@Ernest D'Menace Yep I agree that flooding will exacerbate in iloilo city once more if we fill up all the fishponds with new constructions that's why I think another floodway is needed across the molo-villa-oton. shoreline somewhere in between by boring into or across the Batiano River as well as building riverbank slope protection like in iloilo river. Or instead only partly fill up the fishponds to areas that is really needed and reserve the rests for aquatic farming just like before.
Correct ang suggestions nyo nga dapat magbuild sang new floodway to serve the area of molo-villa arevalo-oton Also correct for the Batiano river to be connected to Iloilo River and the floodway in order to create a new and deeper channel for Batiano. Connecting Batiano River to Iloilo will also provide a new waterway transportation route commercially and for tourism. Once the Batiano and Iloilo Rivers are connected through this artificial channel, tourists tlocals can travel by boat from Diversion Road to Villa Beach Arevalo using only small bancas or small fastcraft boats. Fantastic!

High salinity is not good for species of fishes that thrive on brackish water.
