It’s sad what happened to Amy her dad wanted her to get help and go rehab but her boyfriend who was a failed rock&roller kept her on the drugs to pay for his habit it was a toxic relationship Amy was one of a kind she was bridging the gap between RnB and jazz which had never been done before she got people back into jazz at a time when people stopped listening to jazz RIP Amy
I watched the documentary 'Amy' Her bodyguard said that she was watching clips of herself on youtube the night before she died. she remarked to him "I've got a pretty good voice haven't I" and he agreed.... after that she said " I would give it all back just to be able to walk down the street as a normal person". Been thinking of that ever since. She was totally miked dry . RIP AMY
she actually tried to get help, but the biggest problem she had was the fact that there were too many people around her that where just there for the ride, and instead of encouraging her to stay clean they just added more and more pressure to her life.
I must have heard Rehab dozens, if not hundreds of times, as I have all Amy's music, and like all the greats, such as Hendrix, I hear something new each time. RIP Amy.
I saw the movie/documentary about her life. It was very sad, especially her battling her addictions. 27 years, great voice, soulful music, and brutally personal lyrics. Her father said she didn't need rehab, so she didn't go. That was in the documentary.
She passed away and joined the "27 years old club" IN HEAVEN , with other pop or rock stars always found their death at the age of 27: JIM MORRISON (The doors) JIMMY HENDRIX BRIAN JONES (Rolling Stones) KURT KOBAIN (Nirvana) JANIS JOPLIN
She is a gone to soon legend. Please do Her song ‘Back to Black’ live acoustic from silver bullet channel or ‘Love is a loosing game’ live at mercury prize 2007. Love your reactions.
Amy was an amazing singer ❤. She had such a troubled life which wasn't helped by the constant paparazzi. Anyone going through the addiction s she went through would have gone crazy with paparazzi practically living on her door step.she had a very turbulent relationship which was also not helped with the media attention. Poor girl was tortured by them. she was so talented .she was only 27 when she died.rip Amy. 💕💖❤💔
Amy is such a legend! Unfortunately nobody in Amys life (her lover , her father) seemed to have cared enough for Amy like she cared for them. Which led to her undoing. Would love to see you react to more of her music. Some good recommendations already in the comments but i'd like to ad "In my Bed" , and "Tears Dry on Their Own" by her
The boyfriend yes, he dragged her down, he recovered, she didn’t. You are disgracefully out of order with your comments about her father though. Callous and totally false comments, when you think of how much he tried to help her and how he’s suffering to this day. It’s too easy to make hurtful throwaway comments these days.
Great reaction. you are wise beyond your years. Amy should be with us now. crackin out fantastic songs. Give 'Valerie' a whirl. her cover of the Zootons song.
Love her voice, love her lyrics, her songs and her look as it was truly wonderful and unique, it was a sad day for the music industry when she died. Not many artists have such talent like she did. Do Back to Black next :)
I think you're spot on with your analogy of her not thinking she needed or wanted help but everyone around her telling her she did and tragically the people telling her she needed help were correct.
First timing with you, but I needed some of my girl. Ms. Winehouse always 🔥 hits the spot. I wish i could had offer her just what she needed. Rip my Angel 😇. Great reaction and recognition.

This song, you are right, is so honest about her life. What a tragic story, watch the documentary about her. She has so much soul in her voice. Her father was a monster, he wanted her to keep doing drugs to exploit her.
She said that her and Mark were walking down the street and she was telling him about her old management trying to make her go to rehab. She sang the hook and he laughed and said that sounds like a song, so they went back to his studio and she wrote it on the guitar, in ten mins.
I really think family and friends can only do so much. If someone refuses help all you can do is keep that door open but you need to close the door to enabling someone's addiction.
Do the rehab PT. You don't want to be 75 and it's too late and everything hurts. Also, TENS units are safe and effective alternatives to opioids They shouldn't be offering you both of those at the same time.
I watched Chelse lately a talk show and comedian make fun of Amy's looks.women need to stop tearing down each other..Nobody knew what she was going thru.
In this song she means "friend" as in heroin. She is using it instead of alcohol. Her "Daddy" is her dealer, she's not referring to her father. People around her probably didn't think that was a good way to avoid alcoholism. I think you were totally right about the beginning if someone tells you you need help, you probably need help. I think she was kind of saying "I've already heard it all. I'm fine." She was not fine, and I think she knew that.
i think you’re looking to deep into her lyrics. i think she meant what she said. she was a really blunt person which is why her music is so relatable. her dad told her he didn’t think she needed to go to rehab and she actually had lost her two best friends (lauren and juliette) so she wanted them back in her life but couldn’t bc they didn’t want to be around her drug abuse
@@thisone1chick1 Welp, her dad was wrong. And I guess we'll never know the real inner truth, because she's dead. So I stick by the interpretation. Heroin addicts have lots of "daddies". And not just their actual dad. She was a smart enough songwriter to know what symbolism is. Most song lyrics, at least the well thought out ones, have double meanings. It's hard to understand it in the current music scene of "juicy, baby, lala, yum, bae, dribble" but it's something poets and real songwriters know how to do.
@@catserver8577 I don’t want to discredit songwriters of today (because i think there are many talented, they just don’t perform) but I do agree she was an amazing songwriter in her symbolism. she hadn’t been taking hard drugs when this album came out, only smoking weed and only after she and blake got married had she tried heroin and crack cocaine. I think it’s a nice interpretation you made but she quiet literally wasn’t doing heroin when she wrote this song
You're one of the few people I've seen react to this song. Ironic she needed rehab more than anything, yet sang a song where she flipped everyone off regarding getting help. Gone way too soon
Thanks for sharing. If you have a minute, I posted a cover of Ed Sheeran. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you'd take a listen. It's on my channel. Hope you like it!

