  • In 1972, the then President of Uganda, Idi Amin Dada, launched what he referred to as an economic war that was intended to give indigenous Ugandans more control of the economy. As part of this war, Amin ordered the expulsion of the country’s South Asian minority most of whom were of Indian descent, giving them only 90 days to leave. With their departure, many of the business firms, agricultural estates and factories that they had established were reallocated to Ugandans. In tonight's report, we find out how these businesses fared in the hands of Ugandans and how the expulsion of the Asians affected the country’s economy

Pray for your OWN SOUL, as you pray for his. This man was a demon, a man child, playing president, with all his fake medals that he never earned, he wore them like women wear jewelry. He now burns in hell.

True! And even worst, major parts of South America like Argentina & Chile. These countries are literally a part of Europe. If an African minority were to undermined India's economy in the same manner, they would've been killed in mass numbers.

of course, in fact, the total number of immigrants in India is 5.1 million, even more than the population of Uganda. India has an open border with its two neighbour i.e. Nepal, Bhutan. People of two these countries can work in India without a visa.

I think the fact is African countries, have rarely been in control of the economics of each country and the West steal their resources, I'm going to look into Idi more, I believe in multiculturalism across the world, but the fact remains Africa is an extremely poor continent in general, I live in Australia, not many aboriginal people get to work or are given a real chance, the mining conglomerates take the resources, I feel in a capitalist society, there will always be poverty, maybe under communist structure these countries and people could control their natural assets and make the people more financially stable. I have subscribed to learn more about your country

@@aaron2a82 The bottom line is Amin’s intention was excellent. His footprints exist up to now. He faced too many sellouts for simply trying to do good for his country. Every minute of his life was threatened. West to east. You name it
