- The elephant walk exercise is the most potent stretch I have found for back pain relief. No matter where your level of flexibility is, a few weeks of dedicated elephant walks can level you up fast.

i have a herniated disc in my low lumbar spine and i’ve been going to PT for 5-6 months and doing stretching everything strengthening everything they told me to do and it helped but i just tried this for the first time and i actually feel a hamstring stretch were i need it and it immediately helped my nerve pain
That’s awesome!! Thanks for sharing
the real key to hamstring flexibility is in the back. The constantly tight back muscles squeeze the spinal cord and don't let it sheath.
A few years back Im pretty certain i herniated my back, its all good now but when I do these and lock out the side that bothered me, i feel a bit of pain. Likely need to regress it. ATG has saved my back for sure.
so are you doing the elephant walk now and does it help you? I dont follow, sorry
same, it irritated my herniated disk
@@eternalblizzard4430 look into ATG by kneesovertoesguy he saved my back and leg
I do McGill Big 3 for 10 months for my back pain....nothing
I do reverse extension and back extension for my back pain...nothing
When I start do Jefferson curls and elephant walk...pain disappear 90 %
Thanks a lot!
Hi man, thanks for the video! How often should you do this, does daily work?
Yes you can do this every single day! A few sets a day will grow your flexibility fast
Got it, thank you very much!
What makes it a lower back exercise? Just looks like a hamstring stretch
Great question. It lengthens the whole posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, lower back erectors), which decreases strain on the lower back. You could call it an indirect lower back exercise by opening the muscles around the lower back
When I do this exercise, i feel the stretch in my calfs but not so much in my hamstrings. What am I doing wrong?
Your weight might be on your toes, try shifting your weight back to your heel
I think ive done about 300 thousand of those and i still cant get all the way down
This is intense
Yes it sure is
Is this safe to do if you have L4-L5 L5-S1 herniated discs?
Your going to need to ask a medical professional the last thing these guys wanna do is get quoted and gain liability for an injury due to bad advice and end up getting sued. Sounds crazy but it happens 😂
Nice pants!
