John Kruk has a higher lifetime BA, OBP, OPS, and OPS+ than Bo Jackson, in almost twice as many games.
@@mitchelvalentino1569 I think people forget sometimes how good he was
Yea ok prove it!
Jackson sadly got injured right before he hit his prime. Oh what could have been.
Yeah, but who could consume more wings, cheeseburgers and beers at one sitting.
Dude looks like a weekend softball player, who just happens to be able to hit a baseball very well!!! A great personality of the game. Always enjoyed watching him as a player and as a broadcaster.
@@hugosegura6287 definitely breaks the mold of what an athlete is supposed to look like
@@BBUYTTV , kinda reminds me of John Daly.
@@hugosegura6287 definitely in that same mold
@@BBUYTTV dykstra was better
The John Daly of baseball. Loved this guy even as a Buccos Fan.
If Meatloaf and Chris Farley had a baby that was really, really good at baseball! 😂
@@dvldog_ ha!
He had great bat speed. This was his key to success.
@@Alex.Jensen definitely was a key
Have enjoyed the player / career retro videos. What sticks out now is the use of "indelible" in every one. Had to wait until 8:46 and 10:17 in the video to hear it twice. The word "indelible" has now made an indelible mark on my retro video watching experience. Thank you!
🎶Sing for him, John Kruk🎶
See ball. Hit ball. No where does that say you have to be an athlete.
@@NathanMoist great point on hitting but in theory running the bases and fielding takes athleticism
The other day I saw a video on RUclips where a usa football coach said soccer isn't an athletic sport. All I could picture was his offensive line trying to play real football against a women's football team
Kruk is the consummate baseball lifer and just a fabulously authentic, fun man. I wish him nothing but the utmost continued success as he continues his broadcasting career in Philly and whatever else he chooses to pursue. I'm not even a Phillies or Padres fan but I just love John Kruk.
@@45scienceproject great comment!
That dude had to be a blast to hangout with!
@@williamalexander1863 that’s for sure
Claudell Washington used to bat with a toothpick in his mouth
@@tomsoto1417 interesting, I don’t remember him doing that. Thank you for sharing
@BBUYTTV That player was actually U L Washington who played mostly of his career with the Royals.
I have a fantasy baseball team I am putting together. It has John Kruk, Kent Hrbek, Cecil Fielder, Jason Giambi, Greg Luzinski, Miguel Cabrera, Steve Balboni, Pablo Sandoval, Bengie Molina, and a pitching staff of CC Sabathia, Fernando Valenzuela and Roger Clemons. I think there is also a spot for David Ortiz and Adam Dunn.
Pete Incaviglia?
Lifetime .300 avg. Not bad for a heavy dude.
I misremembered Kruk as more of a power hitter than the stats show him to be.
I thought the same thing.
John kruk kept it 1 ☝️
His episode of Aqua Teen is one of my favorites
As a Mets fan, i appreciate Kunk
He actually looks pretty jacked and athletic to me anyways.
Did someone say “larger than life personality”?
I watched this guy play in Beaumont, Texas for the double A Golden Gators....idk what you think... the man had talent....Beneto Santiago was also on the team.... good time
@@Donathon-f6f two good ones!
Video has about as much personality as a saltine
@@murklebobep147 who doesn’t like saltines?
saltines and sardines are a delicious snack
Wayne Gretzky admitted that he didn't eat healthy and he's the greatest Hockey player to ever live. It's not always about diet. 🤷
@@emperorpalpatine1228 add Babe Ruth to that list too!
The Sirens of ATHF brought me here
I loved this video, but this man's voice sounds like an Ai that was trained by the toonami robot
John Daly of Baseball
He was a Quasimodo, the hunchback of MLB he was the stifist player in baseball. I don't think he was even a baseball player at all. In sam Diego we use to call him the turtle.
@@bambinogo8609 I’ve never heard of him called the turtle. Interesting
Darren Daulton!
@@GeeEm1313 Dutch! RIP
Is this an AI voice?
Yeah.
If you also read his Wikipedia page you'll see that the script in parts is almost word for word as well
Jocking content is lame Stark raving sports did it first
Only one creator can talk about each topic. Got it.
I can't understand how a baseball player does not train at all and can swing a wood bat, to swing a bat, metal or wood, you have to be strong and at least go to gym and do some cardio, so this guy was probably in roids and just train a little bit
Some people are just born with the ability. You think John Daly in golf trained? He was just gifted. Same as Krucky!
This is an AI-generated video. Don't watch this garbage.
needs to lose weight if he wants to live a good life as he ages.
Who says he wants to age gracefully? Live for yourself, not to meet the standards other try to impose on you.
They are all ballplayers except maybe the pitchers... 1. They don't sweat while playing 2. They get hurt running and 3. They need to take a timeout in between swings.
