The living room greenhouse is beautiful, but that grilled cheese gallery art kinda slaps, not gonna lie.
OH MY GOSH! The cat dream room! I'm absolutely tickled! You did such a good job. If I could, I'd give my kitties their own castle themed bedroom too because they are absolute queens. I giggled until I got teary eyed. Its great!
i could spend days reading in that fairy fountain room and i'm not even much of a reader
I think my favorite was either the mermaid room or the library room.

I kind of get the vibes that the pink pastel room belongs to a young single mom (to the Girl Scout) who took on raising her two younger sisters (the Mermaid & the almost teen). She struggled and worked hard and sacrificed a lot (she sold her paintings and grew her own organic veg to fuel her small little farm to table restaurant) and now that she's got her own home and the hell anyone is gonna tell her how an adult should live and like hell she's gonna squelch the creativity or ambitions of her sisters or daughter. In my mind, the mermaid teen is also a bit of a stem genius and figured out how to make the bubble blowers herself... and they're all awaiting to see if the child turned teen will grow up to be a mermaid like her one sister or a spellcaster like her other sister?

Maybe an adult(or their mom) loves to collect all kinds of cheese around the world and cook it into cheese-related recipes.

I'm thinking a bookworm single parent who is a fantasy novel writer. They always wanted to live their fantasy life as a child but their parents never allowed them. So as an adult, they let their children go wild with their imaginations and dreams. And decorate the house whatever way they want. So they all live like they're in a fantast novel. Oh and also, the parent likes to eat grilled cheese while writing😁

I am always blown away by your amazing building abilities in this game but the fact you were able to create a stunning grilled cheese themed kitchen is such a testament to your mind blowing skills.
Video Idea: Each room is inspired by a different piece of artwork? (You could set parameters such as must be publicly searchable in online museum databases/person provides a link to where its exhibited)... I feel like you'd get some interesting results.

I would LOVE to see you do the original concept that you had for this build. Like redo it with this shell, or do a completely different shell.
You could have a restaurant or a cafe (cat/howl cafe maybe), a yoga studio and maybe an esoteric store?

I really want to make sims inspired by this house!!! It feels like the perfect setting for a really interesting series about different occult children shunned by their families that have to figure out their magic or occult side effects while living in hiding together. Amazing as always, love it!

Love the girl scout themed one~ another challenge would be that you let your follower decide for the room, then make the one you picked and finnaly when you have all of them, windows and doors included you need to assemble them and make it a proper house. ^^ kinda like a reverse build challenge building inside out

Ugh it crushed me when you went over budget. I loved the plant wall divider and the campus shower combo! For some reason I really want to use a toilet against the sink combo in a build.

My one silly little critique: the greenhouse room has almost no windows!!? Ironically, it might be my favorite room. Also just to clarify the "critique" aspect is less about the plants (since they're pixels), and more about the fact that I'm not sure a greenhouse is a true greenhouse if it can't let in so much sun that it constantly feels like it's a thousand degrees.
Other than that, I am blown away as always by how Syd manages to crush every single challenge? And also is so quick and decisive and somehow always manages to make up some sim-scenario that makes these challenge houses weirdly cohesive/logical. Syd is genuinely _such_ an impressive builder/decorator.

I think this looks GREAT! It's like visiting a B&B where every room is a different theme. Too bad you couldn't give the black tile/middle of the floor bathroom the way you originally designed it though. It was so pretty! Dx
I would have done it in such a different way.. I think it would be so interesting to see a bunch of followers follow the exact same rules or directions and see the different outcomes

Ahhh missed opportunity to do the Windwaker fairy fountains. Underrated in my opinion. They're probably my personal favourite, as are the fairies in general in that game. I do love this build though, it was a lot of fun to watch!

this house would be perfect for natasha una from the sims 2, she lives in the free time expansion pack world and is a quirky artist with the grilled cheese aspiration, someone should recreate her in sims 4 and give her her dream life here

