I have a meniscus injury also a back injury. It all comes from being a cattle producer. If I don't do yoga EVERY DAY without fail, I cannot function due to lower back pain. I have to do it without fail. Now I have a cyst behind my old injury knee. Help! I need to be able to progress to yoga as I was before I had covid for 2 years. Still recovering. Help! I'll be 73 tomorrow and still ranching on my good old horse. Thank you! I just discovered I can no longer lift 50lbs off the ground. That's ridiculous and due to being mostly flat for many months. I had to teach myself to walk again. Not close to any medical I want anything to do with. Help! Working on strength including a 35lb saddle. My roping saddles are +60lbs.

I had a severe knee injury in high school (apx 7 years ago) and it left me with nerve damage and a lot of knee pain. I lost the ability to do a lot of things that I used to be able to do and have tried to find something to keep me more active and improve my flexibility because a lot of my pain is increased by my lack of mobility. A friend suggested yoga but even that was frustrating and painful because I would have to modify almost all of the moves. This was so perfect for me! It's the first time in years that I have felt like I found something that I can do and not get frustrated with my body's limitations. Thank you so much.

I broke my tibial plateau and was non weight bearing for 12 weeks. I needed emergency surgery. I needed a walker and a cane for about 2.5 more months before walking unaided for the first time again. Its been a long 8 months but today I finally got the courage to try yoga again. Thank you for pushing me past my limits and giving me peace for the things I am really struggling physically to manage now. You've relit the spark for me to keep trying to get back to my old physical capabilities and maybe even reach past them. Occasionally my knees are sensitive, so this was much needed. The shorter stance warrior 2 was eye opening, I will try to remember it for future practices. The bridge pose was tougher than usual because I couldn't figure out how to not clench my glutes, something else I need to work at. Thank you for a wonderful awareness practice. Thank you Adriene for helping me to slow down and give some love to a part of my body that I've been angry at for years. I feel like this practice can really make a difference!

THANK YOU! I first started yoga about 5 or 6 years ago because of knee problems. It was bad...after a long day on my feet at work, I'd have to have my husband help me up the stairs to our apartment on the 3rd floor. I was 23 years old. I thought I was broken in a way I could't fix. I had a friend that was a personal trainer and he started me on weight lifting and stretches to help strengthen my quads and therefore my knees. It helped a lot, but it wasn't until I started doing simple beginner yoga videos on YT on a regular basis that I really noticed a difference. When I found your channel several years ago, I knew I had found my teacher. You have helped me so much with your videos and I can never thank you enough. My whole house does your videos on an almost daily basis now. Even my twin 2 year olds are starting to join us! It's awesome, and I thank you so much for the good you're putting into the world!

I have a RLS it stands for restless legs syndrome, it bothers me not just at night but also during the day time as well, basically I have to deal with it all the time it's awful, and none of the medications for RLS worked for me,since RLS is a neurological disorder as I found out. So I thought since yoga has a lot to do with breath, mind ,and body and a lot of visualization too! That it might help me ,I still have to deal with my condition, but doing yoga regularly has become a way for me to cope and stay in a good state of mind . My dear Adriane.
I hadn't had much time after the earthquake. Last time I wrote you, we were having difficult days but we weren't working due to the lack of safety. The authorities of education in Mexico had to evaluate the buildings before everybody came back to classes. Since I work in a university as a teacher, we couldn't go back until these authorities allowed us to go back.
Those were days with less work and I had the time to practice yoga to relax. After that, we went back and we had to catch up because the end of the course was coming and we were behind the schedule. I must say I even hadn't had time to do yoga and that is something few times happens to me.
I saw this video, I began watching it very thanked, but I couldn't take any time to write.
You were so kind doing this video I asked you for. I tried it once. Though I'm better right now, I felt really good with this marvelous routine, and I have this problems coming back sometimes, and I can improve using this.
    You have my gratitude.
And I hope I will be able to come back to do yoga.

Dear Adriene, I came upon your channel because I did a number of stupid things in a row (among which an attempt to catch a pony in a meadow in which there are some cows - horned ones - with young who ended up chasing me instead... I fell gracefully...ish) and couldn't even stand properly for more than 30 minutes, or ride my bike for more than 1 sec, without ending up with burning or painful knees. My mom had already mentioned your channel, and so I decided to give it a go. This video was immensely helpful in restoring my knees to their former glory! I became very conscious of how I was straining my knees during activities in general, and this consciousness helped me to avoid and change some of my unconscious behavior. Thank you so much for being an amazing instructor, your videos in general have been so very helpful :) I've been feeling so much better in daily life, even during these strange times, that I just wanted to write a thank you message. Thanks again! Much love and appreciation from the Netherlands, Cindy

    Dear Adriene,
You are the best. 11 years; wow! I think I’ve followed you for about nine of them. Of course I’ve had other teachers during this time, but I always come back to you for your great instruction, warmth, and a little humor. The focus on the feet during the bridge pose was enlightening. Thank you.

Intention : begin to relax my butt (figuratively)
Amazing what awareness can transform a pose, I am used to doing bridge pose but when Adriene said to relax my shoulders that's when I did it with ease and I feel grateful for the additional knowledge.
    Thank you Adriene
Have a relaxing weekend beautiful souls

Thank you Adriene for the countless hours I've spent practicing on the yoga mat! I always finish your practices in a better place than when I started. Also we have done a lot of walking over the last week. Don’t remember doing this practice before but hope it is included in more calendars.

31.07.2022 - So glad I chose to tend to my body with this practice rather than 'push through' a full vinyasa flow when my right knee has not been feeling too great all week. A powerful reminder to pay close attention to which muscles I am using to support my joints! Relax glutes, engage inner thighs! Namaste to all 15 people who practiced with me today - a select class!

Thank you Adrienne for always having our back, literally. I discovered yoga because of you and it has changed my life completely. I love the way you encourage us to find what feels good, which is what I did in this practice. My left knee has been sore for a few days so this was perfect and I found a way to make it through the end without feeling any pain at all. Again, thank you, thank you! Or should I say... GRACIAS! Btw, I know you are in Mexico right know and was wondering if you have considered teaching a master class here??? I know that myself and all your Mexican followers would love that! ❤️🇲🇽

I pulled a tendon in my left knee about a month ago. After having to wear a brace for a few weeks, it left my knee very weak. I've been doing this practice every day and I can feel it getting stronger every day. Also little tip for the knee lift at the start of the video. For people who have shorter arms and feel like they're collapsing, use yoga blocks really works wonders and much more comfortable.

I know you have a lot of followers and will probably never read this, but I just wanted to thank you for this video. At the beginning of this summer, I injured the meniscus of my left knee and it severely limited my ability to do yoga. This put me in a state of depression. I found this video and did it twice a week all summer. I am not completely healed at this point, but I am close to normal and pain-free. Thank you so much for your encouragement and healing. It meant a lot to me through a very tough summer.
