- Tiny Tools are just like real tools but smaller.Tiny tool makers include Knipex, Snap On, Crescent, Irwin and others. And some of my suggestions for more tiny tools from Snap On and Knipex. The EDC world would benefit from some new tiny tools.

Another hit, Doc. Tiny twin grips would be awesome! I'm sure this video will get traction and knipex will get on it. I'd put them to work.
👍
Another very useful tiny tool are the Vaughn mini pry-bars.
Also useful are long shank mini cold-chisels.
Yes, I have a few of the Vaughan. A terrific tool.
What a beautiful table! All these wooden patterns bring joy to my heart.
Yessssss! We need a mini twin-grip Knipex
I've been called many things Sir, but never have I been called an aficionado! Thanks!
I love tiny tools! Compact, powerful, multi-use tools are what i look for. Especially for work. I dont need many tools as a fire alarm technician but i still like eliminating unnecessary tools
I know engineer has a slip joint model that's similar. Love your wishlist!
My wife is 4'11 and she does a lot of crafts and my tools are gigantic for her. This video inspired me to build her a kit of tools that fit her hands. Also the small bolt cutter there are actually a bit of a misnomer as they're more often used for cutting wire, often fencing wire. We go through Maizen Lata or midget cutters 8" bolt cutters at work like crazy.
Nice! Well made micro tools have tons of applications.
On small tools .1/4 bits tools . Ratchets or screwdrivers that except 1/4 bits A lot of uses . Because you can buy any bits that you need for any job. I have a complete set or metric Allen bits and large Phillips ,torx and a few more . I have used them at my work . I carried a Craftsman ratchet with extension and Milwaukee 6-1 razor knife with knipex Cobra XS pliers and mini pry bar . I was able to do alot .
I was hoping that you had a list of links to all your tiny tools...Great video!
I have a set of those mini bolt cutters that i use to cut stainless steel tig wire. It's the only job it has, but it does get a lot of use.
Knipex needs a mini raptor pliers!!!
Those needle nose at the end are niiiiiice.
Look for the ENGINEER PZ-57 if you want a small screw remover(twin grip)
Please review the Icon 35pc mini ratchet set. This tool seems right up your alley.
I've had my Griptilian for about 12 years now and it's the best knife I've had so far. Benchmade is a bit pricey but seem to be good quality.
I have a gerber keychain plier/pocketknife set. The first time I tried to cut some drywall with the knife rather than walk a couple hundred yards back to my van to get a real knife it bent the retainer and now the knife flops around. The pliers have saved me many hours tho. Great to have EDC even when the only things I carry are phone and keys
A little tip some might find useful… I bought 4-5 mini tape measures (everyone has their favorite brands and formats), and glued 1.5” neodymium disc magnets on the backs. In my hobby machine shop I stuck one everywhere they would be handy - and they are! Total project cost was well under $35.
Great idea! I did the same thing with a few rechargeable led lights so that they could stick to the refrigerator and one on the front door for a power failure or under my hood of the car.
I also put a few on the top front of my impact driver and drill batteries to hold a few screws or extra bit as I'm working
What's up doc? You know whenever I feel bad about how much money I spend on tools I come here to remember I'm not THAT bad! CoolToolFoolSchool
To put your tiny tools in, I can recommend the Mighty Bag by McGuire-Nicholas. It’s a 7 inch tool tote, runs around 20 bucks. I have 3 or 4 of them for different common tasks I do (electrical, data/comm, etc.).
Need a mini anvil and vise just to add to the collection.
My absolute favorite scaled down tool is the Vaughan & Bushnell #9 " little pro " 10oz rip claw, a miniaturized version of their #999 framer.
Totally agree! I have half a dozen of them scattered around. Still made in the USA, too!
@@johnnewell5025
I have 3 #9, 2 #99, 3 variants of #999 ( including a 1950's Craftsman hammer tooth, made by V&B and #999 based ), and the 25oz which for some reason isn't in the series.
I'm probably not done acquiring examples of the #9, I may have to get a new one at some point though because all mine are different vintages.
I went that route because I prefer the stamp ove the almost nonexistent lazering they use today.
@@TylerSnyder305 Agree on earlier production. 👍
@@johnnewell5025 the quality is still the same where it counts at least.
One real shame about the current #99 is the handle, they used to be a very nice half octagonal.
Wow! Thanks
Those Milwaukee tape measures are quite handy. Bought multiple copies - to include one that I gave my wife. Used to be when I started talking about distances/measurements she wouldn't have a frame of reference now she does - and also I have copies for myself that I can leave in places (like my vehicle) where a tape that size can be handy when needing a tape measure would be unexpected (and it being both standard and metric make it all the more useful).
Ya, I like using a small tape measure when precision is still important. When it gets a bit bigger, then the smartphone's VR measurer is good enough (and much more convenient!).
9:26.. you did it again...🤭
Excellent video brother. I have a few mini tools and have found so many uses for them.
Thanks for the mini tool round up
I love small, useful tools. Thanks Doc!
x2 on the mini twin grips and the new snap on needle nose, hopefully those will be in the works.
Oh boy! My kind of topic!!
