Chasing fire engines, doing cartwheels after 3-strikeout innings, pitching without any fielders, wrestling alligators for a circus, being bitten by a lion, saving over 10 people from drowning, arriving 5 minutes before first pitch getting changed on the outfield, icing his elbow to 'prevent injury to the catcher' and being a better pitcher than Cy Young, in the same era. If he wasn't so eccentric, it'd be the Rube Waddell award!
He is the only pitcher to fake to third and pick off the runner at first twice in one inning. It’s a move that never works but it did for him. Twice.
