4:49 is it snowing or is that volcanic ash you know there's a volcano that's going off erupting right now in Italy right I'm curious as to why I haven't heard you talk about it yet I would assume that's big news around you
Best AG1 video I have seen. Great job of outlining stress and other nutrients. I never paid attention to anyone else's ads, but yours is the best. The laughter explaining things was spontaneous and not canned. Well done 👍
Are you not going to have any exposed stones inside the house.
I just ordered some AG1 on your recommendation, I sure hope it works.
Thanks for the offer but we have similar product in Australia and I am allready taking it. Very kind of you.🫂🫶
Don’t feel negatively about not filming, you’re creating a work of beauty! The architecture of your home is amazing and watching all of you is very interesting and inspiring! 🥰👍🏽
Well said👍
I am 70 and you are doing something I would have loved to tackle when I was your age....the spot you have chosen is pure magic....the view, the church bells....perfect!!!
I second that emotion, hairyscotman! I am in my early 70's & truly wish my husband & I could do 'it' over again. Watching this incredible young couple create their life in this adventurous quest makes me very happy for them & at times I feel sad for me. Their choice of location , the views, their land , Stone House & the bells from the church below make their spot ethereal/sublime! Cheers!
That little, red, motorized cart has been worth its weight in gold.
Beautiful arched doorway!
I was thinking that on this video. I don’t see how they’d manage without it.
The guys work incredibly hard (you included Brady) - they are so proud of their work ... just incredible.
The amount of work you've accomplished with the lousiest weather is just astounding. You're making great progress, and the sun must come out soon!
Brady, you are probably the hardest worker/YTUBER I follow. Your willingness to take on all tasks in that dreadful weather is admirable. That archway is definitely a work of art…they don’t build them like that anymore.
Definitely agreed. If you like hard work and people learning things and doing it right, you should check out Leo at Sampson Boat Co. He's rebuilding a 100 plus year old wooden sailing yacht and the work he puts in and the quality is second to none.
Well they clearly do build them like that still... because you've just seen one 😂
I have 3 sons that love this type of weather for hard work construction. No fun in the heat. It's actually keeping them perfect body temp with all the moving and heavy grueling back work.
Best stone walling I can remember seeing - and I've been looking at stone walls for over 70 years!
I watch a few renovation/restoration channels and must say, I don't think anyone does as much physical hard work as you. Please take care, stay safe, abd get plenty of rest .
Amen!😮
So you do not know the channel "Escape to rural France". (No offence, Brady, you work like a horse).
@guzziwheeler . Yes I do. I've followed Dan from before he bought his chateau, and think he's amazing.
This is an incredible journey for us viewers, and followers
If I could give you 10 thumbs up 👍🏻 today, I would have! You & Heather have packed so much details into this video this week anyone can clearly see all the work you have achieved in such a short time, including being challenged by horrendous weather throughout too! Very wet conditions & building work can be a lethal combination, thank goodness there were no accidents, & that you’re all safe!🙏❤ It’s truly remarkable watching this once forgotten house come back to life again, with so much love & compassion along the way. We are all so proud of you, please take good care of yourself, & remember to give yourselves a break. With lots of love and big hug’s to you all. From Aberdeenshire Scotland ❤🤗🥰xxx
Well said!

Don't criticise your video young Bradley, you are catching a real life construction event with real life issues and problems and it is this same non polished videography style that sets you apart from other youtubers who never get a hair out of place and are always clean and stress free no matter what they seem to be doing.
Stay real young sir, much respect from an also very wet Scotland
I agree. I love that they keep it real and not making sure every "hair is in place" It allows us to almost "be there with them to see it as it is! Amazing work!!
Your stone masons are awesome. Their work is incredible and beautiful. Your home is going to be gorgeous. ✌🏻❤️🙏🏻
The archway is a classic masterpiece. That weather is a super challenge and you all are conquering it.
That arch is beautiful. What an amazing work you all are doing. Staying along for finish.
That archway is stunning! Putting your own touch on this old structure while keeping true to its historical integrity is something special! Can’t wait to see it all done.
Three cheers for: A loving, supportive family, good health, amazingly beautiful surroundings, a skilled work crew, a good sense of humor, full bellies, power tools (especially jackhammers), a good supply of materials, tremendous progress, honing and building more skills, doing what you enjoy, an extremely bright future!!! You guys have it all and then some!
😊😊😊
One of the more interesting building projects on RUclips. Don't apologize!!
"Hear hear!!"
How nice the vault turned out!👍👍😃 The craftsmen you have to help are really real professionals, and they are not afraid to teach their skills!😃
No apologies necessary. The work y'all are doing is amazing and beautiful. Thank you again for sharing your journey.
