Update: I just want to say that I have never received this many comments on anything that I've made throughout my entire life! I want to thank you all for just doing that. As well as all the positive encouraging comments that have "moved" me towards gaining a brighter future. Unfortunately, sadly, after 336 days of sobriety, I have once again relapsed on alcohol following the break up of a 2-year long situationship(Yes, situationship. That means I never even got the chance to meet her in person for a date.) As I am writing this comment, I am confirming now that I've already stopped drinking and have begun a new sobriety date. I will post an update video soon on the result of my sobriety. Until then, stay blessed, stay happy 😊
One slip doesn't mean you can't get back on your feet - and you have! I don't know you but I'm so proud of you for regaining your sobriety after a really hard knock. Don't beat yourself up - that was yesterday and today is a new brighter day. I predict that you'll soon meet your soulmate - what's meant to be, will be. Love from Canada.
I'll be praying for you even tho this is the first time listening to your channel! One artist you need to listen to is Angelina Jordan, particularly her song Good in Goodbyes. She may have a message for you? I hope so! ❤ She just dropped her long awaited album and there's a couple of terrific songs on there. RIP Amy Winehouse ❤
I think Amy died from alcohol poisoning. She'd been sober and fell off the wagon, and like many addicts who relapse whatever drug they are addicted to, she thought she had the same tolerance level. Please be careful guys. Just remember the tolerance you had by the time you stopped took AGES to build and disappears pretty quickly.
Huh! Her blood alcohol was 3.0. NOT .03, or .30, but 3.0. At her tiny weight and high tolerance, that wouldn't have been impossible. Acute poisoning. I'd just like to have been her friend and hugged her. She has such a vulnerability about her.
Never seen you before but great reaction video, this is how you make reaction videos, no interrupting the video every 2 seconds, no crazy background, just a person and his thoughts. Rest in peace Amy
My AA big book has many dates scratched out. I relapsed after 6 months with alcohol. I thought I was the only one who just couldn’t get it. I kept going. The last date I wrote was 11/11/2011. I haven’t had to scratch it out yet. It’s possible. Stick with it. What have you got to lose?
Amy stated that through her youth, her father played a lot of Frank Sinatra. She grew up with this music implanted within her. It's haunting that these Spirits come, stay long enough to give us gold and long before they're old...they're gone onto another journey. So many to even try and deny. She's another in that unexplainable 27 Club.
She died from serious sadness. She is greatly missed. She was a musical genius. Her voice & her spirit were and still are very special. Addiction is a disease that is rarely treated properly. Very familiar with it. Light & grace, to you.
This song today, knowing how her addiction took her from the world, is a testament to the danger of denying the problem If you never find the strength to reach for help from the depths, you can drown
3.5 years here....after hiding it the entire 23 years I was marrièd I was terrified to ask for help. After a heart attack at 46 years old and being diagnosed with crohns disease after landing in ICU it was time. My husband held me so tight and cried with me for hours. Within a week I was in detox and continue to go to my recovery center for random drug screens so i will be held accountable. Still dont trust myself most days but my life has changed dramatically for the better. Dont give up! You'd be surprised how many people care. The stigma has to stop.❤
This old but, one stumble doesn't mean your whole road is broken. You're a young man and you can walk down your road, and go around the things that make you stumble.
So sad that Amy Winehouse became a member of the 27 Club. My brother went into rehab around the same time he went through hell and found Jesus who set him free. Don't let one relapse get to you think about where you want to be this time next year. X
It was always sad, but knowing what happened with her makes it even more so. I'm so sry you stumbled, it's hard not to with so many blocks laying around. Get up, dust yourself off and keep walking, and do the same thing if you catch another one. I'll pray for you to find your clear straight path, because it's there. TY for the great reaction to an awesome talent taken too soon..
Thank you for your reaction to AW, and talking about your struggles. I know, with your reaction channel will give a bit of a boost to your life. Amy struggled, and unfortunately help came too late for her, but I hope her music and Vibe can give you hope. One world, one people..... Cheerio from Down Under 🌺
Keep going mate! Amy had a shit boyfriend who fed her and deprived her of a future. She was so bestowed with him. Good luck and stay away from those buddies on drugs who will tell you they are your best friends. Hope your futures bright❤❤