AMEN 🙏 ✝️ 🙏
Her father is a total STUGATZ who even tried to cash in on his daughter's death to launch his own music career 💔

She was a legend. Please do more! Her voice 🙏🙏
Amy's story is very sad. She was such an amazing talent gone from the world too soon. Please react to more of her, all of her music is amazing
It was her father that told her not to go he said she was ok.
It is sad that she sang about addiction and eventually died from it :(

It's a cool song, but when I hear it I'm reminded her troubles with drugs, FAME, toxic people, etc and it's sad. RIP Amy.
Having a drink or drug problem is not easy. Pretty sure Amy got the rough deal.
she was fragile from an early age, fame was not what she wanted or could handle.
I think you're spot on with your analogy of her not thinking she needed or wanted help but everyone around her telling her she did and tragically the people telling her she needed help were correct.
I wish she woulda went to rehab...she might be alive today. RIP Amy!

She was great. Some folk although ,just can't beat the addiction. It's true. Very nice review.
Just found ur channel, and I listened to ur commentary and I just thought wow wat a beautiful soul.

Yes, you are on point about getting help. Truth.
She didn't have time because she needed to get her music done as much as possible and her love life because she knew she couldn't quit.
Awww RIP Amy
Such a beautiful reaction, love this channel 😗
Robert Burr Thank you
Part of the 27 Club ... Janis Joplin ... Jim Morrison ... Jimi Hendrix ... and others.
Your smile is so beautiful and contagious!
She didn't go to rehab. She died. Another talented angels from God shot down from crack-cocaine and alcohol abuse.
I'm an addict....Your spittin Truth
This song, you are right, is so honest about her life. What a tragic story, watch the documentary about her. She has so much soul in her voice. Her father was a monster, he wanted her to keep doing drugs to exploit her.
In case you’re curious. Apparently she wrote this song in 15 minutes on a napkin while flying home.
Edit: Typo
Not really, watch the mark ronson interview at Howard sterns show, he tells you how they came up together with it one evening they brainstormed
She said that her and Mark were walking down the street and she was telling him about her old management trying to
make her go to rehab. She sang the hook and he laughed and said that sounds like a song, so they went back to his studio and she wrote it on the guitar, in ten mins.
All she needed was a friend…..😢❤

React to Back to black live acoustic by Amy Winehouse plssss
Kimera! Got you
White woman sounds like black women. Awesome.
great reaction, true insight
I wish I had a friend like you.
So sad that she wouldn’t go though. She was an amazing talent who died too young to addiction.
You are wise beyond your years!
Hand on heart.
I think about this song every time my doctor suggest physical therapy. And opioids. And a TENS treatment. No, no, no..
Do the rehab PT. You don't want to be 75 and it's too late and everything hurts. Also, TENS units are safe and effective alternatives to opioids They shouldn't be offering you both of those at the same time.
My mother is in rehab and there is where she ought to be.
I saw Amy live, even got a a peck on the cheek. X
Sadly...she should of went. Her poor daddy tried everything. Even begging her fans to help her..R.I.P Amy
This SONG❣️❣️❣️❣️
RIP Amy
Amy didn't go to rehab...AND she died!!!
You can't fix my broken 💔.

So sad she sings about not wanting to go to rehab and passes away of a drug overdose. Fuck drugs! Take. Too many legends away.
Wish she'd said yes, yes yes.
R.I.P.
A tragedy for sure.... so sad she's gone way too young
Stay positive.