I really don't care much about a bunch of people working extremely hard. However, the precision and the skill set to carve every single stone is impressive.
The craftsmanship of the arch is incredible. Knowing all the stones came from your property and hard work makes it extra special. It’s all coming together.. you should all be very proud 👌
My boss was from Calabria and came to U.S.at age 13. I am a tiny bit Italian from same area. He used to speak Italian to me all the time. I love listening to that language. His sons name is Alesio lol
That arch is very beautiful, you have been taught by such awesome craftsmen
That archway is incredible and 100% worth the effort. Love this labor of love!
...i dare to say that some of your fellow amricans think ... this guy is crazy!!! why lose so much time and energy !!! just build a wooden house from zero using half of the time ... but ,,,, it is like this when we fall in love for a region and a rustic place.. keep the spirit ,, love your sunday videos ,,, Regards from Portugal 👍👍
Can’t give a 👎 because of the sheer amount of progress achieved. Keep looking toward better Spring weather.
Why would you ever think to give this project a 👎 on any aspect?
@@SJC49 if you watched the video Bradey says we should give a thumbs down because he wasn’t satisfied with his video work.
The workmanship from the old country’s construction, is amazing.
It's 12.40am in Australia, but I had to stay up and watch your video when I saw you'd uploaded it 5 minutes earlier. What an amazing accomplishment. The stonemasons are master craftmen. I know you were stressed and didn't film as much, but honestly, this was great, and it captured how fast everything was moving.
Also, that snow and the village with the fog and lights was just beautiful. You're so lucky to be making your home in that part of the world.
It’s not all roses and sunshine. But you are creating a masterpiece! Thank you for showing us a little of the hard work it takes to bring your home to life!🎉
I'm so interested in a diagram of the drain tile wall!! The stone walls are so beautiful, and the craftsmanship is incredible! I honestly didn't notice and filming issues, it's fun to see time lapse of the build process but with how crowded it is it's understandable. Don't be too hard on yourself - this isn't a TV show with producers and a staff editing - it's fun to see the progress - whatever format. ❤😊
you are remarquable and your working team are true artisans . I don’t know how many tons of concrete and stones have been lifted but it’s amazing .
Hold on there , praise yourself.
Good that you took the construction path. You are experiencing the seasonal weather variation. Rain, snow, humidity, the necessity for double walls, damp proofing, french drains, added ventilation, eventually even forced air. When opportune, creating a graded gap between the mountain and the external walls.
The revealed large archway, level floors, solid brick second walls. Your stone masons crew are doing great considering the damp, wet, miserable weather. Building a modern, rustic home for generations.
Brady and Heather, my goodness how far you have came! The stone masons are so incredibly great at their craft and I can see they are happy to teach their skills. You are all such very hard workers, it’s amazing but yet I feel for your poor muscles and your bodies at the end of the day, you must be exhausted! You have earned every crumb of admiration of your abilities and your progress. Absolutely love the arch, it’s so beautiful and adds so much to the rooms. Your progress is amazing in the inclement weather. Most people would have waited for nicer weather. I could never give you a thumbs down, don’t be so hard on yourself, your human, you go above and beyond In every episode! So happy for your progress but like others have cautioned, please be careful, I along with thousands of others want to see your family experience the results of all that hard work. Love your videos and your family. Please pass along our admiration for the great masons you have and let them know we haven’t seen such beauty as they install and pride in their work ever. Take care and give each other huge hugs for me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love history and old houses. This place has been one thing after another to move forward. Do you ever wish you would have bought a similar stone house that did not have a stone mountain against the back of the house ? I could have never worked through the extra expense of things that kept happening with this place. You have a great work ethic as a family and I do admire the way you have stuck with this as most people would not have.
I'm amazed at the talent and skill of stone workers. Such a beautiful art. You are the hardest worker I think I've ever seen! Bet you sleep soundly at night.
That Arch is stunning. And I'm happy with anything you film.
Shout out to whatever incredible supply of wealth is behind this beautiful amazing lovely spectacular opperation. The building company is doing a great job and very proffessional.
I loved how thriller Heather was when She saw the arch! We all got excited with her. This was a great video. We felt the angst and success!!!
Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE the way Italians work & snack while working! We Americans should totally adopt that💯 p.s. noticed how much you're beginning to talk with your hands like we Italians do; looks good on you folks👌🇮🇹 BRAVO!!!
Love your comment about talking with your hands! I lived with Italians for 10 years, four in Italy. I can't stop talking with my hands and its 0ver 30 years later and I get a fare amount of chuckles from people watch my hands go..... automatically! 🤣🤣 I would never give up those years in Italy!!!
It's called hard work, because it is...
That's some cold wet weather...
