A Glock Style Trigger for the P365?!! Tyrant CNC IntelliFire Review

  • Tyrant CNC is introducing to the world a first of it's kind trigger for the Sig Saber P365 pistol platform, this is a one of it's kind design that brings the Glock style trigger safety bar to the Sig P365 for the first time ever. There's a lot I like about the Sig P365 and the nice flat trigger with no safety blade is one of those things...but I think the IntelliFire trigger from Tyrant CNC has changed my mind on that. Great trigger out of the box, so let's check it out!

    I HATE the p365 trigger. I assumed the sig would be better than the Glock, but it's not. BUT! I ordered one of these hoping that it could help...it's a 100% night and day difference. I like shooting my 365 now, my range drills are improved, and I let other 365 owners try it out as much as possible. It's a must if you are used to Glocks, and I would guess that it's a must if you are used to sig quality also. The OEM 365 trigger is the wooorrrrssstttt I've ever felt

    Great review, Thank you! I have this trigger in gold. Also got matching slide stop & take down lever (Al La Rose hoping to entice my wife into shooting but total fail on that objective! Felt gun was too blinged out for me with these and they were removed.).
    Back to trigger, with +- 500 rounds I completely agree with your review. That trigger has found a permanent home! I have had one small issue, the two screws loosened up at 300ish rounds. Applied a small drop of locktite to back end of each screw and problem solved. I do run the Wilson Combat grip module on my P365 X Macro Comp and trigger functions flawlessly.

      I’ve had two of them now with a couple thousand each through them and I’m still impressed. Definitely want the loctite! I didn’t put it on my first trigger and the screws never moved, I also didn’t put it on at first on the second one and they backed out on me too but a little drop and they’ve not moved. I appreciate you checking out the video and sharing your experience!🤙🏼

    The blade is in fact not flat which is why I did the Tyrant trigger, The Stock trigger is radiused which is not good it allows your finder to slide around and it just felt awkward to me but the Tyrant trigger saved the day along with the Armory Craft +10% trigger return spring and also their sear spring which puts me around a 3.6-3.7lb pull 😎

    Sold. I’m waiting for my back ordered trigger to ship (sometime in February 2024). I’m not sure if the lack of a trigger safety is really an issue with P365’s. Better safe than sorry. I’m rather fond of my junk. If carrying appendix, all it takes is one accidental discharge to ruin your week. I’ll feel safer carrying my p365 with an added level of security.

    I did order one. I guess it’s more of a comfort thing although I have gotten used to the fact it never came with the safety blade it does have a pretty defined wall but my x macro compared to my original p365 is a lot more mushy and less clicky and defined lighter also I don’t know what they changed from the 2nd batches I never got the first that had a few problems because they pulled them from the shops but I did get the revised version as soon as they got the shops again. I had to play with springs until I found a weight I liked and I finally did (all factory springs) still not as good as my original which I wish I kept just for the fcu and nice pull weight and feel for carry but before I did I was searching for a trigger like this I guess to have more confidence in it. Currently have the m carbo trigger. The tyrant will be at my door Friday can’t wait to install and see which I prefer if I like it and the safety blade fails as it is pretty much the only thing on it that can fail it’ll still function as a stock 365 trigger so who cares to all the experts against aftermarket and different designs because someone told them that’s bad and it adds more failure points only reason Sig never added one was because they wanted to set themselves apart and look where that got them maybe guns wouldn’t have went off when they got dropped 😂

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  8 месяцев назад +1

      Not off the top of my head, I didn’t have one to compare it to but going off my past experiences with one (years ago though) there are some similarities in overall feel of the trigger pull as well as length of pull and reset. Without the safety tab in the trigger the MCarbo may sit closer to the wall but that’s just differences in design. I don’t think there’s enough difference that it would be easily noticed under live fire for your average person though.

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  8 месяцев назад +1

      The trigger does have a functional purpose, Sig had a real problem with a run of P320s firing when dropped or falling due to the inertia and weight of the trigger letting the trigger pass the wall and discharge the firearm. A safety blade like this could prevent such scenarios.

  • @Libertarian_Neighbor

    Sig literally recalled their initial triggers because they were worried that their weight, and lack of a triggered Dingus, was the reason for them going off when dropped. This is something that would’ve been fixed with this style of trigger. Unlike a manual safety, the trigger safety does not change the operation or function of the firearm. It’s a win-win.

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  8 месяцев назад +2

      I recall the drop issues Sig had with the P320 a while ago because the trigger was heavier than it should have been. This certainly gives you some peace of mind regarding any of those concerns. And it makes for a great shooting experience.

    • @nomorerainbows
      @nomorerainbows 8 месяцев назад +1

      There was never a drop issue with 365s. This is literally fake news. If you are concerned about ND's with a 365 you can get one with an outstanding ambi safety. If Trigger dinguses were worth a damn for stopping NDs there would be no such thing as the term "Glock leg."

    • @ShinaniGunz
      @ShinaniGunz  8 месяцев назад +7

      In instances where the pistol is dropped or falls the safety blade can prevent reward motion of the trigger which is caused by inertia. Sig had a real issue with their P320 firing if dropped at a certain angle because the inertia along with the weight of the trigger itself allowed full reward movement of the trigger causing the pistol to fire. From a safety standpoint it *could* prevent this issue. That being said if something is inside your trigger guard there’s always the chance the safety blade will be deactivated. Functionally the trigger itself is better than the factory as far as travel distance and feel goes. I’m just providing information you get to decide what to do with it.
