Looks like the House was owned by a single guy, who loved modern and industrial design. He Got married to his dream Girl, and her style was completely different from his. She is slowly changing up the House, to her style, but she is not done yet, which is why it doesnt all fit together🤷♀️
This series is so fun! Since none of the rooms seemed to match each other (at least in this episode) could you maybe do a follow up where you pick your favorite room from every "social media designs my builds" and then build a house around it? I've found I'm much more creative when building in the sims when I start off with a particular room and then build the house out from that
I think that this sim is an eclectic, midlife crisis, sim. This sim goes thrifting a lot and has combined all of the random items that they have collected into this random house. I think that this sim would have such an out there look and just a funky personality. This sim found so many items while thrifting (such as the really weird style of the dining area) and couldn't pass them up. I think that this would be a sim that kind of honestly looks like Penny Pazzas. And yeah! lmk what you think :) Love you Syd!
Okay - I think I am ready to write some LORE. This home belongs to an Instagram influencer who uses the different rooms for their different streams of income. Downstairs Bathroom - They make those cute soaps. Which goes with the Bakery Room - They make those cute cupcake soaps. Industrial Living room - Where they take pictures of their instant tattoo business. In the kitchen, they make those cool marble/gemstone tumblers. Upstairs bathroom - They make those peel-and-stick wallpapers - and constantly change the wallpaper. And their bedroom is the blank space where they reset. They like all of these different business ventures and made the house fit those. HAHA this is so dumb (my story). I love watching you make IRL pictures come to life in the Sims even if they are atrocious. 🤣😂
the sim who lives here is clearly a teacher of design history, so fascinated by his work that he has dedicated each room to a different period or artistic movement!
Good to know about the debug plant not giving off shadows! I like sizing down those jungle adventure plants a lot, but always have to figure out ways to hide that shadow! Will def be opening debug next time!

Honestly kudos to you for pushing through the chaos that was this build. I loved every second of it. I think this sim is in the process of renovating this house that has belonged to some interesting characters in the past. The outside fits their style more but the inside is a whole other beast lol.

Hey Syd, I started doing this too in my game because of your videos and I’ve made the cutest houses ever. One thing I did was if I had a certain exterior that inspired me, I started looking up things that went with that aesthetic. Like I just built a cabin because a cabin was the first picture, so I looked up “cabin study/cabin kitchen” maybe that’ll help or be a new idea for you!
I was looking up rooms myself while I watched this. If you ever do a part two, using # to look rooms up helps keep it slightly more cohesive in a way (eg. #kitchen) also for the office looking up home office gives you the good options for offices. Instagram seems to be very particular about the wording you use when looking up stuff. My build ended up being a bit all over the place too. Hope this helps 💜💜💜 love the social media rooms series and your determination to finish off the build despite the difficulty ☺️
When I was shopping for my house, I actually visited a house that had the same vibe has this build. Kitchen: white tiles with ransom boats. Dinning room: vintage looking flowery wallpaper with dark wood trim. Bathroom: Mirrors everywhere, a cupid and columns. The family room in the basement had a Mona Lisa picture, a suit of armour and a terracotta looking fireplace. It was very weird.
I just loved the variaty of styles in the house !! you should do a video where you build a typical house from à specific country (like a german house, parisian building, spanish house...) it would be a good way to showcase some non american architecture :)

I think that's the house of a couple that met in collage doing the industrial disign career and they love each other very very much but they have the most different taste in interior disign. So they tried many styles, but nothing was perfect for the both of them. The good part is that clients when they ask questions about styles the couple can show them examples with living spaces of their own house. And by doing that both understad more the other person ~if you see english mistakes pls correct me, love from Argentina 💙
The house gives me vibes of different interior decorators were hired at different times or at the same time and basically fought over which room to decorate causing everything to clash because each interior decorator had a different style and the owner was just "I love it :D!"

Day 5 (?) of suggesting this! Hey Syd! I have a build idea for you and I think it would turn out so cool with your creativity. The idea is to build a house that looks just like any home. It has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, couple of bedrooms, etc. The twist is that nothing in this house is actually functional. So you need to use objects that aren,'t fuctional or place items so that your sims can' t use them. They can't cook, go to bed or shower, use the toilet or sit anywhere. The challenge is to still make it look like a nice home. Just an idea I tought would be nice to share. Thank you for making so amazing content as you do

A lot of people have lived in this house and over time it has been a tradition to leave one of the rooms furnished for the next person so all the rooms have been furnished and now they live in a house with a bunch of other peoples furniture
The Sim who lives in the house loves traveling and taking stuff back home from their travels. They love the styles they've seen around the world, but they are very indecisive.
Definitely a vampire house. Husband and Wife who have lived through so many styles and eras bringing old and new things into the picture. They are currently on the run from the downworld, so they are in Sulani because .... who would look for vampires there???
