Shamus came by my booth at the Flea Market in Acworth, GA this weekend and played a while this weekend. This homemade guitar and its owner/maker are even more impressive in person. Thanks Shamus for dropping in and being a great customer!
hey thanks for all your build videos. they helped me finish my jerry can resonator. im aout to start a roasting pan resonator soon and a double neck canjo. your vids are great please keep them coming.
An awesome guitar. Any chance we could get a peek inside the ROASTING PAN RESONATOR? I'm curious to see how you braced the neck and attached it to the roaster. Much thanks for the videos.
Now yer cookin' ! Now that's American ingenuity, let's see the Chinese top that ! We don't need their steenkin' geetars. Outstanding creativity ! And execution. NICE !
well done ...it's got a great sound and it looks ok to hold & play by the look of you playing it..I like the red lacquer on the resonator cover...well done again ! I reckon open G would be nice ...
i play the dobro and really dig Make's electronics pieces, so i was really stoked to see this make the site. nice work! looking forward to seeing more.
Excllent job Shamus - very inventive! Love the look of the other 2 guitars - the huge oblong one and the ex-toilet seat. As regards to my tune "Erin's Dance" - will get back to you on this. Cheers, Kenny Kelly
Shamus, could you please, please make a video of you playing the guitar made out of the bottom half of the roasting pan? I would love to hear how it sounds and of course more of your awesome playing. Is there anything under the cake pan resonator connecting it to the back of the guitar or is it merely suspended from the guitar top? Thanks, Anthony
ide like to try and make one of them thear guitars but how mutch works involved i mean like would it take a tremendos amount of skil and money to build one i am a amature luther in lerning thanks mike
@UCiWJ5hFt2wPruvQzwG7ob1Q It has a pickup so you can play it through an amp, I'd would've loved the amplified sound. How about a 7 String Toilet Seat Guitar?
sounds great pal, id have it, and ive had the best, i found tampa reds national, gigd and recorded with it,course everything else commes second to that, not only in sound but vibe, can tell your roastinator projects very well friend
+Andrew Bedingfield ... No your're not hallucinating! People have made these from time to time in the past. In the late 70's the American guitar maker, Jerry Jones made a "Toilet Seat Guitar" commercially available for a short time :-)