Lucky you've got the good people to work with....
Keep your spirits up, the Panettone was fun, and so was the archway.....👍👍💪💪🇳🇿🇳🇿
Good morning. I was watching another video and your noti popped up. Immediately switched to this. 😊
Me too!
Me three!
The Archway is magnificent. Love watching these highly skilled brick & stone masons. They also have a wealth of knowledge on restorations techniques. How fortunate you are. Your tenacity & handwork Brady is a example that will serve your children well throughout their lives.
Wow, you are working so hard, Brady! So many hours and your blood and sweat! I hope you are so proud 👏🏻 of your hard work. Amazing how each week turns into a big success!!!
This going to be a great stunning home, warm and cozy!!
BUT we missed the girls. 😢
And a nother suggestion, what about some of your video going with Heather and the kids also in 1 video. Like where you are living and the town and shops etc. It will be nice to see both. Just a suggestion. We love the building works but we miss the rest.
Thanks for the video. Greatings Melinda from South-Africa ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow what amazing epic views from your home!
OMGosh! You guys have done soooooo much! You guys are making incredible progress and under such difficult weather conditions! Your team of craftsmen are amazing! I hope you guys sit down, rest a minute, and pat yourself on the back! You deserve it!
Thumbs up 👍🏽 .
A lot of progress in a single episode, impossible to filmed all .
Thanks for sharing !
Your videos are like weekly therapy for me , watching you guys build while lying on my bed at nighttime is an amazing experience. You , your wife and the whole skilled team of stonemasons have done a great job . I acknowledge that it is hard to record while working , but you managed it well and good
Greetings from Punjab.
Thumbs down? Never! Take my thumbs up!
Aww thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey with us I hope that once everything is done you guys give us a house tour
Once again Brady I'm amazed at your monumental effort in this reno. You will reap the rewards once you guys move in. This is the most impressive build I've ever seen. 💗💗
Liking the progress - make sure you remember to put in a way to vent your hood for the cooktop- this is the time to do it and its so worth doing.
Your masons are great. WOwza that was a task drilling through that stone. Your arms must’ve been vibrating all night long
Totally neat the arch looks like it has been there for decades ... great job
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING YOUR TIME AND SHARING MULTIPLE AREAS OF PROGRESS IN ONE VIDEO!!! WELL DONE!
Can’t wait for the finished product! Your home is going to be beautiful! The arch looks awesome! Heather was smiling from ear to ear! It looks amazing!
I’ve been following since the beginning, but I went back and watched the first video prior to building. The progress is just incredible! One brick at a time.. your foundation is getting there. Im sure the process IS stressful, but so many people are watching and rooting for you guys. I’m sending prayers from Phoenix, Arizona. May God continue to Bless you and your family ❤️
Absolutely beautiful. Coming along nicely. Love the arch. That view are you kidding. Gorgeous even when snowing.
Wow.. Guys you are moving along now, The crew is working so hard.. Looking great!!!
Stunning arch, what craftsmanship you must be very proud of the men who do such good work for you, love the wall of
extension
Actually, this is one of you guys best videos, because you showed us more content of the house getting done. Do you know how frustrating it is to see very little getting the house done?
I am sure they do, its their house and they are waiting to live in it for 2 years now.
Just a pleasure to watch YOUR Stone home take shape throughout. Watching these stonemasons , work is Just wonderful. Kuddo's to All Involved and your sharing it every week ... Thank You
Just about to go to sleep in Australia to see this has been uploaded 34 seconds ago. First time as the first comment!!
One positive... if you can call it that... about all the rain: you're not gonna be short of water for mixing yer cement, making yer brews and washing yer tools off 😂
Keep going guys! All this back and tool breaking work will be worth it in the end!
Breath taking … that stone arch and one camera angle it should the arch and the window, just beautiful! Brady you are an am😂a zing hard worker and you and Heather are the perfect team with her hard work with family and editing. What a unique and beautiful home!
So much hard work. So much progress!! Very exciting
You are doing a good job, Heather as a mother, and you as family man, everything is going well, the house is taking shape, when you live in it,you will enjoy it very much, I love Italian culture, God bless you all, from Tulsa Oklahoma
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos and progress. I have always loved stone/rocks. It’s a truly beautiful place you are creating!
The arch looks stunning. Your hard work deserves rest. Tomorrow is a new day.
Hi, it's true that working in bad weather isn't nice and is actually tiring, but it shows you where to make improvements to avoid problems of water and humidity infiltration into the house. A hug to all of you 🙂
Rain or shine that's a stupendous view.
Kudos to you both for persisting with the work. The stone building adds so many layers of construction complexity vs a traditional restoration. I think many would have walked away by now… yet you press on. 🥰
The craftsmen on your job just amaze me with their skills.