LMAO I downloaded this house for my sims to live in recently without watching the video and I never even noticed the grilled cheeses I actually laughed at myself while watching this because I didn’t even notice the obsessed art and stuff 😭 I was confused by some of the placements and the upstairs bathroom so I just changed a couple of things on my own but now everything makes sense, I LOVE your videos and your builds! I’ve been obsessed with all your videos for a whole month now and I still can’t believe you’re not a GC! ❤

With the exception of the 1k bathroom (and that wasn't even because of the toilet placement but instead lack of budget) I actually kinda love this house. Each room is so unique, you can honestly say this house is one of a kind. Great video Syd!
My favorite room was the library room at the very end! Even though it was in an awkward shape it came together so beautifully!
Also i agree, having a spellcaster background definitely makes the eccentricities of the house make sense! This is exactly the kind of house that i would expect a bunch of fairies or casters or something to be living in~

I love how your builds look, they are very inspiring and often really creative - but I just can't build like that. When I build I'm constantly thinking about storage space, easy to clean spaces and pracital layouts - it's awful but I can't help it... 😭

SOME BUILD IDEAS! Since Lunar New Year is coming up (Jan 22), it would be cool to see some Chinese zodiac themed tiny houses, maybe one of them being rabbit themed for the upcoming Year of the Rabbit.
Another idea would be a build that incorporates Feng shui principles, or maybe one that breaks them if you’re feeling especially chaotic, could do both and make them neighboring apartments.
The weird laugh the fairies would do freaked me tf out when I was little!! Like why did they have to cackle demonically, what was the reason

Ive been watching so many of your videos for inspiration because my friend challenged me to grab a big house from the gallery and decorate it, but using only base game things, which works because I havent installed any packs or anything yet, but this will be painful
I think this house belongs to a group of ancient spellcasters who have come to explore and indulge in the modern world. They just so happen to be doing so as teenage girls! They worship cats, are obsessed with grilled cheese, and are each finding their own passions in this new life. Chaos ensues 😂

Very ramble-like thought dump ahead, sorry!
Eldest - spell caster (library room)
Second - mermaid (mermaid room, fountain)
Third - vampire? (Growing up room)
Youngest - werewolf / touch of nature kinda gal (gnomes) (Girl Scout)
Am imagining they’re all runaways, and the entire house is funded and runs on both the spell caster’s magic AND their probably hidden writer career :p the grilled cheese kitchen was probably the pre-teen vampire’s idea, who now is going through an edgy phase and is thinking about moving out ?? The mermaid is very chill and enjoys being in her own room while the Girl Scout is definitely the one who brought the gnomes in!
The fairy fountain would be a place where the mermaid secretly loves despite the fact that it’s the girl scout’s own port, as the mermaid and vampire probably enjoys hanging out and sleeping in the art room. On second thoughts, the vampire could just, not be a vampire at all, and is in fact a regular human, who grew up surrounded by supernaturals and is kind of insecure about her family dynamics when compared to regular ones. Probably source of her anxieties.

What if it’s a family of spellcasters (teen and two young siblings) whose parents died and left them the house. The teens best friend who happens to be a mermaid moved in and because there’s no large masses of water nearby, she uses the fairy fountain to get in a good dose of hydration.
Omfg, you should do a whole castle or something inspired by LoZ Twilight Princess!! I wasn't super into LoZ but I got Twilight Princess for the Wii and everything about that game is just so stunning and magical! My favorite aspects are of course Mr Wolf Link (which you could use werewolves to tie in that element) and all of the nature.. There were a few really gorgeous ponds in the game and of course lots of woods. I never actually was able to beat the game but I enjoyed it while I could 😂 I've never been good at video games, I definitely prefer ones that are relaxing and don't require a lot of effort. I love fantasy role-playing type games too obviously so I played WoW for a while as well. I played that one race that starts with d?? She was a hunter because I loved having a pet lol
And yet again, it's actually cute along with the quirky.
