I agree this is hard to understand without audio. Make your text deep enough that it can cover the curve of the primary object without going out the back of the primary object. Make a "cookie cutter box" that is larger than the entire primary object. Make the text into a hole and cut it into the cookie cutter box. Group the text with the cookie cutter box so that the letters are cut out of it. The make the entire cookie cutter box a hole. Duplicate the primary object and put it to the side. Use the cookie cutter box to remove all of the primary object except for the letters. The resultant object can be merged with the primary object to make letters come out the side and fit the contour of the primary object.
awesome! I couldn't think of how to do this myself. to stream line this process a bit....once you got the letters sticking out of the curved piece you could have also duplicated the curved piece and made it a hole and stepped it out over the letters to trim off the extra.
cant u explain? good video need audio u use some keys we dont see, for example when u copy the lether in the second text and make it round. lather i will see more time to try understand and practice. ty for share
It's because the text has to be rotated, requiring each letter to be its own object. Using the 'Duplicate and Repeat' function makes it a million times easier to make sure that all the letters are of uniform size, position, and spacing.
How can you group a fucking single item (when u click on the rectangle right after making the text to borehole) . Do u use any shortcuts which u dont explain?

Good god! That was so simple but something I would never have though about. Thanks.

Nicely done. Short and sweet and the exact effect I was going for.
Are there written directions for this? I'm new to Tinkercad and am not sure of all the steps for this.
Fantastic Work!!!!! Made a Yeti sleeve, personalized!!!!!

So, I followed your directions exactly, and it worked *perfectly*... BUT my mind still hurts from trying to figure out how it happened.
Thank you.
Always text,never logos,designs.
Couldn’t you just use the front face of the shape as a plane and drop the letters on it?
No explaination, no THUMB'S UP !
1:50 how you do this?
I love this, but can someone explain the duplication part? I don't understand the reason for doing that. Thank you.

I've been looking for the Wave shape and all I was able to find was the S Wall under Community shapes. Did you import a SVG curve and extrude it?
That was an extruded curve from the Shape Generator Menu.
Any step by step tutorial? Following along at speed is painful....
Reduce video's speed from settings...... Thanks me later 😉

Gracias, eres un genio....Saludos...
0:00 What Is That Shape?
Hey! It's an Extruded Curve.