13:45 Unbelievable…hammering EXACTLY in rhythm with the background song. As a lifelong musician, I can’t tell you happy this makes me. 🥹😁 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I noticed this too! Beautiful music.
You guys are rolling along! It's starting to look like a house. The archway is beautiful.
I just returned from Italy and now I'm addicted to your show.
Wow… your progress is astounding… just seeing the hard work you and your crew are doing in such inclement weather is so incredible… it’s truly a work of art and love
The progress you have made more than makes up for what you feel in regards to this video production. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The arch is absolutely beautiful. A job well done👏👏👏❤️
What a phenomenal job you are doing! Why would anyone want to do a thumbs down?!?! You guys are killin’ it!
What a beautiful dream coming true. I love how everyone is working so hard. That’s rare to see these days. I also love how hard Brady is getting right in there and learning so much.
Heather, always remember diamonds and dynamite come in small packages 🎉and pack a very large boom 💥 ❣️
I am giving this video a thumbs up for the incredible accomplishments made in spite of the horific weather.
Don't despair! You're building a new home for you and your family! A little chaos is always expected to happen in the middle of it all!👍👍👍
Heather, thank you for all your editing….doesn’t go unnoticed!
Your stone masons are incredible artists. Such a joy to watch them in action.
You're doing a wonderful job! Don't sell yourself short on filming, you showed us A LOT of progress - so excited!!
We have a Sunday practice of making a quick lunch to settle in to watch 'The Italians' (you!). Mid-week we watched the Outdoor Kitchen episode again and celebrated how much you've all done (and grown) in 18 months....all the improvements in the house, tools, speaking Italian (including with your hands LOL). Your journey is so inspiriting!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ENTRANCE WITH CLOUDS AND MUSIC, I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW WONDERFUL THE HOUSE LOOKS. YOUR WIFE WITH HER MOUTH AS AWE 😮 IS ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS, SHE'S ADORABLE 🥰, YOU GUYS TAKE CARE AND ONE SHUTOUT FOR THE WORKS, THEY DESERVE TO BE THANKFUL FOR THE HARD WORK!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely agree with your words 😊
These video are just too good. Youve chosen a beautiful country with an incredible culture to build a home. Your kids will have an incredible experience in italy. .
This is very informative. Plastic bricks to keep out the moisture? Brilliand, and it looks so very good. Although Plastic is a very wide description fo any type of polymer.
Those bricks are not plastic, they're terra cotta. The plastic is the sheet behind the bricks, over the stone wall. He also said that they are going to put another layer of plastic sheeting into the wall (probably over the terra cotta and under another layer of concrete) before they're done. After that, they will likely add a lime render to that particular wall. Such a long process.
You have worked so very hard on this house without much visible progress (always how good preparation goes) lovely that you are now seeing some beautiful results
Synergy! The small and sometimes slow sections of work accumulate and blossom into much more at the end. Your home is going to be stunning, not least because of the combined energy you both have and that of your skilled masons. It’s a joy to witness. Best regards, phil, Suffolk U.K 🇬🇧
I will NOT give you the dumbs down. By not filming as much, you also definitely accomplished a lot more. So…👍👍👍. As for the Archway… OMG!!!! A total piece of artwork. Those masons are true masters of masonry. Love how you use the 3 R’s when it comes to the stones. And those 3 R’s are not Reading, wRiting and aRytmathic, but rather Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose. Well done! Can’t wait for next week’s episode 👍🇨🇦
These videos have been so awesome seeing the stone masons....... Quite an honor to learn from them... ... When your job is all done you're going to have all those memories. It's going to be awesome to look back..... It's going to be a great place. God bless
Beautiful arch, I can’t imagine going to another country away from my family and building a new life. The view would have sold me on the first visit and add the church bells into the mix and just wow….
Panettone is delicious, a Christmas treat, but delicious toasted with butter! With coffee even better. And with that view… divine.
A Pannetonne is one of my favourite Christmas season traditions here in Australia, we picked it up from family friends from Italy when I was growing up and I can’t imagine Boxing Day without it!
All I can think of is how your backs and knees will feel by the time you are 70!! Be gentle on yourselves.. you are doing an amazing job and the knowledge you have gained will see you thru future projects. The archway is stunningly beautiful. Cannot wait to see this through.
Been so bit along walking on this property, but by the grace of God is gonna go very fast and you gonna be home better soon you have a good husband God bless you and bless your family. I love you.
You are one hard working man! I’m surprised that you even had time to record anything. Your priority is getting your home completed. I just know when it’s completed it will be beautiful and you all will be proud homeowners. Keep your eye on the prize.
