I always fly with that Leatherman. A TSA agent once advised me that I'd be less likely to have it checked out if I left it separate and with all the implements already extended. I've just folded everything out and put it in the box next to my bag since then and haven't had them pull it aside to search again.
Good tip!
i use my rovyvon every single day as a maint guy at work, its so useful because its easy to use, rechargeable and the plastic is great for when you bite on it lol no one wants to talk about it except the milwuakee pen light, but biting on a flashlight is something we all do
I'm using a swivel that normally is used for fishing, it makes the keys/items I have easier to use.
Moon pen are nice they are pressurized. So they write upside down, and underwater too 👍👍
Good morning from a fan from Amsterdam. Always enjoy your Videos
Titanium Doo-hickies Pretty cool..hah…….Yes sir is very cool ,thanks for sharing Doc!
Only flew to the US once. My TSA story is spending 11 hours waiting in line before getting to the TSA desk at newark. after a 10 hour flight. Didn't have any problems getting in though.
You need make your house museum I’m not kidding
What about Uncle Bill’s tweezers? They have the loop, can be disconnected from the loop attachment and are much small and lighter than those Civivi tweezers.
By this point your EDC will need a suitcase with all the items you wish to carry... 😅
May need the large Milwaukee tool box soon to carry all the edc gadgets, I’m the same way so I’m making fun of myself too
I'd like to see them do really good AAA flashlight. There are some great rechargeable AAA batteries out there, some with a usb C charging port
No sponsorship or free products but here's what I rock. For a AAA form factor that only recharges I love my Olight iR2 Pro. I still use a few Olight i3Es with Nimh AAA batteries. The i3Es is ultra simple but still holds up in 2023. Just me though, to each their own.
There is a really good AAA flashlight in the video. It’s the black one at back center-left. I tip it over at 7:28. It’s a Surefire Titan.
@@lastbesttool Thanks!
A covert companion might be a good addition.
11:18 It's just a guess but you likely had that Utili-Key for quite a while because the Philips screwdriver tip sticks beyond the blade.
Edit: It usually gets through TSA unnoticed until until one made out what it was a couple of years ago. I pull it off now. I rather not have it taken away. He let me go through with it.
RovyVon A7 - I think you double click to get the moonlight mode, but I can't get mine to do that anymore.
I always think those mini pry bars need to be a bit longer, the power is in the leverage after all.
Well first I agree, but then I realize I can make one longer, and thicker, and stronger, but you probably already have one like that, so the idea of making one more compact, but still strong, seems reasonable.
Just wanted to comment Chris to tell you my name is Cory O’Hanlan lol
15-20 cm is optimal imo.
@@coryohanlan194 greetings!, distant relative. We O'Hanlon's and variants are rare and highly procured.
I dont mind the light, but the UI id a little iffy.
I try to keep it simple my ocd kicks in otherwise
What is the temperature of the rovyvon flashlight? I really like that light but the lowest i can find is 5000k. Im not a fan of cool white flashlights, just wondering if the 5000k one is somewhat warm?
Hey Doug, I have a tool for you to check out.
I think I'll get one
The Anex AOA-19S2
do whistles with a ball whistle on the inhale? or just when blowing out
What do you think of surefire flashlights?
Love them. I’ve got many videos about them.
I really just don't get the appeal of titanium, I have absolutely no desire to ever buy anything titanium and don't own a single bit of it.
I suppose being a traditional knife guy who loves brass explains why I don't understand Titanium.
Rovyvon A5U has a better, green glow.
Only speaking from my personal experience, it seems like lately (2024) TSA hasn't been too interested in nit picking ridiculously innocuous items as potential weapons. With one exception, my home airport. Everywhere else, common sense seems to be taking over. Anyone else seeing this?
I'd agree with you. But all bets are off when flying out of the UK. Those buggers are sticklers for everything. And not that I'd recommend it, but flying out of some countries like South Africa and Nepal, a simple inclusion of a can of soda can make the security folks feel like they are doing their job and then they look no further having done their job. Funny story, I had an internal fight in Nepal and they hand-searched my carryon, then handed it back to me to walk through the metal detector with it. Of course, no alarm. And once on a flight out of Gustavus, Alaska, we were all hanging out outside and in the tiny waiting room. They x-rayed our bags, then handed them back to us to again, wander around the waiting room and even back outside.
Do you have anything from County Comm???
A long wishlist. Does that count?
I want to find a small (maybe titanium) 1\4in hex driver, something flat enough I can pocket carry it
Hi there was you called millisecond tools before please
ok, that lite link has two models, which?
TSA Approved... THEY will take it from you no matter what!
Click once, twice for this, triple click while standing on one foot,,,,,,,errrrr, try remembering all this hocus focus while stressed,,,,,keep it simple stupid for me,thank you…….
pretty crazy how people will spend hours and hours obsessing over their edc gizmos. Yet refuse to take a first aid course.
Most of them take a standard first aid course but never an advanced first aid course that goes beyond what you can easily learn on a video
