Continue to protest against support for the israeli military (as in the case of the supplies shipment from California to israel that was blocked by muslim and dockworker protesters, continue those types of delays of that support ; and other forms of protest like the 'Uncommitted Delegates' voting during the primaries). And also make sure the republicans aren't voted in (probably by voting for the Democratic party in november). We can do both. Over 66% of the US prefers the democratic party over the republican party but not everyone votes. Get out there and vote ( it's our most basic line of defense ) and after that, keep pushing for a better America.

It breaks my heart that there are many people in my own life who are willing to shrug and say “I don’t care” and not vote or take any action at all, even if only because the world’s issues don’t effect them *yet*.
I would ask further: not caring per se or not caring because there's nothing they can do about it. Our system is set up such that our daily concerns consume all our time (and whatever time left over is for ...consumption), so there isn't any time or energy left to _actionably_ care.

While I'm not sure how the US system works: in The Netherlands a vote not cast means the percentage required for a seat in government goes down. I will add that our voting system is not dependent on registering as a voter: being a registered citizen makes you get your voting pass from local government automatically. Everytime I see people in my country saying "I'm not going to vote, because I think the system doesn't work for me anyway" I immediately explain that they need to cast a blank vote and explain why that is (a blank vote keeps the percentage required for a seat up, but the blank vote means it won't benefit any party member).
I will always consider Bernie losing the nomination the end of our democracy. We could have had this sane, down to earth, compassionate, sensible human being. The bird was a sign from the universe. And we chose Trump instead.

I agree with needing more than 2 parties, but I live in the Netherlands (we have around 16 parties), and voting against who you don't want doesn't go away.
It's important to vote. Just to prevent someone horrible from getting into the government. You will at least get a guy who does nothing instead of destroying the country if you vote for Biden.. it's important to do so and for more than two parties you have to engage at a local level, there's probably organizations in your area who fight for a Multi-Party system

With the electoral college, either D or R will end up in office and we need to be sure it’s D this time for the sake of humanity. The third parties that exist here have never done the work to build from bottom up. They need to run for seats they could win at local and state levels, then congressional, instead of futile presidential runs. That is how they could gain political power and recognition to ever have any hope of becoming a dominant party.

Jimmy Carter was right wing compared to his party, but he was one of the most humane, truly caring presidents in American history. People hated a born again Christian for doing what he though was right, and they would have hated a Jewish socialist even more. If Bernie was the Democratic pick, liberals would have run a red scare campaign funded by every rich asshole on earth. It doesn't matter that he is reasonable and correct about everything, many boomers would have been scared into voting against who the media told them was the most authoritarian. He would have had an uphill battle, and while he could have won, he would have to work against his own party. Most Americans still value imperial power over democracy, free markets over free people, short term junk over long term health. Most of those that truly believe in America's ideals are unwilling to do what is necessary to achieve them. Too many people either can't care or don't think they should care.

So I guess what you're supposed to do is comment for the algorithm but not say so. I'm told if you type "I love all (x) videos" where (x) is a particular creator, the rhythm of Al Gore will put future vids from that creator high in your results. I dunno if that boosts for other people but it will indirectly. Because if you see your favorite creators in top billing and click on them within a day of the vid being posted it boosts them pretty well.

The thing people don't understand about abortion is that it applies to terminating the natural process of a pregnancy, and is not limited to just terminating a potential life. This has been demonstrated several times where women who were found out to have nonviable fetuses in them were forced to have a miscarriage and nearly die because abortions were illegal in their states, and those women WANTED a child. Forcing women to carry around rotting death inside themselves until natural ejection is not only abhorrent, but would also make women too scared or too angry to attempt pregnancies.
People are already too scared and angry, and some couples are moving to blue states before they try for a child. Doctors are leaving the red states that won’t allow them to do what is best for the patient. It has also affected where medical school graduates apply for residencies.

Over 66% of the US prefers the democratic party over the republican party but not everyone votes. I will add that our voting system is not dependent on registering as a voter: being a registered citizen makes you get your voting pass from local government automatically.
Everytime I see people in my country saying "I'm not going to vote, because I think the system doesn't work for me anyway" I immediately explain that they need to cast a blank vote and explain why that is (a blank vote keeps the percentage required for a seat up, but the blank vote means it won't benefit any party member).
In Russia these people are the majority.

People hated a born again Christian for doing what he though was right, and they would have hated a Jewish socialist even more. My understanding is that if you say "the algorithm" YT automatically does not count your comment for the algorithm. Weird, right? So I guess what you're supposed to do is comment for the algorithm but not say so. I'm told if you type "I love all (x) videos" where (x) is a particular creator, the rhythm of Al Gore will put future vids from that creator high in your results. I dunno if that boosts for other people but it will indirectly. Because if you see your favorite creators in top billing and click on them within a day of the vid being posted it boosts them pretty well.

Bernie is responsible for the wealth inequality because Bernie and the Democrats have used nonstop open immigration since 1967, high taxes, and over regulation to put slack into the labor market year after year. Which gives all the power to employers, driving down wages, and immigration drives up housing prices at the same time. To the point tens of millions of Americans don't have any money left over at the end of the month. And it's the low wages and lack of power at the bottom that allows the excesses at the top. Causing the wealth gap.
Compare that to JFK style conservative policies of using low taxes, smaller government, deregulation, and less immigration to tighten up the labor market. Which gives power back to workers. Raises wages. Allows for advancement. Allows for mobility. Allows people with bad job records or few skills to get jobs. And gives people dignity.

Bernie is responsible for the wealth inequality because Bernie and the Democrats have used nonstop open immigration since 1967, high taxes, and over regulation to put slack into the labor market year after year. Which gives all the power to employers, driving down wages, and immigration drives up housing prices at the same time. To the point tens of millions of Americans don't have any money left over at the end of the month. And it's the low wages and lack of power at the bottom that allows the excesses at the top. Causing the wealth gap.
Compare that to JFK style conservative policies of using low taxes, smaller government, deregulation, and less immigration to tighten up the labor market. Which gives power back to workers. Raises wages. Allows for advancement. Allows for mobility. Allows people with bad job records or few skills to get jobs. And gives people dignity.
If Democrats actually cared about lower income people, and were capable of compassion and empathy, they would be Kennedy/Reagan conservatives.

The thing people don't understand about abortion is that it applies to terminating the natural process of a pregnancy, and is not limited to just terminating a potential life. This has been demonstrated several times where women who were found out to have nonviable fetuses in them were forced to have a miscarriage and nearly die because abortions were illegal in their states, and those women WANTED a child. Forcing women to carry around rotting death inside themselves until natural ejection is not only abhorrent, but would also make women too scared or too angry to attempt pregnancies.
People are already too scared and angry, and some couples are moving to blue states before they try for a child. Doctors are leaving the red states that won’t allow them to do what is best for the patient. It has also affected where medical school graduates apply for residencies.

@@hannaheye Sometimes the fetus will pass, and the woman is at risk of blood poisoning from it. Deadly if left untreated. Whether the fetus has passed or not, it's still cruel for the state to make the choice for the woman and her doctor.
