honesty - hero I think!!🎉🎉🎉❤❤

Are you driving home 🤣👏🏻
The legend ! Loved that raspy sound.
Chris Rea. What a musician and seeing Bob listen was very touching. Great people.
I saw him in Wembley arena in 2008 or 2009, it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to.
I love Chris’s songs. May he, Paul and Bob stay in good health. ❤️
Middlesbrough
😊
If you're from Middlesbrough, you should be proud as punch to have this man as a son ❤️
Bob or Chris?
Always down to earth boy next door love you Chris Rea ❤
A wonderful clip. One of the reasons I admire Chris Rea is because he is nothing like sting.... I've been a fan for many years, his albums are never far from my turntable. Also a fan of his race driving and cars. Thanks for the wonderful music which has forged so many happy and great memories in mine and many other peoples lives. Keep fighting on Sir.
What a legend
Great advert for the NHS 😂
best Christmas song ever followed very very closely by George
I'd love for there to be an episode of Gone Fishing with Paul & Bob, with Fergal Sharkey and Chris Rea.
Legend Chris. He will always be recorded in music history.
Sad to know of his medical problems.
Keep calm and carry on.
As a Brit living in Austria. Saw Chris at a concert in Vienna.... We just managed to get tickets for his show..... It was packed out.
Tops all three legends!
Merry christmas and best wishes from Germany. Thank you for sending this video with Chris. I have not heard anything about him for a long time. He was so popular here and as a real fan (since 1978 with fool if you think it's over) I am glad to see him smile. He has to struggle a lot. May he be in acceptable shape.
Chris Rhea always!
Kindness and a chat. Best ever in the cold. :)
Stainsby Girls. Brilliant.
My favourite Chris Rea song. I too have kidney disease, end stage renal failure. Dialysis 3 days a week keeps me out of that cold box. I have loved your music and guitar mastery since I first saw you at the NEC, in 1985 supporting Clapton. My life changed forever at that gig.
Lovely interview that.
Chris is looking really well.
I’m so chuffed this came up on my utube suggestions. Chris with you two lads, what a great couple of minutes I’ve spent. Merry Christmas to you. X
What a legend!
Chris stay well. Your an icon and your music will live on. Brilliant man 🤗
Chris Rea's Driving Home For Christmas has been my favourite Christmas song for years. We always used to play that at the end of our last market (selling cheeses) before Christmas with both my sons. So it brings me great joy and always brings a few tears as well. You can never hear enough Chris Rea. He is the best.
indeed, so underrated. Texas is one of my favourite tracks of all time. It totally sums up that feeling of being stuck in the rat race and wanting to escape to wide open country somewhere.
Love Chris. So humble.
Met Chris in a pub in Boro quite a few years ago..what a straight up down to earth guy..bought him a pint had a really good fella..
Top bloke..great guitarist..
Was or is that a wig?
@@t45tt4tr Not sure but if it's real hair then it's dyed, he's over 70!
He's always had good hair bless him
Hope your all driving home for Christmas. Have a great time . looking forward to your next vidio. Thank you....
Looking a lot better
That's made my day. seeing Chris - a local hero of mine chatting to Bob a new hero. Talking about life and stuff. I could watch them chat on all day. Maybe Chris could pick up the guitar and blast out some of his great music. Oh and Paul is a great guy too, for a southerner lol. Stay strong and healthy guys.
I forgot that Wales is in the South.
@@thejacal2704 hes a cockney isn't he. Any way Cardiff is south isn't it lol
what a wonderful bunch!
Keep on rocking Chris, your spirit and heart make up for the other bits failing. xx
You formed my youth Chris. Most beautiful songs ever written. All the best from Belgium🙏
bob should have his own chat show he is such an amazing interviewer
Legend and under-rated.
Cheers Chris - chuckin' a stone from down the road to rattle YOUR windows. Cheers man.
One of my favourite memories will be watch Chris playing in Bournemouth not long after my dad passed away...he was amazing.
How is Chris Rea still here . Sad but happy
Surely a snowy grey syrup would be the way forward
Thanks for all of the laughs Bob and Paul.Always makes my day.Happy Christmas to you both.x🤪😜😝
Genuine people.
Wonderful film sorry to hear of health issues and problems here and wishing all utmost best for 2023 to all the gents here 🌹

Love this tune here in the States.
Happy to see Chris ! 2024 I came home for Christmas.....
Wow! The humble genius that is Chris Rea. Marvellous 👌
Smashing!!

Loved this
Paul been waiting his whole life to ask Chris if he’s driving home 😂
Chris is my dearest musician!
His music so deep in my heart!
❤️❤️❤️
Would love to see a longer interview with Bob and Chris
Boro lass here love you lads and Paul 😅
When I mention Chris Rea to someone and they go, Who? I feel sorry for them because they've missed out on one of the most amazing musicians ever. Sting isn't even close.
I agree! Sting isn’t even close!
No one can compare to Chris.
@@SvetlanaAntoine-pr4gq And Sting is nasty piece of work to boot.
I saw Chris on his last tour at the Manchester Apollo,he was fantastic,he fell ill at a later gig and it was cancelled, bless him glad he is still around his music has got everything!
Chris Rea always seemed like an Alpha Male rock/pop star when I saw him on TV in the 90’s and after all he has been through he seems like more of a hero now.
Seeing these two in the flesh and imaging Chris running a hot bath for Bob and cracking an egg into it is absolutely hilarious 😂
Крис какой ты классный ❤!
What a pleasure to listen to those guy’s happy Xmas .
Lucky enough to have a brief chat with Chris at the Silverstone Classic car event a few years back, what a thoroughly nice fella, it was a chat I’ll never forget with one of my musical favourites. Seasons greetings to you all and a happy and prosperous 2023 👏👍😀
The 1980s what a time wired to the moon wearing a midnight blue suit and you were the reason ,you are the man Chris
And a dead cat to top it all off
I’m in good company with Chris then! Gall bladder still in place, part of my pancreas gone, bile duct reconstructed, duodenum gone, partial gastrectomy, right hand of liver gone. Kidney function still good though🤪
I remember back in Stillington, County Durham in the early-mid 70s (where I grew up), Chris used to practice in our village hall.