Hey Nigel! Thanks for sharing! I'm sorry you drank and or used yesterday, but remember, you just have today. Because you drank after so many months of sobriety, means nothing for today. We only need to be sober one day at a time. Get yourself into a good meeting so you have support. Do ninety meetings in ninety days. See if you can find a sponsor if you don't have one already. Don't be discouraged. The fact that you drank just means you needed to do a little more investigating before you realized that you truly want to be sober. I can hear it in your voice!! You got this! I know you do!
I get to the point at the end, I promise! Please read to the end. 😂 I went to 7 months of AA meetings daily to support a friend. Then I went to weekly Alanon meetings which were MY people (I have zero interest in alcohol or drugs). So I have heard the stories from alcoholics. My Alanon group (4 women) literally gave me an actual laundry basket FULL of speaker cassette tapes.😂😂😂 they were mostly AA speaker tapes, some Alanon. I listened to them all and many are available free on RUclips. Father Tom is my favorite. Very funny guy! EVERYONE relapses. EVERYONE. It is part of the process of sobriety. You relapse. You start again, one day at a time, one nanosecond at a time. It’s okay. You relapse. You start again. Someone with 45 years can relapse. Even if someone never drinks but they spend 45 years as a dry drunk angry and irritated all the time, that’s NOT sobriety. It’s all about sobriety. Listen to speaker tapes. Binge on speaker tapes and the AA and Alanon literature. NA too if that’s more relatable. I really enjoyed all of it. The big book of AA is awesome too! I loved Lois’s tapes (bill W.’s wife). The slogans help!!!! One day at a time. The serenity prayer. H. A. L. T. Am I hungry? Am I angry? Am I lonely? Am I tired? Hungry: eat something healthy. Protein. Drink water. Angry: breathe deeply, swim, put on soothing music, sing, ride a bike, run, fresh air, surf, watch cartoons, etc. Lonely: call your sponsor first. Chat with new friends. Go bowling. I’m an introvert so I’m happy alone! Tired: take a nap. Sleep. Rest in a hammock. Watch more cartoons.😂
hang in there. keep going. it's all part of a big path that is your life. you are very much not alone with your struggle. keep coming back. and Amy Winehouse is one of the greats. an original talent. thrilling.
It's all true what Amy says in this iconic song...some people around her at the time suggested she go to re-hab to try & beat her drink & drug addictions, but her father told her she was fine and didn't need to go. She was such a wonderfully talented singer and such a tragic loss to all of us who loved her. ❤ 🙋♂
Tony Bennet, so talented, so experienced, compadre with many of the old-time fabulous musicians did a song with Amy. He praised her talent as special, up there with the greats that he'd co-existed with. He knew the loss of incredible talent to addictions. He lamented the death of Amy to drugs. She was exceptional yet a death to drugs is ordinary. Sad. One day at a time. Acknowledge a higher power. Be humble. Be grateful. All the best.
Those are my two favorites of hers along with Valerie. Bravo to your honesty and vulnerability to talk about struggles with addiction. Took me 30 years before I wanted to get on the path of recovery. 5 years in April.
7:04 Hey man DON'T YOU DRINK WITHOUT ME. LOL Now listen man you can do this. I am a brother of the tribe AA and am 41years sober and still go to 3 meetings a week. My 1st year in sobriety wasn't a feeling it was a discipline. There's a difference between attending AA and being in AA. See you around AA's campus.
This is my first time to see your channel. You're awesome! You are definitely not alone my friend. Eight years ago, I lost my husband due to liver failure caused by his constant drinking. It was a horrible death and gut-wrenching to have to watch him die that way. In my opinion, it is the worst of addictions because it's completely legal and socially acceptable to drink. It's a hard demon to kick to the curb, but it can be done! My current boyfriend happens to be ex-husband #2 (over 20 years between then and now!). He also used to drink. He quit in 2000 and hasn't looked back. It is extremely difficult, but YOU CAN DO THIS. Love yourself more than you love the alcohol - you are SO worth it!!!! Peace, love, and healing to you, my Metal brother.❤
If you love Amy who had a jazz background...I can guarantee you will love the voice of Angelina Jordan try NOW IM THE FOOL. This 17 year old has written a sultry soulful jazzy origional with a funky vintage pop beat and great lyrics. It'd my current favourite song by any living female solo artist. People like to compare her to Amy but coming straight off listening to Amy you will clearly see the differences, and in my personal opinion the comparison does not disadvantage either. Angelina is a deeply compassionate person it comes out in a warmer tone. I love Amy. I think getting into Angelina her story and life will be inspiring in a different way. I have heard many people who have followed her since she was a child testify to the healing quality of her emotional voice. She gave away her shoes to an orphan with scarred feet when she was 6 and has not performed in shoes since Her career began with her NGT audition at 7 years old with GLOOMY SUNDAY also known as the Hungarian suicide song. Then dhe performed BANG BANG in the semi final and Summertime for her win. She has used her success yo help raise millions for children's charities. She has had an adult sounding voice since a tiny child and has a devoted international fan base called Angels. Please give her a go.