Excellent coverage of these smaller tools. I have a number of these and they are incredibly useful and easy to lug around. Agree with you on a scaled down Twin Grip.
Great video. I was thinking the exact same thing on the knipex twin grips about half way through your video here. Then you pulled them out lol. They would be a great tool for EDC if they scaled them down. I'm sure they will eventually
I edc the 125 cobra and pump pliers and have for years. Never know when those cobras come in handy.. the pump pliers are used far and few between but have still been used
Another option for a small set of cobra style pliers is the Irwin 6" groove lock pliers. I got them to see if I'd like an edc set of pliers. I cut off about an inch from each handle to make them more pocketable. The handle grips are removable so I took them off, trimmed them down from the top and then placed them back on. They work well and are great to keep on me so I don't have to run back to my tool roll that's in my van to get a set. They're nice to remove small bonnet nuts that hold in faucet cartridges and tighten set bolts on pop up assemblies. A little less expensive than Knipex but so far they've been great.
The Milwaukee min tape I have has mm and inches. I use it all the time and it lives on my desk.
Wish I had your collection of tools. There has been time I could have used most of them .
I m 100 % degree... U r the BOSS.. I love Your vids...
I can’t even find the DeWalt miniature parts tray. I see one with a large but set but the logo isn’t stamped nearly as cleanly. DW2583 or DW2587 maybe it.
Everything in your bag is great. The dream mini pliers would all be killer pliers. No doubt they’d sell like hot cakes.
I use the baby vice grips a lot doing fencing. Clamp onto the end and there is your leverage for twisting/tying OR to clamp the middle of a union so you can spin the free end.
Me too. The Irwin Vice Grips that have a plastic covering over one handle work very well. They're 4 or 5"
Excellent video Doc I love mini useful tools! One tool you might like are the stubby reversible Ratcheting wrenches from Blue Point! I have a set and I love em!
Good job love you From Dino Mares Fontana CA Snap on pink tools 🔧
Exelent tools 👌👍❗
Veritas has a whole line of mini woodworking tools, just to help you complete your mini toolbox.
I use my small snap on needle nose all the damn time
after buying the Knipex mini cobras my Leatherman has been consigned to a drawer, I just carry a victorinox and the Cobras now.
do you find much use for the Cobras?
@@user_19 yes I use them a lot they grip so much better and so much stronger than my LM.
What do you think would be great small tools for locksmiths? The parts tray and the mini lady foot crowbar seemed quite useful.
XS TwinGrip pls!
Doc when are we gunna get a recap of the overland tool kit!?!?
tiny comment for tiny tools! also, tiny like.
100mm TwinGrip all the way!
I wish knipex would come out with a 125 and 180 version of the twingrips. 200 is way to big for anything Id use that style of plier for thats one of the biggest reasons I dont have a set of twingrips. But if they had pre orders on a set of 125 or 180 Id be one of the first on the list. But it has to have the button.
What tool pouch is that?
Great video, spends my money well!! Info on the bag the tools were in?
What is the wee tiny flashlight?
Yes the little one, looks like it’s to small to be a cr123 light I’m curious as well
Looks just like a Fenix E18R?
ruclips.net/video/EJheAnId7UU/видео.html
i want to see the 44 acp snap on please
This may be left field crap, but when I had seen the video title, my first thought was Rick & Morty. Interdimensional Cable commercial for tiny food named “Lil Bits”.
how do we know you're not a giant?
Bought a few of those mini snap on prybar when they were in stock on their website. Although they only sent me one item from my order and no mini prybars. It’s been two years and I’ve contacted them twice now, still nothing from them. The worst part is I literally live 7 minutes from the factory in which their made and sadly have to go through their weak ass business model to try and get them
14:40 160 millimeters** not centimeters. 160 centimeters are like 5 feet.
I have some tiny tools, Knipex etc, I need them to reach into your mind !
Can you post part numbers for everything?
Mini Twin Grips, available now! 😊
ruclips.net/video/mU_MdXHQSQk/видео.html
Well now. That certainly is one way to do it. I played around with that idea on other tools. ruclips.net/video/2MogFJHmYVs/видео.html
@@lastbesttool These are actually great. If I were doing drawings for the tooling, I'd modify the inverse arc of the handles, as I noted near the end, and try to do something about obvious pinch risk if I could, but really those are going from ~95% to ~99%. These are really fantastic the way they are.
Buy a pair (they're not that expensive these days) and have a go. I'll bet you really like the results!
Holy cow! 😂
+1 for any of the Snap on micro you stated.
On the subject of small tools snap-on use to make an lsf720 3/8" ratchet body with a 1/2" anvil this an older platform they have since discontinued the rebuild kit and I am hopeful that they will make an f80 body with a 1/2" anvil what are your thoughts on this this would open up the opportunity to install a 1/2" anvil in most of the 3/8" body ratchets keep in mind to go above a 1" socket you would need an adapter
What bag is that?
This one: amzn.to/3J0Oks3
2 is 1?
1 is none, 2 is 1. Somethings you need extra of.
Reduce, reuse and recycle!
👍
👍👍👍
i have a very small axe if you wanna buy it maybe 3 or 4 oz head
You might have a Tiny problem. Lol.
