Yes and what a great time Mike picked to stop doing it, right before the market went down. I guess he thought let's end on a market high note. But bring it back for football season Mike!
I’m glad there is content on what is truly rare and special with Rolex. No a white ceramic Daytona is not a rare watch and that we become more and more obvious in a few decades. Stone dials, full gold gem set pieces, truly limited production numbers are the real jewels in the crown.
But how on Earth do they source these rarities that’s the question. They are effectively totally unobtainable unless you are a SERIOUS collector. Still I am very excited we are at least exposed to these as the rest of the Rolex steel market is all a tad ubiquitous
What a fascinating selection of rare precious rolex watches. You can tell that Mike is enjoying Tim’s flow as much as we do. Only Tim can make you fall in love with a quartz watch.
That Eisenkiesel Day-Date... Without the diamonds on the numerals, that would be a subtle substitute for wearing my old Manowar shirts again. Kinda reminds me of that perfect 80's Metal aesthetic. ❤️
I like how the YM II is now starting to be viewed as being attractive. It makes me think of Noah Cross’ line from the movie ‘Chinatown’ ‘…..ugly buildings, politicians and whores all get respectable with age…’ (I am extremely happy with my new (Nov 2021 from an AD) YM - 40 with the blue dial. I just wish I had a platinum one)

Jay-Z’s got the 18K yellow gold and champagne-coloured dial model, “The Notorious One” Conor McGregor’s got the 18K Everose gold and chocolate-dial model, and even Tom Hardy, one of the finest actors of his generation, rocks the 18K white-gold and ivory-dial model. Please listen to your audience and bring back Market Wrap with Mike. We're all screaming for it. Ok, I'll shut up about Philly Connecticut and the NY Football Giants this one time...but seriously please bring back Market Wrap with Mike!
Ulysse Nardin also made a countdown/count-up regatta timer, I think was even more sophisticated than the Rolex, yet with more subtle styling. Even if, like the Rolex not much of a looker either. I think the only decent looking (and sized) regatta timer wristwatch, is made by mid-tier brand Frédérique Constant.

Tim and Mike are just great story tellers. I can listen to them for hours. Thanks guys.
I really miss Mike’s Market Wrap (even if I am a Rams fan)! Was one of the best video series on the Internet!
Agree. I like how he talks football and Philly and Connecticut

Love how Mike called out Tim's watch geekiness with the YM2. He makes my head spin too with watch tech!
Although I miss "Market Wrap" more than I care to admit, I'm thoroughly enjoying "Around the Crown!" Thanks, gents!
Great video. I’m interested in purchasing a day date 40 and can’t decide on the 2022 yellow gold with green dial vs Eisenkeisel. Any suggestions?
Great T-shirt ! Full Gold DD Oysterquartz with Jubilee dial is just amazing

Spectacular pieces, thanks for introducing them to us. Could WatchBox go back and share the reference numbers in the description section?
Awesome show I always enjoy watching your videos
That oyster quartz so interesting to me….wouldn’t it be great if Rolex brought it back? LOL!
lol!!!
So Tim, the Sky Dweller was supposed to be the most complicated Rolex nowadays, or is it the Yachtmaster II?
That was an amazing video!
Tim is amazing. And you know, when you see someone with a part down the middle, you’re dealing with a savant.
i never know there is oysterquartz day date!
Title says Rolex, t-shirt says A. Lange.

Most Complicated Modern Rolex: The Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller

Mike is relaxed and his dress sense is great - Tim on the other hand looks like his half blind Nan citrates his wardrobe.

no love for any Submariners or modern GMTs? Root Beer? Ever Rose? Cookie Monster anyone? 🤷🏽♂ Or was this a garage sale of unsold stock?
You need to show the watches you’re talking about
I like your reviews but I feel sad to see that you work mainly for the 5 major brands that control the world watch industry 😞
No matter what rolex does, this hype needs to come to an end. Nice video however with truly special models