Stay strong my friend. Take each day one at a time. As Amy says in the song all she really needed was a friend. We all do. Stay on the journey, keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get there. The journey is hard, don't beat yourself up for resting a while. You were strong enough to get up and continue travelling. Good luck, keep walking god bless you.
This is the first time I’ve watched you and I subscribed because you made yourself vulnerable and your reaction was honest. I look forward to seeing more videos from you.
I’ve struggled my whole life since 14 with drugs n alcohol so her music was real deal. Like so many great artists. I finally had 2 years clean then relapsed and cleaned up again in 2018 til Jan 2023. Lost wife to Covid and just lost my head. I’m trying to get clean again but life’s a mofo.lol… I need to get back to sobriety.
Love her still. She was one of a kind, destined to be famous like Morrison, Joplin, etc. I'm 59. I just realized I referenced the 27 Club. Completely unintentional.
I highly recommend the Keto Diet to anyone trying to kick alcohol. Alcohol is turned into sugar in your liver, sugar is a carbohydrate that is addicting. Most people don't consider overeating an addiction, I know that it is. And Keto has freed me from the craving, restlessness, and anxiety, maybe it can help free you from alcohol. It's worth a try. I subscribed, nice to meet you!
Part of the problem with hard drugs is the romance of hard drugs . Amy fell for it and next thing she knew she was addicted . Death was nearby . I really like her voice .
Nigel, please don't let any guilt you might feel for relapsing yesterday send you back to drinking again. That's the way it'll get you!! I speak as one who knows. I'm 23 years dry now but I relapsed a few times myself before I finally cracked it. 🙋♂
Dude you are in my prayers. You are not alone. Not preaching to you but there is Jesus that loves you and no matter what we have done he will forgive us and help us get well and forgive and give us life forever in heaven! God bless!
First time listening to you, I liked your true and honest thoughts brudda, such a beautiful soul gone too soon 🙏 I'd like to turn you on to an artist with influences from Amy,Billy holiday, Etta James, and Ella. This young lady is a child prodigy, raised loving Jazz ,her name is Angelina Jordan the Barefoot Princess 👣 you'll see a lot of Amy influences she just dropped her latest EP with Republic Records. You won't regret it. All positive.
Been there with my mother am 62 when she die she was just 42 and she went out drinking one night and never wake and from Caribbean and the rum we have in nothing compared to they sell is the west , watching this destroy my mother life i promise myself at a very early years i would never drink and i dont years can go by before i have a drink. Because I see what it can do. But i remember my mom telling us at a young age it will kill u cant kill and it did kill her.
You got this don't know if you heard Jelly Roll save me my heart Goes out to you, it's been a little bit since this was posted. I don't know if you'll see it or not sure hope you do.
i know her alcohol level was high at the time she died, even she used to consumed more than that in the deep of her addiction. alcohol wasnt the only thing that killed her, it was her BULIMIC/EATING DISORDER. her body was too weak after all of her self-destructive behaviour in her troubled years! 😢 i cant imagine how churn her soul was....
Hey , Get back up on that horse and keep on rideing and thanks for your honesty. Amy DoD not die from a drug oberdose. She died from alcohol poisining. When she died cried like a baby.
WHAT 😮 u never heard of Amy Winehouse b4? Bro 😎 where u been man? Well sit back, relax and enjoy cause she will blow you up. Once u hear her you cant unhear her. She be in your heD for days man. 😅 Dont say i didnt watn ya. 😂
I didn't mean comment as a criticism, just shocked was all. I just think apart from Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holloway , Amy is the best female vocalist of this century . She is technically sooo talented and because she has a low contralto voice, which for women is so hard to do and you don't hear it often and also with her style of blue-eyed soul and other mixtures of genre . Makes her a once in a lifetime singer. It makes me sooo pissed that she died so soon. Cheers
I did never great music, did'nt anything great for the planet and struggled with slight alcohol overdosing for the last 30 years. Still living at age 51. There is a way of descision by universe. Maybe I'm next tomorrow. Her way was just too excessive! I'm no Believer, but may god be with her. She was the best after the godfathers, pink floyd, led zeppelin , deep purple, janis joplin, queeen, and so much more. Between them and her was a big gap. And nobody actually is able to get close to this or carry on with "real music"!!! Give me a greater Name, no Lady Gaga, she's great but other genre.
Update: I just want to say that I have never received this many comments on anything that I've made throughout my entire life! I want to thank you all for just doing that. She was so talented. We lost a beautiful soul when she died.

Great reaction. Kept going you're not alone, in my first yr of recovery myself, One day at a time brother
Thanks for your words of encouragement. I really meant it and appreciate it 🙏
Don’t give up, just keep moving forward.
What you do is keep going, you had 325 days and only 1 bad day, don't give up like you threw it all away because you didn't.

Prayers for Miss Winehouse and Family😢

If it was easy, everyone would do it. Great reaction my bro. Stay clean
Look how healthy and beautiful she was in this video
Keep going mate! Amy had a shit boyfriend who fed her and deprived her of a future. She was so bestowed with him. Good luck and stay away from those buddies on drugs who will tell you they are your best friends.
Hope your futures bright❤❤
Yes he was the daddy, her own Dad was trying to get her into rehab, but we know the sad outcome....
I hope you are well. I so wish Amy would have gone to rehab, she might still be with us. Who knows.
Many positive vibes to you sir, let go of who you are, only then can you see where you are really at. there is nothing to fear. Good Luck
Hope you're well, great video. Amy has such an amazing voice.

Her death was a deep loss, she was truly talented and Amazing. Her addiction was stronger than life. 😔😔

Love Amy....beautiful songbird....
Such a beautiful yet troubled girl with such an unique talent. Her music was uniquely honest. Sich a loss❤

What a bad ass woman she was. Thank you for everything you gave to us.
Much love to you 💜
My daughter passed also .....the world can be a tough place sometimes
Keep the faith bro day by day
Cool reaction. You should also do 'Back to Black' and 'You know I'm no good'.
I don't know why you want me to react to those, but I'm more than willing to 😄
Those are my two favorites of hers along with Valerie.
Bravo to your honesty and vulnerability to talk about struggles with addiction. Took me 30 years before I wanted to get on the path of recovery. 5 years in April.
Those are my favorites, too. So good.

18 years clean it can be done but it's work still everyday
Stay strong man you are worthwhile. 🫶
Recovery is a daily intentional effort. A relapse can be discouraging. Learn from it. Grow from it. Continue your efforts. ❤️
Stay strong my friend. Take each day one at a time. As Amy says in the song all she really needed was a friend. We all do. Yo man, the algo sent me. Please take care of yourself duder.
So glad to hear your working your sobriety again.
Drugs took my brother , take good care of yourself , long time gone . CHEERS

so sad she was taken from this earth too soon. I hope her soul found peace
God bless you do not give up ❤️she died of alcohol poisoning
At home with Ray! So cool
I love her music and she wrote for herself. Sorry, Little Darlin' RIP. Her blood alcohol was 3.0, NOT .3, BUT 3.0. I wish I could've hugged her.
Stay strong, I struggle with alcohol 🦋🦘🦘🦘
This is her best song IMO. A cautionary tale. With a sad end.
Dude you are in my prayers. You are not alone. Not preaching to you but there is Jesus that loves you and no matter what we have done he will forgive us and help us get well and forgive and give us life forever in heaven! God bless!

She just needed a friend. 😢
i know her alcohol level was high at the time she died, even she used to consumed more than that in the deep of her addiction. alcohol wasnt the only thing that killed her, it was her BULIMIC/EATING DISORDER. her body was too weak after all of her self-destructive behaviour in her troubled years! 😢 i cant imagine how churn her soul was....

I've watched two documentaries. I know everything about the boyfriend, backlash from the paparazzi, and ofc what drugs she used.
Cheers
If only...
She didnt die of a drug overdose she died as a result of drug and alcohol abuse. Her family failed her
Too bad she didn’t go to rehab. 😔
🙏❤️🫂
Alcohol is a drug.
Why is Amy Winehouse just lately getting popular on RUclips? She's been dead for a while now.
